May be I am too idealistic but if humanitarian concerns conflict our political interests then it’s time to revisit them! That would be the smart thing to do even from a practical perspective. The US is gaining nothing but hatred by this unconditional support for Israel and it breaks my heart coz I love American people so much .. good heart good intentions but the Middle East (and now the whole world ) only see ugly politics and it is creation traumatized generations
Maybe having transparent leaders to explain mitigating conspiratorial thoughts. Stop investing in regimes that are deemed terrorists like the Taliban and countries like Pakistan would be a start

As a Christian, Republican, trump supporter-since October 7th I have lost faith in identity politics. I don’t care if you’re left, right, middle, trump or not, Christian or not-this is evil. You don't have to listen to anyone to make a point. Start reading all the books of these facts and statistics. It's better to say the written truth than to say what someone else says and tell them what book you read because when you say someone said this or someone said that, they have a tendancy not to believe you or that it is just gossip. Facts are facts and are indisputable and when you have the rhetoric to back up your facts you can pass on the knowledge. You need to know ALL the history. Anyone who doesn't do research on what Youssef says is being intellectually lazy. Here's a quick example - in his 2 hour interview with Piers Morgan, he showed a "Fatah poster" which he said was from the 1960s ... It looked like a hippie peace poster. Problem is it had nothing to do with the official Fatah movement, but it was a poster some ex-Fatah member living in Australia designed in the 1980s ... The more you dig into his words, the more you realize he's twisting history quite actively to suit his agenda. Considering what pew surveys say about anti-semitism in the land he grew up in, it's not surprising he's got such a warped view in Jews, Israel and anything relating to the land of his wife's family.

It is a feeling between frustration and satisfaction, all my life I have believed that Israel is the light in the darkness and in just 3 months I have learned so much that it is difficult to accept how we have been blind for so long.

Smart people have been ringing the alarm bells for years about the Israeli occupation. We had the largest marches in support of Free Palestine last year 300,000 and 400,000 march on DC. No media coverage. Biden does not speak for the American people. Check the polling on this. Anyone with a heart and mind is repulsed by genocide and forced mass exodus of Palestinians.
This is the kind of dissonance that keeps people dying. Chris was like, "I know about the past, but the 7th...". If he understood the way Palestinians have been treated to all manner of disrespect and degradation, he'd not be so willing to bypass the history so quickly. Furthermore, to dismiss the list of actions engaged in by both Israel and its American spies, including direct assaults on the US military, because, according to Chris, well, "it's messy," that lets you know that he's no better than Piers or any other supposedly objective journalist at recognising the patent bias that shields Israel from any accountability.

As a Palestinian American, I grew up in Palestine and lived most of my life in US.
I want to brief:
1: Palestinians will not migrate to other countries, because this is their land for thousands of years , not because Arab countries will not take them.
2: The only fair , lasting solution is one state democratic state for all Palestinians and Israelis who want to stay ( Democratic state , not Jewish)
3: The support of US to Israel is turning 2 billion Muslims in the world to hate US .
4: The current Arab dictators , who control their people , so US will feel the heat of the hate. Those dictators will be thrown out , and democratically elected leaders will follow what the people want, and we as Americans will not be happy
5: The popularity of the radical Islamic groups ( ISIS and the rest), is because of Israel terrorizing activities toward the Palestinians.
6: The Charter of HAMAS , was changed . They do not recognize Israel , but they recognize Palestinian state on the 1967 borders ( they do not call for Islamic state, despite what is Israeli propagandists say )
7: Even Hizbollah ( Alkhomaini who is the first leader of Iran , in an Interview,in 1980 mentioned , once we defeat the Zionist regime , all the Palestinians will go back to Palestine, and if Jews want to stay in free democratic states, they can stay

It was when I went to the Holy Land in 2017 with my church is when I met the most beautiful kind Palestinian Christians who were out tour guides for our trip, made sure we were safe when we went to the West Bank. I learned so much about the oppression they have endured for more than 75 years. My suggestion is to have Munther Isaac on your show, listen to his sermon “Christ in the Rubble”. Powerful and convicting.
That was a very powerful sermon. I never listened to a sermon in my life, and I listened to Reverend Munther sermon three times.

I like Bassem’s way of thinking,everyone was looking at the symptoms but not at the root of the problem. The root of the problem is that Palestinians have suffered fro a long time of oppressive occupation and violence! If you take people from their homes and arrested and imprisoned,then, there will be a reaction! That is how ‘Hamas’ was born!!!

I was actually glad that he made those arguments, because whether he agrees with them or not (who knows?), some of his viewers will be thinking those things, so he provides Bassem an opportunity to respond to those talking points (and in many cases, to debunk them).
