M. Youssef, what you say and your positions have an impact and resonate with millions ... please keep up and things will end up by changing because, as you said, everything is temporary ...
MO. Please tell the Doctor for the Soul we need him to come to south Africa!. You too. I was a diplomat and my first posting was to Cairo. Stayed in Maadi and worked in Giza. The powerhouse of North Africa and we the powerhouse in the south!. Visit us. Get to know us and see how far we have come because Palestine will follow in our footsteps. See the future of Palestine...
When bad things happen in life I say, “and this too shall pass”, and when things are going extra well I say, “and this too shall pass”. I just make sure that am enjoying living in the moment.
This format is way better, Mo, more human, I mean, interacting directly. I am very grateful to have discovered you two months ago. You give me clarity, and I really wish we could connect on another dimension philosophically, because I totally resonate with your thoughts.
Ya Bassem i understand that you say, you're not an expert about the Palestinian cause. Nor am I as the most of the people, but we have all common sense, and most of us have a heart in our chest. Some might only have stone where the heart should be. Otherwise you can't understand the crimes done in this conflict. Peace 🕊
Please stop conflict cause that word conflict means both sides have same power which is not true. May Allah swt protect, honour, grant peace and freedom to my brothers and sisters
Mo, I love your content! Thank you for this installment with the wonderful Bassem Youssef. I was hoping to hear your thoughts on the AI programs like "Lavender" and "Where's Daddy" being used by Israel in Gaza. Please speak out on this if you can. Thank you
I have been following Bassem for many years. I understand what it is to move to another country and start your life all over. Incredibly hard, but also it is an opportunity. I am so happy for all his success. He is very smart, intelligent, kind and compassionate. I hope his success will continue. Wishing him all the BEST.
What a wonderfull combination watching this two guys in a meaningfull talk, about some important things, which move us all these times. Thank you for this Video ❤
Oh , Bassam brother when I was anxiously watching Egyptians at the Taharir square I was telling myself it can be chained ever ?! Took a week off work I couldn’t abandon them on the Tahriar SQ it was paining my soul: organization, determination, responsibilities: cleaning after themselves collecting tiny pieces but the left leave me in my puzzle asking what happened to the major Goal? Please both of u have a show on it . I am Egyptian like u but not Egyptian like everyone else. I am sick of wrong and injustice to my core! When I found few like u 2 I shut the door and sit listening by cell cell of my physical body and soul tired wrong! So do not give up Allah gives u power do not abandon us. Look at the youth thirst for justice!
I think change is effected by our voices, just not as much as we would like. Sadly, I think change is slow - multi generational - but we keep pushing, if we give up it's definitely lost. (24:40 ish)
I like that you both are arguing material power or materialism versus networking powering or ideological power. And how to organize them into which is the priority to create our space on the hill against powers at be. Thank you!
Yes Bassem the only thing possible in the west is speaking and not completely freely, but can you imagine silence, no one saying anything while the killing is going on?
So VERY interesting! Two superb humans. I especially loved the AI discussion as well. Subscribed. Wish Bassem's show was coming to Cape Town, South Africa!
This is the greatest depressing episode! Thank you! Love the banter back and forth and the ability you both have to not always agree with each other is delightful. Even if the sky is falling I feel better knowing you guys are somehow at the helm!
I’ve been praying for the end of times, not to meet Jesus, or any religious reasons, but because I’ve given up on humanity, due to all the atrocities we’re witnessing that have become a daily reel!!! I can’t/ don’t want to live in a world like this!
Guys, it's wonderful seeing you both together discussing very important topics on world view. To Mo I say keep pushing your thoughts on using AI to better the world and to Bassen I say keep doing what you are doing to save humanity and allow me to adopt this slogan for now "Human lives MATTER". 🙏🙏🙏
Most of Bassem’s views are spot on, however one thing I disagree with, If we were truly in charge, including the maniacs that seem to be at the helm, we would have destroyed ourselves a long time ago, there is a power unlike anything we can conceive behind every appearance..the power that brought about trillions of stars, in this illusion we call existence things happen to make us aware of our need to pay attention and understand ourselves, not to torture and torment human beings..there will always be those who do..there will always be hope.
Thank you Bassim and Mo, I like Bassim’s comment about humanity!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a pity you have left behind you the leaders of a country and society riddled with hate and racism and law down cheap society who have become total beggars. I am sorry to have a strong opinion. The reason I have this opinion my people suffered extreme cruelty in Egypt.
And, you get harassed or punished in a way or another for expressing yourself freely, example the university students and some you tube hosts and more...
Watching you two is like imagining a conversation between Ibn Sina and al Khawrizmi in Western clothing. 😅. Such disturbing topics covered with such informed discourse. May Almighty bring enlightenment and peace back to normal for everyone.
Well, he is plant based. Being vegan is not a diet. It means you avoid, as far as possible, all kinds of exploitation and harm to animals. This also includes clothes, cosmetics and so on without exceptions. He said he eat fish some times, so he is more of a pescatarian. He do it for "his" health not for the well being of the animals.
I was really waiting and hoping that Mo would speak out about the horrors that are going on. I am very disappointed about the extremely mild approach to even remotely addressing exactly what is going on in Gaza. There is no my truth your truth about this. I understand for people like Mo wanting to stay neutral in order not to offend anyone But this is something that we can no longer ignore and everyone must have a stance on. The people of Gaza are being Slaughtered and we should condemn it and talk about it as much as possible. For those who would say this is not the platform for that because #Unstressable I would respond that No matter how dark the event of life are or how much this would stress us out or even depress us. I believe it is inhumane to close our eyes on what’s going on for the price of our own tranquillity.
If one loses hope in humanity. Because of its dark side and cruelty and the conclusion becomes “It doesn’t matter what we do, those in power will prevail their evil acts” one should be very careful making such statements. In this world, those who lose hope in humanity and the greater good - will become evil themselves. Because if it doesn’t matter at all and we stop trying, then why are we here at all? Before our titles and achievements - we are simply human trying our very best to come through life. We shall not forget that behind the face and the bones, every one of us are the same. To publicly state, that nothing matters anymore is a great mistake. Imagine a Palestinian kid listening to grownups that they look up to. Because through the pain and darkness that they live right now as we speak, Bassem has managed to be their voice. Or at least voice awareness about the tragedy that is happening in Gaza. Imagine if those innocent children heard Bassem say “It doesn’t matter”. Their pain will become greater and their suffering even more. Don’t fear the change. Believe and fight. I remember when I first time heart Mr. Gawdat speak about his personal life. About his child and the pain. In that time it was the beginning of my pain in life, that still is going on today. But listening to Mr. Gawdat and how he transformed as human. As a man. And how he used the pain to do good in this world - was very inspiring to me. Because I am right now fighting for the truth. And the truth in my case, will emerge. I just need to be a little more patient. I have Sabr in my heart. But in the beginning I thought that the truth would set me free. But now after almost five years of struggling I have come to the understanding- that the pain I am going through in this very hard times of my life. That pain, will set me free. Great thinkers and unbelievably amazing people as Mr. Gawdat himself has managed to plant strength and hope in me. I will always be thankful for that. And the great Bassem, I actually met him in person when he was in Copenhagen to do his show. We talked a little back stage. He is a great human being. Before his comedy and career - he is just a cool dude. But to say it doesn’t matter what we do, nothing will change - I think is a big mistake from him. And I don’t believe that he truly believes that.
If there is a freedom of speech we call it democracy. But if that speech has no effect on policy making what is the point of having democracy, or may be democracy is no longer a viable way of having participatory governance.
Ugh AI terrifies my soul honestly & after this it scares me more even if there is a chance to improve the world.. I just don’t see leaders using it ethically I don’t
For the millions of people disabled by long covid and who have lost their health, minds, relationships and lives, covid is not over!. And people are still dying. People want to forget and go into denial as they did during the pandemic. They dont want the discomfort of reality and dont want to face their own mortality. Same thing with the Palestinian genicide, its easier to deny its happening than face the horrible reality of what it means for all of us, namely , that humans are losing their humanity. We live in a simulcrum but we do still have to speak and act to stay sane. Even if we lose the fight, at least we will have tried and in the trying saved our humanity, if only in that moment. People are waking up to the fact that they have been duped by the systems, especially technology, duped into giving up and becoming passive, which is what the powers that be want. Being human is being political, it's naive to think that it's not. None of us know what the result of our actions will be, but there is massive change happening in that people are waking up to this all and this WILL effect the system and the course if history in some way. There's always hope and even if you feel there's not, to remain human you have to keep striving to be a better himan and that will have an effect even if none of us can know what it will be because its bigger than we can ever know. Reality is not representation and our theories about it. Get off line and connect with people and the real world and your own body. Act, speak with your body, know thyself and find out what it means to be actually alive and concious by living in this world with compassion and meaning and moving beyond your ego and uour own selfishness. .
The problem with waxing rhapsodic about AI and other tech is we never get to the discussion about WHO controls it and WHY. The glib "you will lose your job" is scary, and the only way to control tech for the common good is via socialism, where PEOPLE matter first, and all tech is for the people's benefit.
The Problem with those Multinationale Companies like Google is their size, their financial Power and the most important advantage is that they operate out of allmost every country in this world. So as a politicion you only have the ability within your national borders setting rules and punish if necessary. Those Companies are only impressed or afraid from loosing marked shares. But, what we gonna do about??
Bassem is very intelligent, educated but a down to earth and humble human being. He deserves all the respect ❤
Two of my favourite people on this planet ♥️from Ireland . 🇮🇪
33:40 "Conflict is an alibi you create to start a war." So true
“The Bigger the ego the smaller you are” so true!
Well said
Lots of rich athletes have big Egos and other highly successful men so im gonna disagree with this
Two genius minds and humanitarian decent souls! If only the world had more of you both.
M. Youssef, what you say and your positions have an impact and resonate with millions ... please keep up and things will end up by changing because, as you said, everything is temporary ...
Great interview.
Yes Mo, re complacence.
Bad things happen when good people stand by and do nothing.
Bassem is a true Hero
Thank you Mo & Bassem for this highly intelligent and powerful conversation!
If only we had few leaders in this world thinking like Bassem !
When bad things happen in life I say, “and this too shall pass”, and when things are going extra well I say, “and this too shall pass”. I just make sure that am enjoying living in the moment.
two egyptian masters! much love and appreciation for both of you!
One of my favourite interviews
Both are wonderful human, intelligent and genuinely talented!
Some of the most brilliant comments on life/fame/ego that I have ever heard on a podcast... actually, anywhere! And a vegan to boot! 🙏
Bassem makes us see the Bassem in each of us..
That's very true man, I feel like part of me is finally talking and finally being heard...
Thanks for your comment
Deep. Compelling. Provokes introspective thought. Brilliant. Thank you.
Excellent!!! I love watching Bassem and Mo has brought a different perspective to the conversation. Very well done indeed.
So true.. the world doesn’t owe us anything.
My mom use to tell me “you are not gold” to everybody.
Yup ..self love ❤️and self sufficient.
This format is way better, Mo, more human, I mean, interacting directly. I am very grateful to have discovered you two months ago. You give me clarity, and I really wish we could connect on another dimension philosophically, because I totally resonate with your thoughts.

