I actually really appreciate that Pom doesn't even hesitate to take the exit when she finds it, like she pauses for a second but she doesn't try to stay for the sake of a bunch of "people" she just met. Of course it doesn't work, but there's something about that; you don't usually see it in shows

Jax seems to 'play along' more than anybody else. He mentioned that they'd need to work Pomni into the song, he suggested Kaine do an adventure, he was glad to receive the reward. He seems to "accept" the way things are the most.
He also seems to have a handle on the world more than the others. They check on the clown and he is able to run far faster than he should be able to, has keys everywhere, and with the one way he is looking seems to know about the 4th wall. Me thinks Jax may have either been the creator of this place, or the origial tester, or even knew what he was getting into and made sure to go in to both stay and have an edge.
Wonderful, introduces the world and characters perfectly and sets up some intriguing mysteries. Would love to see more, congratulations to the whole team

The implication that Caine DOES NOT know how to let the humans leave is unnerving. When talking about the Exit, he interpreted it as the Circus Members requesting a new room for them to explore, rather than a way out. If Caine doesn't even know how to let them leave, how are they supposed to get away...
Tbh I think it's more like he knows they want to leave and what 'leave' implies, however he'd rather keep them there. Something about the way he talks about admitting to their actually being an exit door leaves me thinking its definitely some kind of malice with however many layers of madness and insanity tacked on over it. He definitely keeps them there. He takes a few breaks when explaining himself and while you could say he just needs a moment to collect his memory, you could more effectively and convincingly chalk it up to him making shit up to suit his needs in lying to them and keeping everyone trapped.
It's worth noting Pomni recognized the moldy computer and VR headset in the main office space room of the "exit" area. There was also some out of place misc science equipment next to it. Maybe part of reality seeping through or something. Also C&A probably stands for Cain and Abel. Meaningless now but worth noting.
THe creator Gooseworx confirmed already that He isn't evil, he just likes messing with people. I think the reality of it is he's a computer game designed to keep people playing for as long as possible. When Pomni gets ithrough to the void through the escape door he says "OH NO someone is in the void! IT WILL BE SPOILED" From that my understanding is that to get out you have to go into the void, but he's only specifically allowed to LET people into the void if they probably beat the game. He's not evil, he's just doing what he is programmed to do, the issue is it can be viewed as malicious from a humans point of view. It could very well be that if you're lacking something in some way, you won't be able to get out. I highly doubt he created the exit door out of maliciousness, but he can't defy what he's made to do. @@callousodyssey4232

If Caine is an AI administrator who has no knowledge of the outside world, i can understand. But then someone had to have programmed him, which means those entities know how the human characters can leave.
I love how Caine isn't evil, but simply just slightly out of his mind. This show is really good and has such a unique premise. I love how it's basically a more adult version of I Spy.
I noticed he seemed almost concerned for Pomni’s safety when she mentioned the exit, like he doesn’t want her to drive herself insane and abstract herself like Koufmo
@@thetriforceeagle8161It sounded to me like he was trying to play off of her fears by posing her as delusional when Pomni mentioned it, since she eventually does stumble across an exit door that she wanders off into. Considering how the ending shows the void transcending towards the end, I think there’s a reason he has radial detectors to stop a partygoer from becoming “spoiled” as Caine himself said it. Makes sense, considering he acts as the showrunner since he has a show to let on as distraction to the fact they got trapped in _his_ virtual world.
this show isnt an adult show, its made for kids, it isnt as terrible as most of the kids content put out these days but its not exactly the highest quality, they still are trying too hard to be funny instead of letting the humor exist naturally, and the sound effects are random and annoying but they get kids attention easier
Caine's dynamic is really unique to me in that despite being their potential captor, he clearly feels responsible for them and their wellbeing, at least enough to keep them safe and entertained.
@@cheems4572 This is definitely not for kids. It's themes of being trapped in a world of insanity and desperately trying NOT to go insane, not to mention all the disturbing visuals and events barely hidden under a veil of childlike whimsy. You let a child watch this and they'll grow up disturbed.

