Seems pretty well thought out. Good catch with all the hints that Kinger knows more than it seems. Definitely seems like something that may come into play later.
I noticed Kinger knows a lot of things but will randomly forget or go back to his nervous demeanor. I also noticed that Jax stares into the camera in both episodes, but I'm not sure why either of these things are yet!
My head canon is that Abel is the name of whoever developed the game. And that they named the Host AI Caine as a kind of inside joke and reference to the bible.
Foolish chess theory: Caine is trying to take Kinger's AI out too (maybe real Kinger is dead, but he managed to upload himself into the Circus at some point?); he keeps throwing his own queens at him. Queenie is off the board; all that's left at this point is checkmate. Even the circus floor is a chess board, like come on.
I never thought about the fact that if this was a public server thing there would be more people, you make a solid point. But this does make me wonder how many people have been abstracted since the Circus' inception.
Definitely a lot of people, but the speed at which they trickle is is very slow (hence why Jax is confused if Pomni is a human or an ai at the start). It could have been very fast at the start but slowed down over time though, all we know is now its likely been pulled from any public server!
Honestly i think it's a good theory but i'd take a different angle on it. Kinger is the oldest so it could easily be 'assumed' by those who also remain he is indeed human since he'd have been around as long as / longer than they have... but his chess piece vibe dosn't fit the kingdom he's lost control of. Now we could possibly see hidden chess elements in future episodes, there was queeney too afterall, buuuuut. Personally, given how the episode ends, this video sparked the idea he's just an NPC mixed in with the others. Like the Gator he seemed to catch on oddly quickly to his situation, though, was definitely changed by it. Kinger could just be a super well versed NPC, talking so matter of factly about the digital situation they find themselves in because he has been forced to understand what his life is, ad it broke him. Cain does suggest afterall bad things could happen when you forget who the players are and who the NPCs are...
incase kinger isnt abel or anything its possible that abel has to do something with the void/is somewhere in the void since caine said something about how he doesnt know whats in the void implying that there is stuff out in the void
If we are assuming that religious symbolism foreshadows the future, then it is interesting to note that in the dinner in episode 1 which emulates the Last Supper, Da Vinci's painting got the details completely WRONG. Jesus, featured in the center with red and blue like Pomni, already an interesting detail, was actually at the head of the table. Judas, who would betray Jesus, actually sat on Jesus' left, while John, the "disciple Jesus loved," sat on his right, unlike the painting which has John in the correct position, but Judas randomly in the group. Were the painting to have the correct positioning, Jax would be in Judas' seat, and Gangle in John's... Additionally, there is no foot of the table, but Ragatha is as far from Pomni as possible, which would be the position that Peter, the first pope, would be, because he was being a salty little $%#^ because he couldn't sit next to Jesus... What any of this means, other than Jax is a dick and a traitor, is anyone's guess. Pomni finding the Exit and becoming a "savior" could be one guess, or perhaps she will abstract and come back from it, finding a way to help the others who abstracted. It did seem like she fixed her own hand. Or maybe she's the antichrist and will kill "god," aka Caine. Ragatha being Pomni's strongest supporter could be why she's in Peter's spot, on the other hand, Pomni abandoning Ragatha in the first episode is an inverse of how Peter abandoned Jesus at his crucifixion. Gangle being in John's spot doesn't really seem to mean anything though... Unless you, and stay with me here, assume that Gangle is an NPC, like Gummigoo, who will be killed due to the actions of Jax, effectively betraying Pomni and everyone to Caine, god/satan and causing her to abstract. My evidence that Gangle is an NPC is only that her comedy mask "breaking" should not control her actual emotions, unless she is a program, and that the "figurine thing" Jax threatened to out Gangle over to Ragatha has nothing to do with a figurine of Ragatha, but is actually Gangle's character model she has hidden from Caine.
If you research the idea of Mind uploading then there is an existentially horrible conclusion. When the headgear was put on it could have uploaded the mind of the person, making a digital copy of their personality. The cast of "people" are as human as any of the NPC's. Caine doesn't want NPC's staying with the 'people' since it is hard to tell them apart. Caine doesn't know what to put after the "exit" doors since there is nothing for Pomni and the others to go back to even if they remember the world. If you figured out that you were not real then abstraction seems like a plausible result.
I think the bucket helped Kinger by cutting down on the sensory information around him, allowing him to think more clearly.
Possibly, I wouldn't put it past the series!

I totally agree!
"bubble" sounds like "abel"
bubble is probably just abel
caine and bubble may be ai alternatives of the developers
Also Caine "kills" Bubble at multiple points.
You might actually be a genius. I never would have thought of that connection.

I noticed the same with Kinger! He definitely knows more than he lets on. I didn't notice that with Jax tho! Good find!

It's always a possibility! Nothing is set in stone just yet :)

Its possible!
...what if Caine came back as Jax based off this thought?