"One has to choose between fame and fortune and Truth and honesty" Norman Finkelstein said something like that ...
Finkelstein gets that from Benda's book, The Treason of the Intellectuals.
God be with Dr.Bassem
Bassem Youssef .. Great personality.. Allahumma barik
Mo, I love your content! Thank you for this installment with the wonderful Bassem Youssef. I was hoping to hear your thoughts on the AI programs like "Lavender" and "Where's Daddy" being used by Israel in Gaza. Please speak out on this if you can. Thank you
A great interview with alot of reasonable wisdom, thanks ❤
I love Bassem's straight forward opinion. Telling the truth as is. Simple yet so difficult to do in these times. We are indeed lead by psychopaths.
Baseem speach in in in recent past was amazing every one should listen it.
2 intelligent, caring, courageous human beings who know how to walk the path of love, truth and humanity
I have been following Bassem for many years. I understand what it is to move to another country and start your life all over. Incredibly hard, but also it is an opportunity. I am so happy for all his success. He is very smart, intelligent, kind and compassionate. I hope his success will continue. Wishing him all the BEST.
Politicians are actively participant tools but aren't the planners and the decision makers.
Mashallah such an intelligent man 🤓 and that’s why the west are scared of him - truth hurts.
Thank to both of you for this wonderful interview
Two of my favourite men to listen to talking, thank you.
What a wonderful conversation between friends n peers. More please☪️🤲