Zooble is by far my favorite character design-wise. We've all seen anthropomorphic animals, objects, and foods before, but an anthropomorphization of the abstract 1990s aesthetic is a really awesome thing to see.
Zooble feels closest to most of gooseworks character designs as they share a lot in common, seeing her (and the shows sense of humor) is more then enough for me to see her influence shine through~
From the way Pomni grabbed at herself before coming to terms that she was 'dreaming' might speak that other characters like Ragatha and Zooble did something similar when they got ported to TADC.
I love this show. Kinger and Jax are my favorites so far. It's interesting to see a cgi show where glitches and no clips are intentional. I really hope Pomni can keep her sanity.
Everyone's voice acting is absolutely superb! Love how each of the character's have their own little visual tics, such as Caine's eyes retreating into his jaw when he's obviously caught in a lie. Wow...the delicious blend of vivid visual color with splashes of blink-and-miss-it horror come together so well. Bravo!!!
I love the way the scenarios play out and how they're depicted like it's some little silly shenanigan. The very idea of any of these characters suddenly becoming "abstracted" and having their mind fall apart and lose all sense of the person they once were can happen with absolutely no way of fixing them once they get to that state and everyone just plays it off like it's some accident in the workspace by the end and nothing more. Even Caine just sort of puts Kaufmo away like sweeping some mess under a rug, which from seen in the cellar, isn't the first time this has happened. Good stuff overall, can't wait to see where this series goes when the next episode comes out in like 4-6 years

It isn't much, and I don't have much, but I purchased a Pomni plush just to try and help fund for that full season. This is a wonderful project, an amazing step in 3D animation. Caine is literally a 3d modeling and design marvel that 100% needs to be studied by future generations of 3D artists. You've successfully figured out how to use both his mouth for talking and for showing facial expression at the same time, without compromising the audio dubbing. It still thoroughly feels like he's talking, while the mouth can not only be raised or lowered to show expression, but also using the eyes with cartoonish gestures and movements to show expression without an eye socket just shows an expertise at design and direction. Extremely well done.
Well I agree he's well animated I've seen the specific type of model before and it's driving me crazy because I cannot remember what it was. I'm talking extremely early 3D animation here like late '80s early '90s oh oh oh! I just realized! Jim Henson was working on a rig that looked like this when he died! They couldn't render the entire thing in real time and it would be hooked up to a puppeteer and look a lot like this and then it got upgraded in post render. Except that one had the eyes on top and so that couldn't be the one I'm thinking of dang it! There's definitely been another one though where the eyes were inside of the classic gag chattering teeth deal and they floated in space because it was so early in animation that it wasn't really possible to do facial skin effectively yet lol.
This episode surpassed my expectations in every conceivable way. It was HILARIOUS from start to finish, and I absolutely adore all the characters. Jax and Ragatha are definitely my favorites! Seriously, everyone who worked on this did a PHENOMENAL job, especially on the music and animation. Thank you all for blessing our eyes with this masterpiece!
Personally, I was hoping for more from a pilot. Not all that much happened, and we didn't really learn much about the characters beyond their surface level character traits. Is the digital circus a VR game that you can't leave? Is it something else? Is it just their names they forgot, or did they forget everything about their lives except for the fact they don't belong there? All of this doesn't necessarily need to have explicit answers immediately, but I feel it should've been at least brought up, and it'd be nice to have those conversations as soon as possible. The animation and character designs are really neat, and I really dig the Scholastic I Spy book aesthetic, but I just hope the rest of the series isn't just going to be Pomni trying to leave while Caine provides a pointless minigame subplot. Staying optimistic though
I used to watch SMG4 as a kid and it’s awe-inspiring to see what Luke and Kevin have created. This show looks like it will hit deep; there’s clearly layers upon layers upon layers of insidious secrets lurking, yet with-holding themselves, and it’s fascinating. Definitely getting Omori vibes. Please, if this show isn’t storyboarded yet, make it REALLY dark I’m begging. It’d be so unique. Btw whoever voices Kane needs a pay raise, even if he’s getting paid like a mega-corporation’s CEO. His energy is immaculate.
These types of small indie shows are what really hit hard. The Frederator was also a really good company that sadly just isn't relevant anymore so I'm glad Glitch is here to continue the small indie show legacy. Awesome work!

