Oh , Bassam brother when I was anxiously watching Egyptians at the Taharir square I was telling myself it can be chained ever ?! Took a week off work I couldn’t abandon them on the Tahriar SQ it was paining my soul: organization, determination, responsibilities: cleaning after themselves collecting tiny pieces but the left leave me in my puzzle asking what happened to the major Goal? Please both of u have a show on it . I am Egyptian like u but not Egyptian like everyone else. I am sick of wrong and injustice to my core! When I found few like u 2 I shut the door and sit listening by cell cell of my physical body and soul tired wrong! So do not give up Allah gives u power do not abandon us. Most of Bassem’s views are spot on, however one thing I disagree with, If we were truly in charge, including the maniacs that seem to be at the helm, we would have destroyed ourselves a long time ago, there is a power unlike anything we can conceive behind every appearance..the power that brought about trillions of stars,
in this illusion we call existence things happen to make us aware of our need to pay attention and understand ourselves, not to torture and torment human beings..there will always be those who do..there will always be hope.

This also includes clothes, cosmetics and so on without exceptions. He said he eat fish some times, so he is more of a pescatarian. He do it for "his" health not for the well being of the animals.

I was really waiting and hoping that Mo would speak out about the horrors that are going on. I am very disappointed about the extremely mild approach to even remotely addressing exactly what is going on in Gaza. There is no my truth your truth about this. I understand for people like Mo wanting to stay neutral in order not to offend anyone But this is something that we can no longer ignore and everyone must have a stance on. The people of Gaza are being
Slaughtered and we should condemn it and talk about it as much as possible. For those who would say this is not the platform for that because #Unstressable I would respond that No matter how dark the event of life are or how much this would stress us out or even depress us. I believe it is inhumane to close our eyes on what’s going on for the price of our own tranquillity.

If one loses hope in humanity. Because of its dark side and cruelty and the conclusion becomes “It doesn’t matter what we do, those in power will prevail their evil acts” one should be very careful making such statements. In this world, those who lose hope in humanity and the greater good - will become evil themselves. Because if it doesn’t matter at all and we stop trying, then why are we here at all? Before our titles and achievements - we are simply human trying our very best to come through life. We shall not forget that behind the face and the bones, every one of us are the same. To publicly state, that nothing matters anymore is a great mistake. Imagine a Palestinian kid listening to grownups that they look up to. Because through the pain and darkness that they live right now as we speak, Bassem has managed to be their voice. Or at least voice awareness about the tragedy that is happening in Gaza. Imagine if those innocent children heard Bassem say “It doesn’t matter”. Their pain will become greater and their suffering even more. Don’t fear the change. Believe and fight.
I remember when I first time heart Mr. Gawdat speak about his personal life. About his child and the pain. In that time it was the beginning of my pain in life, that still is going on today. But listening to Mr. Gawdat and how he transformed as human. As a man. And how he used the pain to do good in this world - was very inspiring to me. Because I am right now fighting for the truth. And the truth in my case, will emerge. I just need to be a little more patient. I have Sabr in my heart. But in the beginning I thought that the truth would set me free. But now after almost five years of struggling I have come to the understanding- that the pain I am going through in this very hard times of my life. That pain, will set me free. Great thinkers and unbelievably amazing people as Mr. Gawdat himself has managed to plant strength and hope in me. I will always be thankful for that. And the great Bassem, I actually met him in person when he was in Copenhagen to do his show. We talked a little back stage. He is a great human being. Before his comedy and career - he is just a cool dude. But to say it doesn’t matter what we do, nothing will change - I think is a big mistake from him. And I don’t believe that he truly believes that.

For the millions of people disabled by long covid and who have lost their health, minds, relationships and lives, covid is not over!. And people are still dying. People want to forget and go into denial as they did during the pandemic. They dont want the discomfort of reality and dont want to face their own mortality. Same thing with the Palestinian genicide, its easier to deny its happening than face the horrible reality of what it means for all of us, namely , that humans are losing their humanity. We live in a simulcrum but we do still have to speak and act to stay sane. Even if we lose the fight, at least we will have tried and in the trying saved our humanity, if only in that moment. People are waking up to the fact that they have been duped by the systems, especially technology, duped into giving up and becoming passive, which is what the powers that be want. Being human is being political, it's naive to think that it's not. None of us know what the result of our actions will be, but there is massive change happening in that people are waking up to this all and this WILL effect the system and the course if history in some way. There's always hope and even if you feel there's not, to remain human you have to keep striving to be a better himan and that will have an effect even if none of us can know what it will be because its bigger than we can ever know. Reality is not representation and our theories about it. Get off line and connect with people and the real world and your own body. Act, speak with your body, know thyself and find out what it means to be actually alive and concious by living in this world with compassion and meaning and moving beyond your ego and uour own selfishness. .
