+Elissa Sok Yaung hi bong just to let you know I made this!! It was really good but got really sour the next day. What I did different was I bought a bigger size cabbage and used the whole thing. Once I put it in the Jar there wasn't enough liquid so I was afraid it wouldn't get sour so I made extra sauce (vinegar sauce) and that's how it got really sour quickly maybe next time I'll make it that day. But for the old folks it was a little too sour but it's okay rather sour than not right lol.. Thank you so much!..

Can I "can" it in a mason jar to make it last longer and so it doesn't spoil like pickles at the store? I'm sad bcuz my mom made me some and after a week it grew mold. 😭
If sealed in a jar, and keep in the refrigerator it can last for a very long times (months) but it will be a little bit sour and the color kind of fade. If you want the fresh taste and bright color, it's good about a week in the refrigerator.
You can trying using splenda or other alternative sugar substitutions. The pickle is sweet and sour if we don't use sugar it would not have that sweet taste, unless you don't want it sweet then you can use less or none.
Mark Lawrence there's more sugar in a 12 oz can of coca cola. 10 table spoons of natural cane sugar isn't as bad as 39 grams grams of sugar, hf corn syrup at that. 😎

Immediately it’s just won’t be as sour. Overnight is best.