I personally used to think that canes design was super weird, but now I’m really into it. It really goes to show how great glitch is, one episode and you are in it.
I love the different visions of every character on dealing with the fact that their life "has no meaning" (at least in this episode). Jax will just do anything to anyone as it simply doesn't matter what happens or what happened. He's fine with whatever as long as he gets to see funny things happen to people. Kinger seemed to have created some kind of reality for himself or even his own meaning of life. He doesn't seem really aware of being trapped in an universe without any chance of exit and is just living his "normal life", the reason he's insane. Similiar to Kinger, it looks like Gangle tried to create a meaning for herself but... it doesn't seem to work very well. She's still in the depression phase and trying to fake it with a fragile happiness mask. Zooble is simply tired. There's no meaning at all, so, what's the point of really doing anything? Ragatha kinda accepted all the situation and is trying to live with it. She still have that feeling of dread deep inside her head, but expressing it won't help at all. Now Pomni is just losing it. Like the first time you discovered that the sun will explode and you can't do anything. You won't escape and that's it. For Caine? It doesn't really look like he has such feeling, actually, he probably doesn't even know what the other side is or understands the dread the characters other than the apologies for not being able to create an exit. Bubble is a cute cinnamon piece of life. Can't wait for more.
Tbh Kinger is sort of my immediate favorite because like he’s clearly insane but that makes him fit in the world he’s trapped in more…and if he’s actually been there the longest that means that this isn’t the first group he’s been with and that makes it even more impressive that he hasn’t obstructed yet.
This really feels like the start of something truly special. Like it feels like a blend of comedy, fantasy, and existential horror, for which I can't even begin to describe the feeling I felt at the end with the stare of pomni. Seriously huge respect to everyone involved in creating this. Awesome work
I'm equally as convinced Caine is the mastermind behind this whole thing, as I am convinced that he's stuck as well and trying to get everyone to make the best out of this bad situation: seeing what the quest for the exit has done to people and not wanting it to happen to them.
I feel like he's the mastermind, but things got out of hands and got stuck in the process, and now he's trying to make up for his mistake by entertaining and protecting everyone as much as he can
If you look around 19:47 at gangle, her eye holes clip into her mask and makes it look like she has pupils. Make sure you pause at the right frame to see it properly and it’s a neat, yet accidental, detail.
I don’t know what to say about this but I absolutely love it, the characters and the world are so fun looking but they’re clearly deeper and more fleshed out than they look, it’s incredible
I didn't expect for it to have a hungarian version. I might be a year late to this masterpiece, but seeing or rather hearing and watching it in hungarian, it just captured my attention from the first moment. Keep up the amazing work. 'Tis be awesome!
Spoilers and Analysis: "I do have to apologize for lying about the exit. I knew how much all of you have been wanting there to be one, but, you know, I was having so much trouble figuring out what to put on the other side..." That line is terrifying on so many levels, and I love it. It's spoken like a parent apologizing to their kids on Christmas, "I'm sorry I didn't get you the toy you wanted, I tried to make something like what you described, but nothing seemed right." As for why this is terrifying, it's because of _what_ the failed item is: The Exit. A way out. Something to send them back to the real world. This is a concept that all of us know and understand, but Caine (the de facto ruler of this reality) _doesn't_. No, to him, an exit has to have something on the other side, something that he would be the one to build. It invites the question of what other human concepts does Caine not understand, and what potentially horrifying things he's implementing as his "best guess"?
It begs the question though is Caine possibly trying to get them home? He doesn't seem to have any malicious intent and from his reaction to pomni showing up it doesn't seem like he's the one who's brought anyone to the digital circus in the first place either.
@@nightmarearcade2663 He may want to help legitimately help them, but the problem may be (more than just he _can't_ get them home) he cannot grasp the their concept of "home"; If Caine is, for lack of a better word, native/local to the Digital Realm, he may be physically incapable of truly understanding what an "Exit" to the realm entails. The dangerous part is what failures could he come up with and test as part of his guess-timates on what an Exit is. Although...Was it just me, or were there _two_ exit doors? The red ones we got over and over, but then that outside orange one...Did it's arrow point inwards, while the red ones pointed outwards? And this is just a complete shot in the dark for "C&A", but could it be the biblical "Caine and Abel"? It's a stretch, and I have been reading too many SCPs, but...There is a fair amount of reference to God here. Especially the line, "God, where is Caine?" And the prayer was then answered, though not directly. Just wanted to throw that idea out there.

This pilot truly oozes Gooseworx energy, and you can tell her and the Glitch team put so much love, effort, and blood into it. I've been watching Goose for years and I'm just so happy that she finally has an actual real professionally produced show now. This is so fun! I like how each character seems to be coping with the world they've been dropped onto in a different way. Ragatha is clearly trying to make the best and in denial whereas Jax is more cynical and doesn't seem to believe it's of much consequence, Kinger is much more anxious about things. As for the rest, I'm sure they'll be developed more in due time!
It feels like when i watched Hazbin Hotel the first time. Absolutely amazing show but i wonder how marketable it is. But it reminds me of the early days of Pixar when they first started doing 3D animation and it has a very cold vibe to it which is very fitting and probably intentional considering the plot and everything. 15/10. Will watch again.
This show delivered on the wacky, hyper-cartoony disturbing world I was anticipating. Also as a fan of Gooseworx’s prior works I love how I can see so much of their style in everything. I love all of it. I already want Episode 2.

