    You know, I used to install proper electric fence energizers for burglars. 9900 Volts at 8 joule is quite a kick so I know what these things can do but you caught me totally off guard with the microwave transformer. For a moment I thought what type of energizer arcs like that!!?? Nice one... . .

    Would of been nice if you actually showed HOW you set it up .... wired it, how many wires go to the pole & how are they hooked up? Do they run INSIDE of the copper pipe?

    My experience with electric fences is when it delivers a charge it takes a minute for the charge to build back up

    • @CurtBagne

      This particular driver continuously delivers pulses. Each is capable of producing a little spark(actually used the driver to see if a spark plug was fouled once). That said, I think that if it does discharge, the subsequent couple of charges might be slightly weaker until the capacitor fully fills back up. Haven't measured this but that's what it seems like.

    That’s mean. Poor squirrels. Why don’t you use a baffle? It’s much cheaper and doesn’t hurt the animals.

    • @CurtBagne
      @CurtBagne  Год назад +1

      Baffles are ugly and this doesn't cause any damage to the animals. They just jump down and go about their business.

    Oh what cruelty do we have here Your solution for the squirrel problems is use cayenne pepper and Hot Chili Pepper mix it with a bird feeder it will not harm the birds the squirrels and the Chipmunks and other Critters don't like it cuz it's too hot for them and they'll leave your bird feeder alone
