    Dang looking good. I got one pollinated over the weekend, but often my first one doesn’t take. Went firm 35 to 90 in three days. More fruit to come but I might be behind haha

      Getting fruit to set in the heat is tough. Hope she takes for you.

    Hello Doc ... great videos. I have learned a lot from them. Question: How long do you wait usually after pollination before you take the peddles off the female?

    • @docrodebaugh
      @docrodebaugh  20 дней назад

      I remove most of the petals off 24hrs after pollination. The firmly attached area next to fruit is allowed to stay for another 3-4 days. It eventually softens up and comes off with ease.

    Team doc!!! I also have a stem that looks similar. Almost like a hole not a split. Whats your game plan on doctoring up that stem?😂

    • @docrodebaugh
      @docrodebaugh  23 дня назад

      Good question. When the stem splits early in the fruits life I just keep the area dry and let them scar over naturally without any direct intervention.

      Interesting how you are having the driest June, but up here in Wisconsin, we have one of the wettest May/June that I can remember. If you haven’t watched my recent updates, I am basically trying to grow one of my pumpkins in a swamp at this point.

      I've been following the Turner grow. Your ground is beyond saturation sir. You could run an airboat across that patch.

    What is green board ? I used to drywall houses in the 90s green board was a term used to describe Drywall that was moisture resistant in the bathroom. But what are you calling Green board? It can't be Drywall.

    • @docrodebaugh
      @docrodebaugh  22 дня назад +1

      Good ear Mark. No, not gypsum green board. 1" foam insulation board. The same stuff a lot of folks use to top their pallets for fruit transport.

      @@docrodebaugh OK so not truly a green board just a foam board OK nice yes I still have one good ear left and I think one good 👁️? 😂