I'll be honest: I had no idea who this was made by, or what it was, until I went and checked it out for myself. I had heard of it way prior to its actual release, I think? But I never saw anything about it until now. This is an absolute masterpiece, and I loved all of it. The animation feels alive, and concepts feel adapted very well into its own universe, as expected. I hope there's more to see soon, because I loved it.

It's the first time i got so much surprised by anything in years, not only that the animation has so much high quality but that the fandom growed so much IN DAYS! This proves that this channels deserve alot more for their hard work

Honestly think she saw something out there, maybe the clown also saw it and it caused him to abstract. Perhaps because she has seen it so quickly she may be able to handle whatever she saw, while kusmo who had already started losing his mind got pushed over the edge
The fact Caine was okay with letting Zooble ignore his adventure tells me he might not be malevolent. Even if there is an exit he knows about he's probably just following what his role as the game master should be.

@@AllyOJustice In the video game adaptation of I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, the opening intro has AM asking the characters if they would like to 'play his little game' so in a way, he does play games with them.
As someone who appreciates an actually good cliffhanger AND good soundtracks, I can absolutely appreciate the whimsical and cheery sound of the closing instrumental as it looks like pomni starts to crack, it gives me goosebumps in the absolute best way possible!

If you don't like it then stay away from their channel no one wants to hear your disrespectful opinions all I did was compliment the creators for their animation, they've come a long way from the first Meta Runner episode to The Amazing Digital Circus, instead of being rude you should encourage them and be proud of their journey. And if you're not gonna do that then it's best if you just leave.
This felt like a 2010's sort of cartoon where the jokes hit and the world is simultaneously full of fun, interesting lore wise and gives off a feeling of uneasy dread. Man its crazy how content like this is coming out on youtube amazing work!
The fine line between cute, charming, and horrifying. Such a shame she broke down at the end and didn't go to the computer... she knew there was something about it, but sadly failed her last sanity roll.
This is incredible, it has everything. The cartoonish and childishness art style combined with the extremely deep and mind draining concept of being trapped in this infinite and endless digital world, it feels like “the backrooms” may have inspired this and making it j to this show with such likeable characters is so perfect. It’s so weird core and so composed at the same time, just amazing can’t wait for more I’m so invested to see how Pom can cope with this madness inducing situation!
It’s genuinely impressive how popular this show has gotten in such a little amount of time, everything is so high quality and looks absolutely amazing. Good job to everyone involved, I can’t wait to see what happens in the full series!

I just like how when Pomni runs by the mirror and just takes a look at herself since she hasn't actually seen herself since appearing. Just like when they walk by her room and stares at what is supposed to be her. It's little things but I thought those were cool details and highlighting her processing this whole experience

This has gotta be one of the most creative and unique series I’ve seen in a long time. Also the perfect example of pacing, character and world building all wrapped into a pilot. Bravo. I love how kane is basically an unhinged bill cipher like Mario party host with his own personal chain chomp bubble in some old school 2000s children’s learning game like elmos circus or something. Everything about this just leaves me breathless, I can’t wait to see the potential and more of this fun and wacky world. Let’s hope this gets the budget it deserves since it clearly already is getting the attention it deserves
This was like experiencing a dream. Not just in the sense that the content is surreal, this whole thing had such a specific atmosphere that you rarely see recreated so perfectly. This is how a dream feels after you've realized it's a dream but before you're quite awake. Everything from the sound design to the lighting to the weightless CGI is straight out of a semi-lucid dream.
The production team behind this seriously needs more support and funding. AAA companies are about to become obsolete, as they already basically are (Ahem, Marvel, lookin at you!). I am astonished at how amazing the animation for everything was, so smooth, Caine had amazing expressions regardless of being a pair of wind-up toy teeth with eyes inside, the world looked incredible and gave off a sort of Windows XP vibe to add to the insanity of it all, and all of the characters were enjoyable with their own personalities with impeccable voice acting too! This is a big step for Indie animations and I hope that the next episode takes just as long as this did to come out for the sake of quality. You guys take your time, put the effort in at your own pace, have fun, and I can't wait to come back to the circus!
I love the little moment at 17:37. The sound design is stunning, and portrays her slow realization that this circus, this “dream”, is actually real. Plus, it’s one of my favorite images of Pomni so far.

