My laptop's hdmi wasnt working properly (showing my workspace on 50% of the screen and the other 50% was a solid white block) and I have a GeForce RTX 2050. So, I selected the nvidia (proprietary, tested) driver and this problem was solved! Thanks a lot!

    About *DNS*
    1. Ubuntu 24.04 is supposed to ship with Unbound recursive & caching resolver.
    2. Most regard *quad9* as a nore secure DNS resolver than Google or Cloudflare. It is DNSSEC verifying.

Wow, you're amazing! You even solved my problems about amd64 where my graphic card is not supported anymore so I had damaged packages and I couldn't install any program by terminal. All started when I've tried installing directly version 24.04 but with no success, so after installed 22 I've updated to 24 but there demaged packs came through.
Now it's all fixed and all works properly with my actual Ubuntu 24.04, and I can install what I want! Thank you!

Great video @linuxtex. Question for you though. Under Gnome Tweaks section of the video, you mention DON'T touch the mouse cursor customization. That it is a HUGE bug and known issue, that it can cause Ubuntu to crash and break and doesn't boot back up. Well, I found this out on my own last night. I just found this video today and I'm glad I found it, because I was wondering WHAT IN THE H*LL just happened?!?!?! Then my next question was and is, so HOW are we supposed to change the mouse cursor packages if you can't do it through Gnome Tweaks?

I appreciate where this is coming from, but really a lot of these things are not good advice. In fact, some of the defaults get removed when you try to install a lot of the stuff and some of those defaults are actually better than what you're trying to install since it's optimized for the OS. Again, I know you mean well and I know it's coming from the right place.
