Ep. 9 - Giant Pumpkin Plants - Busting out of the Hoop House!!

The giant pumpkin plants are starting to bust out of their hoop houses! As with the rest of the spring so far, we are still getting plenty of rain and my new giant pumpkin patch is still plenty wet. The weeds in my patch are really starting to take off as well. In this video, I answer some questions I received from some viewers and give updates on each of my plants. I go over some things I do and why I do them. I also cover how I bury vines and what I add when burying the vines.

I tend to only remove the tendril that are in the way. I’ve removed everyone and found it was more work than I needed and I didn’t see any difference. Like male flowers yeah they take some energy but likely the plant has more then in needs. Might make a difference for those trying to get those extra couple pounds