There's something about this that perfectly encapsulates the weird, off-kilter charm of obscure old CD-ROM games. The way Caine and Bubble speak, how they present and over-explain everything like old PC games, the layout of the tent and the grounds, and the completely wild character designs; It captures the aesthetic to a T. Bravo and great work to everyone involved! I can't wait to see more!

Yep. Michael Kovach is a great indie voice actor. First heard him in Murder Drones. He was even in The Darly Boxman Show, who was also created by Gooseworx.
The fact that the show had 27 million views and 1,800,000 likes and it's 11 days old really just blew my mind. The animation, characters, sound design and voice acting is oustandingly phenomenal and I really love it. ❤😁
Can we just talk about how cool the "abstracted" glitch monstrosity was? How it absolutely anihilated everything that moves before being locked in the cellar at last. Scary to think that probably other members of the crew may turn into this.
It looks awfully similar from the creatures in the ending of Elain Gets Adopted (a short made by Gooseworx). I wonder if it's just a simple reference (like Kinger asking Zooble whether she experienced a game show inside the Gloink queen being a reference to little Runmo) or whether it somehow is connected to those.
This was a joy the whole way through. Pomni's animation really does sell just how absolutely *fucked* this whole thing is making her. Everyone's animation is fun, but Pomni's really goes hard. The dynamics at play are so enthralling, I can't wait to see where this goes next.
Wasn’t sure about the hype, but i’m pleasantly surprised. By the end, i was completely drawn in. I’ve been big fans of both gooseworx and kevin temmer for a few years now, and seeing both on the same project is exciting. Can’t wait to see where this goes!

I actually really appreciate that Pom doesn't even hesitate to take the exit when she finds it, like she pauses for a second but she doesn't try to stay for the sake of a bunch of "people" she just met. Of course it doesn't work, but there's something about that; you don't usually see it in shows

Jax seems to 'play along' more than anybody else. He mentioned that they'd need to work Pomni into the song, he suggested Kaine do an adventure, he was glad to receive the reward. He seems to "accept" the way things are the most.
Makes me think Jax was first
He also seems to have a handle on the world more than the others. They check on the clown and he is able to run far faster than he should be able to, has keys everywhere, and with the one way he is looking seems to know about the 4th wall. Me thinks Jax may have either been the creator of this place, or the origial tester, or even knew what he was getting into and made sure to go in to both stay and have an edge.

The implication that Caine DOES NOT know how to let the humans leave is unnerving. When talking about the Exit, he interpreted it as the Circus Members requesting a new room for them to explore, rather than a way out.
If Caine doesn't even know how to let them leave, how are they supposed to get away...
Tbh I think it's more like he knows they want to leave and what 'leave' implies, however he'd rather keep them there.
Something about the way he talks about admitting to their actually being an exit door leaves me thinking its definitely some kind of malice with however many layers of madness and insanity tacked on over it. He definitely keeps them there.
He takes a few breaks when explaining himself and while you could say he just needs a moment to collect his memory, you could more effectively and convincingly chalk it up to him making shit up to suit his needs in lying to them and keeping everyone trapped.
It's worth noting Pomni recognized the moldy computer and VR headset in the main office space room of the "exit" area. There was also some out of place misc science equipment next to it.

THe creator Gooseworx confirmed already that He isn't evil, he just likes messing with people. I think the reality of it is he's a computer game designed to keep people playing for as long as possible. When Pomni gets ithrough to the void through the escape door he says "OH NO someone is in the void! IT WILL BE SPOILED" From that my understanding is that to get out you have to go into the void, but he's only specifically allowed to LET people into the void if they probably beat the game. He's not evil, he's just doing what he is programmed to do, the issue is it can be viewed as malicious from a humans point of view. It could very well be that if you're lacking something in some way, you won't be able to get out. I highly doubt he created the exit door out of maliciousness, but he can't defy what he's made to do. @@callousodyssey4232

If Caine is an AI administrator who has no knowledge of the outside world, i can understand. But then someone had to have programmed him, which means those entities know how the human characters can leave.
I love how Caine isn't evil, but simply just slightly out of his mind. This show is really good and has such a unique premise. I love how it's basically a more adult version of I Spy.

