Rich Dave Scott built me a street motor with less compression less camshaft less cubic inch less money and made 80 more horsepower. 557 hemi sheet metal intake pair of 1050s. These guys are the top of the heap purely great people. Remember the Darrell Alderman day's 💪💪💪💪👍

    Well we prepped 13 blocks all the same. If we have an issue we can swap everything over to the next block and leave the old one at the track. Someone may need it for a stool or to prop up their car with. We truly don’t expect to need more than 3 per race. We got more power to tweak once we put it in the car. Can’t be too careful.

I've been looking to replace my small block in my 79 Volare duster drag car with a big block that can rev to high rpm like this, I rev my small block to 8500rpm before I shift it but this thing seriously winds up!! Awesome stuff!!

    It's great to see a Mopar engine perform like this. My question is, when will the technology bleed down to a set of affordable heads that could be ordered off Jeg's, Summit, etc. There have been heads available for Chevy and Ford that produce good hp for years. Those of us dedicated to Mopar are left with no choice but to pay if we want to play. I have an altered that I refuse to put a Chevy in but can't afford the Mopar motor I want to put in it!

    Hi Neil.
    Man I dig this engine, I’ve probably watched it 10 times since you posted it. I like seeing a B1 head ran at these smaller cubic inches. I see the steel T&D rockers… what does the rest of the valve train look like? Do you disclose the cam specs, core size, lift, & duration…? Also what about the oil system? Have you looked at the bearings after running it at this rpm?
    Thanks for sharing.

    Love it , great build. What CR are you running ? It's hard to get a piston for a 400 block unless it is stroked. I'm rebuilding my 400 into a 500 and want to make 1400 hp with Predator heads. This sounds incredible !

    • @NitroNeil
      @NitroNeil  Год назад +7

      I would strongly consider an aftermarket block if you're throwing that much stroke at it. Part of what lets this work and live is the 3.4 stroke. If you dont already have the predator heads, consider the B1 heads if you're going to be in the 500" range.
