Using Kubuntu 24.04. Does not show up in context menu of Dolphin. Is this an Ubuntu problem or Kubuntu specific. Cannot seem to fin information on howto fix this.
Yes but gdebi is better for just installing a third party deb file. Synaptic will let you do a lot of things graphically that you do with apt/dpkg commands. Not suitable for absolute beginners.
guys if gdebi doesnt showup in the app centre try this command in the terminal
sudo apt install -y gdebi
Hello, it tells me that the directory has not been found and it does not appear in the store either, can you give me a hand?

You mean the option to install/open the deb file is not there in Dolphin context menu? There should be some 'open with' option, I believe.
Again thank you for sharing the knowledge.
Welcome :)
Was GDebi removed from the App Center? I'm on 24.04 LTS and it just doesn't show up.
you'll have to try a few times ... type and wait... tyoe again and wait... deb package caching is an issue