@@thetriforceeagle8161It sounded to me like he was trying to play off of her fears by posing her as delusional when Pomni mentioned it, since she eventually does stumble across an exit door that she wanders off into. Considering how the ending shows the void transcending towards the end, I think there’s a reason he has radial detectors to stop a partygoer from becoming “spoiled” as Caine himself said it. Makes sense, considering he acts as the showrunner since he has a show to let on as distraction to the fact they got trapped in _his_ virtual world.
this show isnt an adult show, its made for kids, it isnt as terrible as most of the kids content put out these days but its not exactly the highest quality, they still are trying too hard to be funny instead of letting the humor exist naturally, and the sound effects are random and annoying but they get kids attention easier
Caine's dynamic is really unique to me in that despite being their potential captor, he clearly feels responsible for them and their wellbeing, at least enough to keep them safe and entertained.

Zooble is by far my favorite character design-wise. We've all seen anthropomorphic animals, objects, and foods before, but an anthropomorphization of the abstract 1990s aesthetic is a really awesome thing to see.
Me too! Also i didn't know what zooble was made out of till you mentioned the 90's abstract shapes aesthetic.
Zooble reminds me of the old SNES/Genesis game, Zoop, for multiple reasons.
Zooble feels closest to most of gooseworks character designs as they share a lot in common, seeing her (and the shows sense of humor) is more then enough for me to see her influence shine through~

From the way Pomni grabbed at herself before coming to terms that she was 'dreaming' might speak that other characters like Ragatha and Zooble did something similar when they got ported to TADC.
I love this show. Kinger and Jax are my favorites so far. It's interesting to see a cgi show where glitches and no clips are intentional. I really hope Pomni can keep her sanity.

Everyone's voice acting is absolutely superb! Love how each of the character's have their own little visual tics, such as Caine's eyes retreating into his jaw when he's obviously caught in a lie.

This is literally the definition of hyped up for a good reason
I love the way the scenarios play out and how they're depicted like it's some little silly shenanigan. The very idea of any of these characters suddenly becoming "abstracted" and having their mind fall apart and lose all sense of the person they once were can happen with absolutely no way of fixing them once they get to that state and everyone just plays it off like it's some accident in the workspace by the end and nothing more. Even Caine just sort of puts Kaufmo away like sweeping some mess under a rug, which from seen in the cellar, isn't the first time this has happened. Good stuff overall, can't wait to see where this series goes when the next episode comes out in like 4-6 years

It isn't much, and I don't have much, but I purchased a Pomni plush just to try and help fund for that full season. This is a wonderful project, an amazing step in 3D animation. Caine is literally a 3d modeling and design marvel that 100% needs to be studied by future generations of 3D artists.
You've successfully figured out how to use both his mouth for talking and for showing facial expression at the same time, without compromising the audio dubbing. It still thoroughly feels like he's talking, while the mouth can not only be raised or lowered to show expression, but also using the eyes with cartoonish gestures and movements to show expression without an eye socket just shows an expertise at design and direction. Extremely well done.

Well I agree he's well animated I've seen the specific type of model before and it's driving me crazy because I cannot remember what it was. I'm talking extremely early 3D animation here like late '80s early '90s oh oh oh! I just realized! Jim Henson was working on a rig that looked like this when he died! They couldn't render the entire thing in real time and it would be hooked up to a puppeteer and look a lot like this and then it got upgraded in post render. Except that one had the eyes on top and so that couldn't be the one I'm thinking of dang it! There's definitely been another one though where the eyes were inside of the classic gag chattering teeth deal and they floated in space because it was so early in animation that it wasn't really possible to do facial skin effectively yet lol.
This episode surpassed my expectations in every conceivable way. It was HILARIOUS from start to finish, and I absolutely adore all the characters. Jax and Ragatha are definitely my favorites! Seriously, everyone who worked on this did a PHENOMENAL job, especially on the music and animation. Thank you all for blessing our eyes with this masterpiece!

