Good, clear video and explanation. Just remember to loosen the cover on the brake fluid reservoir before pushing caliper pistons back in and check fluid level when done.
Very good video. Step by step but concise. Tips and additional comments on every part of the procedure. Clean work, as all automotive service technicians should be. Took all necessary precautions. Loved it.
I like your video. You showed it’s not just taken disc and pads off. But the preparation is the most important. Well done
good job guys. keep the neat work going
I think this is cool that you took the time to do this
I have the same problem trying to get my wheels off. I have started putting anti seize on the on the contact point on the wheel and hubs. Plus I coat the lug nut threads with it. My car is a 2013 Camry and the brake assembly is roughly the same. Good clear concise video with easy to follow instructions.
Real thorough video, thanks
instead of a piece of wire holding the brake line you can use a metal tent peg once bent into a S shape works far better
thanks for the video very helpful
Very informative video sir thank you great you shared your knowledge
awesome video.
i have seen copper antiseize being used instead of brake grease on the shims and silicon paste for the sliding bolt/boots...what do you think ?
Excellent How to video 👍

ADVICS are a great pad and the OEM Manufacture ;-) but great video
were there any small springs that went into the holes of the pads to hold them away from the rotor ?
Sorry but did you put the right rotor on the left side? The ventilated strip are not facing the right direction or is it different from a brand to another
Looks like it is the correct direction after he flipped it over. I just got Hawk Talon rotors and HPS pads on the front installed on my 2018 Rav4 XLE. Rear is getting done later this week.
According to their directions he put the passenger side on the driver side.. Hmmmm.
I own a 2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE.
Are there any additional steps involved with my model?
Great tutorial!! Now I just have to work up the courage to attempt this replacement on my 2011 RAV4.
I thought brake clean is not to be used on rubber
brakes name pls and if you can are there any front brakes like this for rav 4 2008 tnaks a lot
So are we suppose to have the hand brake on if we have it on the ground ?
I want to know where to buy this caliper compress tool you shown on video. Please add a link to all the tool use in this video. thank you and keep upload more video.
you can use a C clamp
@@Affordablebath_remodel but he wants to use the compress tool used in the video, which is why he asked specifically for that.
How many miles are on the old pads? I know you were replacing the rotors but it would be
nice to know if they really needed replacing. Did you happen to check their thickness?
I appreciate all the torque specs.
Thanks.
don't replace rotors without replacing the pads
Thanks, you show what other hide...!
s stuck tire/rim never happens if you put anti-seize when you put the rim on!
Shouldn't a kit come with all new clips? Pad clips and wear clips?
Good
What is the bolt size for the two holes in the front of the rotor?
Sampson 8m x1.25m
14:57 Is there a rule of thumb for this part? How do you know if it's too much/ little?
Tighten star wheel till you just start to feel drag then stop. Done.
No wear sensor clips??
They should have came with the pads. My Bosch pads ($24) came with the sensors (4) and two types of pad retainer clips (8).
different set up on a 2005 model
+Steve Varga thank you for your question this video should be good from 2005 thru 2016.
just an fyi the title is 05-16 rav4 but then in the description you say 2006-2012 lol
By your video you put the passenger's side rotor on the driver's side

Other than that awesome video, you guys always help me out with these how to. Thank you
Thank you so much for this video! I managed to change my brake’s pads first time. 😊. But I had problem pushing piston back in, you have to use 2 clamps, sometimes one does not work. Like in this videoruclips.net/video/pxR4ffElpjM/видео.html
