I used to work for bens cookies and have made them at home loads of times defo a good one for family and friends my tip on this is to leave the dough in the fridge overnight and roll into balls just before cooking it keeps the cookies from speading to much we also used dark choc for the tripple cookies to. good cookies nice shapes and look at that melted middle :) one final tip to make the best cookies always use choc chunks never chips :) happy cooking

This recipe is absolutely divine! I had to add just a little more flour to make it a dough as it was more of a buttercream consistency, but they came out remarkable! Thank you so much

I made these today and they taste great! - and actually pretty similar to ben's cookies too.
I just used around 360g of chocolate instead of 400g and chopped them up into larger chunks, added a pinch of salt, and left the dough to chill in the fridge for 2 hours before baking them for 9 mins instead of 8.
Thank you for the recipe!

Yes I just add a tiny bit more flour to the dough and some vanilla extract they are yum! X
Tashie Tinks great thank you very much :D
+Tashie Tinks how much flour do you add in this case? :) Nice recipe btw, i did my cookies before and went great!
If we don't have self-raising flour, what can we do ? Thanks for any help 🙏
is the butter unsalted or salted
Far too sweet for my taste. My search for the ultimate cookie recipe continues :-)
They were too sweet for me too but i cut 50grams of sugar and it tasted much better
I agree with you, i’ll try the next one with less sugar.
are these ingredients for 12 cookies or 6?
Can I use plain flour and baking powder instead of self raising flour
yes i have done this and it works fine
Hei my ones turned to be very thin. They melted far too wide. What can the reason be? But were tender in the middle 👍🙂
Just wonder how many pec of cookies can you make it?
Hi Tash quick question how many cookies does it make please? i wanna try these
Laua Mulikiha'amea Hey! this makes around 12, but I usually cook 6 and wrap the remaining dough in clog film and put it in the fridge and then cook the rest the next night as they are so much better warm and fresh out the oven! If I cooked all 12 I would eat them ALL! lol xx
Tashie Tinks Omg these were so perfect i ate 5 lol this is my fav cookies my family is annoying me to bake them again hahaha thankyou so much im a new fan
AMAZING! Glad you and your family loved them they are so yummy!! xx
Holaa, me puedes decir cuantas galletas salen?? Muchas gracias
Does anyone know how to make the dough without the self rising flour? I only have all purpose flour and baking soda. Help!
If i dont add cocoa powder, do i need to add in a little more flour?
yes u add the same amount of flour that you would of used cocopowder. so e.g if its 50g coco powder just add 50g more flour
did you use cacao powder with sugar or without?
I used cocoa powder so with sugar 😊 you could use cacao if you wanted to make them that tad bit healthier! 😜
Substitute for self-raising flour???
Did you copy the recipe of Luke Evans?
Hi! I just wanna ask what was the temperature you use for baking that cookies? and what butter did you use? the unsalted? salted? or just the regular butter that we use at home? thank you :)
She told you the temperature in the video
Its 200 c
How long stay they soft and fresh?
@ Vanessa Simon
They might stay soft and fresh till a week is complete
Depends on the weather around you..
what was the Preheat temperature??
이정은 200*c or around 395*f
has anyone tried this cold?? ive made it sooo many times coz its soooooooooooooooooooo good!!! but I was wondering if it will be gooey if its cold. ive never had a chance to try it out coz it all goes straight away!!
could I instead put chilled ganache so it's sill gooey when its cold
this recipe is actually from Luke Evans ,you should at least mention this recipe was create by him as a respect.
Can l replace the caster sugar with original sugar?
@Nothing basically caster sugar is plain sugar......
It’s just the fancy name
Caster sugar is just the same as granulated sugar
Is it salted or unsalted butter?
I use just regular salted butter x
Step-by-Step Instructions by AI Transcript:
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius (395 degrees Fahrenheit).
Gather the following ingredients:
275 grams of self-raising flour
300 grams of caster sugar
200 grams of butter
50 grams of cocoa powder
200 grams of milk chocolate
200 grams of white chocolate
1 egg
1. Cream together the butter and caster sugar. You can use a mixer or do it by hand.
2. Crack the egg into the mixture and mix it in.
3. Add the self-raising flour and cocoa powder to the mixture. Mix it until combined. If the mixture is too dry, you can add a dash of milk.
4. Add the chocolate chunks (milk and white) to the mixture and mix them in until they are evenly distributed.
5. Roll the cookie dough into balls about the size of a medium egg or slightly larger than a golf ball.
6. Place the dough balls onto a baking tray lined with foil, leaving enough space between them to allow for spreading.
7. Take a square of chocolate (either milk or white) and press it into the center of each dough ball, burying it with the surrounding dough.
8. Once you have prepared all the cookies on the tray, put them in the preheated oven for exactly 8 minutes.
9. After 8 minutes, remove the tray from the oven. The cookies will appear undercooked, but that's how they should be.
10. Let the cookies sit on the tray for at least 10-15 minutes to cool and firm up. They will develop a crust around the edges but remain gooey in the middle.
11. Carefully slide the cookies off the hot tray and allow them to cool completely.
12. Once cooled, enjoy your delicious cookies with their gooey centers and crisp edges.
Note: The transcript mentioned making six cookies, Tash makes around 12 using these quantities, but usually cooks 6 and wraps the remaining dough in clog film and puts it in the fridge and then cook the rest the next night, they are much better warm and fresh out the oven! The video does not specify the preheat temperature for a fan oven. However, in general, when using a fan oven, it is recommended to lower the temperature by about 20 degrees Celsius (or 36 degrees Fahrenheit) compared to a conventional oven. Therefore, for a fan oven, you can try preheating it to around 180 degrees Celsius (or 355 degrees Fahrenheit) and monitor the cookies while baking to ensure they are cooked to your desired level.
What ai did you use?
i'm not a huge fan of actual chocolate flavouring in the dough -- would these work without cocoa powder?
Hey Yeh I make them vanilla too just don't add the cocoa powder and add a little more flour like 300g flour instead of 275g and I also add a teaspoon of vanilla extract and they are amazing!!! X
Tashie Tinks Perfect! Thank you!

How to prevent cookies from getting hard ? My cookies always turn into rocks😂
You might have too much flour, or you might have overcooked them. To prevent over cooking your cookies, watch out for your cookies as theyre baking, dont let ur oven bake ur cookies until they look brown, take ur cookies out when they look light golden even if the timer is still ticking, sometimes the timing isnt accurate. It might look and feel soft and underdone, but thats actually normal since after cooling the cookies for at least 15mins or until theyre no longer hot or warm, the sugars in the cookie will harden and the cookies will be easier to handle 😁
275 grams to 2and 1 quarter cups but 300 grams to 1 and 1 quarter cups? How do u have more cups on the less amount of grams????
Cuz sugar weighs more than flour
My dad forced me to make them I’ll tell y’all how it went 🙂💔
How it went ?😃
We're waiting with bated breath
You look like Katrinakaif
Hi. I've tried baking these cookies. Delicious. However, when I kept them in air-tight containers, they were not csofy n chewy anymore. Could you help me with this?
Lee Anna Cambally Hey! Yeh I know I am yet to get over this problem too, I usually just bake what I am going to eat and keep the dough wrapped up until I want to bake more as they are so quick to cook and taste the best when warm! : ) if you find a solution let me know!! : )
What do you mean? Do they go hard? Or does the chocolate just get hard? Thanks xx
hmmm they just go hard like the chocolate goes hard you can put them in the microwave for a few seconds and its better but always best fresh out the oven! xx
I tried your recipe , but still didn’t eat it 😅
You look like lana rhodes
