Hope you’ll able to look into projector headlamps soon especially when you put LED bulbs in so it gives off defined cutoff pattern and nice and bright!😊
Yep, I’ll be doing this very soon. Unfortunately, the Phillips Ultinon LEDs that I bought are H7 and my new headlights need H11 for the dip beam. The main beam is H7 so I’ll probably use the bulbs in that and get some new ones for dip.
@@BeavisPits Philips Ultinon Pro9100 H11 I would go for for projector dip! Least you can put the H7 philips ultinon in main beam which is a good thing so you can see where you’re going!😂
Thanks for the mention Scott 👍🏻😀. Does your car have start/stop on it? We would like to put a leasure battery on our car sometime into the future and am interested in seeing how it can be done while keeping the start/stop functionality happy at the same time. 😀 - Scott
Yes, mine is start stop. I plan to use a intelligent relay thing to charge the second battery when engine running but not allow it to be drained by the starter motor. This is what I bought… www.ebay.co.uk/itm/394193451771?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ymkoiwldqum&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=3rl5rwijqno&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
@@BeavisPits I'm going to be fascinated to see how it all pans out when you come to do it. In my head my concern is that the Freelander 2's with Start/Stop already have an intelligent battery monitoring system on them. I'm just wondering if you add another intelligent battery monitoring system, would there be too much intelligence and could they counteract each other🤔. I'll keep my eyes peeled ready to be amazed. 😁 - Scott
Would you not consider relensing those headlights which is something im considering, i was lucky enough to pick up a pair of projectors very cheap(less than £70) but i found the light spread from the old set far better. Paper filters will reduce moisture going through to sump.
I don’t think the front ‘glass’ is easily removable. I’m pretty sure it is glued in. The clips just hold it in place while the glue sets during the manufacturing process. I now have a pair of projector lights and will be swapping over to these very soon. The old halogens are beyond repair and will be going in the bin.
I've been watching vids where they put them in box heat them up until glue softens then remove the lens, I'm thinking bout giving it a go summer😂 if we get one.
No amount of restoring will remove the cracks from the glass. They have had it and will be binned. I will remove the beam adjuster motor and release mechanism though and keep them as spares.
Really enjoying the VLOG series. It gives enough time to cover a multitude of topics. AND we had the cameo appearance by Pit Lane Kitty!
Ad's are fine Scott. Dont worry about it. If it helps you keep the channel going, all the better 👍