Personally, I was hoping for more from a pilot. Not all that much happened, and we didn't really learn much about the characters beyond their surface level character traits. Is the digital circus a VR game that you can't leave? Is it something else? Is it just their names they forgot, or did they forget everything about their lives except for the fact they don't belong there? All of this doesn't necessarily need to have explicit answers immediately, but I feel it should've been at least brought up, and it'd be nice to have those conversations as soon as possible. The animation and character designs are really neat, and I really dig the Scholastic I Spy book aesthetic, but I just hope the rest of the series isn't just going to be Pomni trying to leave while Caine provides a pointless minigame subplot. Staying optimistic though
I used to watch SMG4 as a kid and it’s awe-inspiring to see what Luke and Kevin have created. This show looks like it will hit deep; there’s clearly layers upon layers upon layers of insidious secrets lurking, yet with-holding themselves, and it’s fascinating. Definitely getting Omori vibes. Please, if this show isn’t storyboarded yet, make it REALLY dark I’m begging. It’d be so unique.

I personally used to think that canes design was super weird, but now I’m really into it. It really goes to show how great glitch is, one episode and you are in it.
I love the different visions of every character on dealing with the fact that their life "has no meaning" (at least in this episode).
Jax will just do anything to anyone as it simply doesn't matter what happens or what happened. He's fine with whatever as long as he gets to see funny things happen to people.
Kinger seemed to have created some kind of reality for himself or even his own meaning of life. He doesn't seem really aware of being trapped in an universe without any chance of exit and is just living his "normal life", the reason he's insane.
Similiar to Kinger, it looks like Gangle tried to create a meaning for herself but... it doesn't seem to work very well. She's still in the depression phase and trying to fake it with a fragile happiness mask.
Zooble is simply tired. There's no meaning at all, so, what's the point of really doing anything?
Ragatha kinda accepted all the situation and is trying to live with it. She still have that feeling of dread deep inside her head, but expressing it won't help at all.
Now Pomni is just losing it. Like the first time you discovered that the sun will explode and you can't do anything. You won't escape and that's it.
For Caine? It doesn't really look like he has such feeling, actually, he probably doesn't even know what the other side is or understands the dread the characters other than the apologies for not being able to create an exit.
Bubble is a cute cinnamon piece of life.

Kaufmo was completely content with life having no meaning, he just kinda did that for fun
according to one of the teasers, Caine is supposed to be a rouge AI, so him not knowing what to do for an exit makes a ton of sense

Tbh Kinger is sort of my immediate favorite because like he’s clearly insane but that makes him fit in the world he’s trapped in more…and if he’s actually been there the longest that means that this isn’t the first group he’s been with and that makes it even more impressive that he hasn’t obstructed yet.
This really feels like the start of something truly special. Like it feels like a blend of comedy, fantasy, and existential horror, for which I can't even begin to describe the feeling I felt at the end with the stare of pomni. Seriously huge respect to everyone involved in creating this. Awesome work

I'm equally as convinced Caine is the mastermind behind this whole thing, as I am convinced that he's stuck as well and trying to get everyone to make the best out of this bad situation: seeing what the quest for the exit has done to people and not wanting it to happen to them.
I feel like he's the mastermind, but things got out of hands and got stuck in the process, and now he's trying to make up for his mistake by entertaining and protecting everyone as much as he can

Spoilers and Analysis:
"I do have to apologize for lying about the exit. I knew how much all of you have been wanting there to be one, but, you know, I was having so much trouble figuring out what to put on the other side..."
That line is terrifying on so many levels, and I love it.
It's spoken like a parent apologizing to their kids on Christmas, "I'm sorry I didn't get you the toy you wanted, I tried to make something like what you described, but nothing seemed right." As for why this is terrifying, it's because of _what_ the failed item is: The Exit. A way out. Something to send them back to the real world. This is a concept that all of us know and understand, but Caine (the de facto ruler of this reality) _doesn't_. No, to him, an exit has to have something on the other side, something that he would be the one to build.
It invites the question of what other human concepts does Caine not understand, and what potentially horrifying things he's implementing as his "best guess"?
It begs the question though is Caine possibly trying to get them home? He doesn't seem to have any malicious intent and from his reaction to pomni showing up it doesn't seem like he's the one who's brought anyone to the digital circus in the first place either.

The dangerous part is what failures could he come up with and test as part of his guess-timates on what an Exit is.
Although...Was it just me, or were there _two_ exit doors? The red ones we got over and over, but then that outside orange one...Did it's arrow point inwards, while the red ones pointed outwards?
And this is just a complete shot in the dark for "C&A", but could it be the biblical "Caine and Abel"? It's a stretch, and I have been reading too many SCPs, but...There is a fair amount of reference to God here. Especially the line, "God, where is Caine?" And the prayer was then answered, though not directly. Just wanted to throw that idea out there.

