- A giant pumpkin on the 1643 New plant has been pollinated with 4 male flowers from the 2501 Bernstrom plant. Just like previous updates, it rained almost every day since the last update. We have dry weather in the forecast so hoping the 1643 New plant and 1005 Clementz plant start to kick it into gear. The 2501 Bernstrom plant is still doing well.

I feel bad for you growers in the upper Midwest. The rain has been non stop up there
On Sunday, the forecast had said no rain for 5 days. Now, it says we are going to get 2 to 3 inches tonight. Ugh!
Can’t wait to see them run once you get a bit of dry weather. Oxygen back to the roots will do wonders.
If they start to run, I am going to have to find more time to keep up with weeding and burying vines. Not a bad problem to have.