This is the greatest depressing episode! Thank you! Love the banter back and forth and the ability you both have to not always agree with each other is delightful. Even if the sky is falling I feel better knowing you guys are somehow at the helm!
Outstanding episode. Thank you both.
Great interview 👏
May Allah grant you content and keep you both safe physically and spiritually.

I can’t/ don’t want to live in a world like this!
Awesome podcast !
Two totally amazing men. They have left me with renewed hope for this world. Thank you, gentlemen
I have hope that the world continues to produce intelligent people but I probably have , as they have, given up hope for humanity!
Bassem, a rare Prince among men.
Thank you so much for this video. It was very beneficial. Keep up the Great Work! Much appreciated!
People definitely can change policy : if people get together can throw government out.
He is so right. That is how they think and sadly it affects the majority of people.

🎉❤Thank you guys
When listening to this podcast I have to put the bass down and treble up due to the strong powerful voices here
Most of Bassem’s views are spot on, however one thing I disagree with, If we were truly in charge, including the maniacs that seem to be at the helm, we would have destroyed ourselves a long time ago, there is a power unlike anything we can conceive behind every appearance..the power that brought about trillions of stars,

Such a complicated world 🌎 we live in.😞chaos is inevitable.
thank you
My favorite Mo i didn’t know to you have podcast. I’m happy to subscribed you.
I heard that Egyptian thinkers are very unique in the world...
Min 29:30 they don’t get bored, they feel hopeless and helpless.
Which is systematic.
Love it!
Amazing interview , love both of them !
Eye opening. Love you guys 🥰✌️
اتمنى من باسم يوسف يشوف حلقة الدحيح عن فلسطين فيها معلومات عظيمة
The toughest part is motivation to actually solving the situation in mass at the same time. That’s my input on this subject, who knows , exactly?
‘Not JP, thanks. I feel he has a completely world view. That isn’t necessarily about climate and reason.
He’s a genius and kind man.
Exceptional..
as an Egyptian it amazes me that we have role models from our country and are pretended that they don't exist it's infuriating
Thank you Bassim and Mo, I like Bassim’s comment about humanity!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes. Highlight the system.
Congrats 🎊 on your new marriage!
Change is impossible until it is inevitable We have won change before and we can do it again. Organize, Protest, Lobby, Vote.

Didn't you had a channel Mo. Legend 👍