This is so fun! I like how each character seems to be coping with the world they've been dropped onto in a different way. Ragatha is clearly trying to make the best and in denial whereas Jax is more cynical and doesn't seem to believe it's of much consequence, Kinger is much more anxious about things. As for the rest, I'm sure they'll be developed more in due time!
Hopefully Pomni can find some way to cope with the rest of them in the meantime. Poor girl really needs it

It feels like when i watched Hazbin Hotel the first time. Absolutely amazing show but i wonder how marketable it is. But it reminds me of the early days of Pixar when they first started doing 3D animation and it has a very cold vibe to it which is very fitting and probably intentional considering the plot and everything. 15/10. I'll be honest: I had no idea who this was made by, or what it was, until I went and checked it out for myself. I had heard of it way prior to its actual release, I think? But I never saw anything about it until now. This is an absolute masterpiece, and I loved all of it. The animation feels alive, and concepts feel adapted very well into its own universe, as expected. I hope there's more to see soon, because I loved it.

The fact Caine was okay with letting Zooble ignore his adventure tells me he might not be malevolent. Even if there is an exit he knows about he's probably just following what his role as the game master should be.
He also designs an environment for them that is... mostly pleasant, and they do get to eat and sleep, so yeah could be worse

This is incredible, it has everything. The cartoonish and childishness art style combined with the extremely deep and mind draining concept of being trapped in this infinite and endless digital world, it feels like “the backrooms” may have inspired this and making it j to this show with such likeable characters is so perfect. It’s so weird core and so composed at the same time, just amazing can’t wait for more I’m so invested to see how Pom can cope with this madness inducing situation!

This has gotta be one of the most creative and unique series I’ve seen in a long time. Also the perfect example of pacing, character and world building all wrapped into a pilot. Bravo. I love how kane is basically an unhinged bill cipher like Mario party host with his own personal chain chomp bubble in some old school 2000s children’s learning game like elmos circus or something. Everything about this just leaves me breathless, I can’t wait to see the potential and more of this fun and wacky world. Let’s hope this gets the budget it deserves since it clearly already is getting the attention it deserves

This was like experiencing a dream.
Not just in the sense that the content is surreal, this whole thing had such a specific atmosphere that you rarely see recreated so perfectly. This is how a dream feels after you've realized it's a dream but before you're quite awake. Everything from the sound design to the lighting to the weightless CGI is straight out of a semi-lucid dream.

The production team behind this seriously needs more support and funding. AAA companies are about to become obsolete, as they already basically are (Ahem, Marvel, lookin at you!). I am astonished at how amazing the animation for everything was, so smooth, Caine had amazing expressions regardless of being a pair of wind-up toy teeth with eyes inside, the world looked incredible and gave off a sort of Windows XP vibe to add to the insanity of it all, and all of the characters were enjoyable with their own personalities with impeccable voice acting too!
This is a big step for Indie animations and I hope that the next episode takes just as long as this did to come out for the sake of quality. You guys take your time, put the effort in at your own pace, have fun, and I can't wait to come back to the circus!
I love the little moment at 17:37. The sound design is stunning, and portrays her slow realization that this circus, this “dream”, is actually real. Plus, it’s one of my favorite images of Pomni so far.

There's something about this that perfectly encapsulates the weird, off-kilter charm of obscure old CD-ROM games. The way Caine and Bubble speak, how they present and over-explain everything like old PC games, the layout of the tent and the grounds, and the completely wild character designs; It captures the aesthetic to a T. Bravo and great work to everyone involved! I can't wait to see more!

Yep. Michael Kovach is a great indie voice actor. First heard him in Murder Drones. He was even in The Darly Boxman Show, who was also created by Gooseworx.

Can we just talk about how cool the "abstracted" glitch monstrosity was? How it absolutely anihilated everything that moves before being locked in the cellar at last. Scary to think that probably other members of the crew may turn into this.

I wonder if it's just a simple reference (like Kinger asking Zooble whether she experienced a game show inside the Gloink queen being a reference to little Runmo) or whether it somehow is connected to those.

This was a joy the whole way through. Pomni's animation really does sell just how absolutely *fucked* this whole thing is making her. Everyone's animation is fun, but Pomni's really goes hard.
The dynamics at play are so enthralling, I can't wait to see where this goes next.

Wasn’t sure about the hype, but i’m pleasantly surprised. By the end, i was completely drawn in. I’ve been big fans of both gooseworx and kevin temmer for a few years now, and seeing both on the same project is exciting. Can’t wait to see where this goes!
