I've been doing the double HCB for DP into pretzel super or just double HCB for a quick reversal super but never realized why it worked until today. Very enlightening!
Very sick video bro. I just got Guilty Gear Strive and have been trying to learn this style of gaming. This is really informative and eye opening for me. Thanks!
There are a few more essential things I can think of, like tigerknee motions, negative edge with motion inputs, 360/720. But yea I think the common ones have been covered. Hopefully it helps.
Played kof for a while and discovered the tiger knee input but could never work out the bc dash up. For some reason people just tend to gate keep this information. Thank you now I can finally do BC combo in kof 2002 😂😂
You might know this already but the dash has been automatic since KOFXIII. It does require some execution skills in 02/02um and perhaps a bit of creativity with how you can embed the first forward command within a move.
Hey I wanted to say that as someome who's new to arcade atick your videos have been really helpful! Especially for KOF games! However, the dp into half circle forward cancel is difficult amd seems impossible. Its more relevant for Robert but other AOF characters may apply too. I just feel like Im not wuock enough to do it. Best i got was doing it 2 times in a row. And its a thing i have to do in trials of KOF XV too. Regardless, I appreciate this video a ton! I wish there were more helpful videos like yours out there! Thank you veru much!
@@YXiao That's absolutely true! Though again, I try not to think about the fact that I could do some of these things before and I obviously struggle now with a new control scheme. And yeah that's totally okay! Everyone does learn at their own pace, and when it comes to an arcade stick, I generally feel like I have more control over my inputs compared to when I was playing on the controller. I also find the visualization part much easier too. Like, when I'm doing complicated things I still prefer to break them down and practice each part individually. But just picturing what I need to do is much easier so I don't have to do that as often, if it makes sense
I think as long as you can get over the stage of thumb=up and the asymmetric direction layout, hitbox is the best because each finger has its task and can operate separately. This has overcome a lot of physical limitations of, say, stick, where going toward opposite directions inevitably require you to tilt the whole stick to the other side, which takes more time by default than what hitbox could achieve.
@@YXiao i have an xbox series x controller and a ps5 one, i find my self playing better with the xbox since it has more tactical d-pad an buttons as well from the ps5 one, i literally have not seen a single pro at dbfz playing with an xbox controller, most controller players are using ps4 dualshock for some reason, i thought about going to an arcade stick but they are super expensive
Do you play on PC? If you do, try a layout of ASD+space to simulate a hitbox layout and see if you can get used to it. Regardless, work is needed transitioning between any controller. The stick I have here costs about 70 USD.
@@YXiao i play on pc and i have a mechanical keyboard, to be honest my movements are like 10x better with wasd not even space, my combos lack since there are so many buttons, i tried to use the arrow keys that represent controller layout but dragon rush super dash and the assist button mess up my head and confuse me as fuck to be honest i just mess with it on practice for like a minute and pick up the contrller, i havent grind it for months to get used to it, maybe its time to play only with keyboard
DBFZ: Ha! My combos are great, BNB TOD, assists and delay. KOF: Really? Well, here a great execution is required and with no margin for error, my combos are more different for each character, with more resources, stricter and more difficult. Here is the real challenge of a Fighting Game.
Just my way of saying "Stop wasting time debating. Why not teach them how to do it.” to Twitter monsters.
I like it, instead old the condescending lol get gud, you actually try to get people to practice and gain good muscle memory and habits
We appreciate you. Thanks for always putting up quality content.

These should be required viewing for KOF XV...thank you so much for this!
Why I didnt see this video years ago? Thanks Sir, you are so kind!

I think you have covered everything! Delta motions are all I can think of ... and pentagram input lol

@@YXiao It does. Looking forward to part 3 if it happens. Am willing to send codes for games you don't have.
I appreciate it. I'll get games myself if I find -then- them attractive.

It takes time to get used to anything. You don't have to feel pressured in any way. Enjoy the games and enjoy learning at your own pace.

could that fadc trick on your evil ryu example work on Tekken 7 Akuma as well?
That I do not know. I don't have Tekken
insane like always man
Amazing content
Please combos for KOF 2002UM or XV.
Make a video on hop jump (kof)
Simply let go of the upward direction more quickly than doing a regular jump.
With that way accuracy of hit is distributed
@@YXiao 🤔
What is the game at 3:25 ???
Under Night In-Birth
Is it just me or were you using different layouts for 2002UM and XIII?
Obs resets my video capture device every time for whatever reason, so I have to delete and re-add.
Which is the model of the arcade stick?
Qanba Q1
Is there an easy way to do a dash dp input?
6263 for Naoto (BBCF).
Otherwise 6623
