Good video ; and so true. As good as friends may be in the here and now ; they can often serve as a hindrance to pursuing your individual interests. I don't mind going out with a few close friends or relatives here and there ; but after that.... I need that downtime or "me" time to recharge. I find social events and gatherings to be quiet draining at times. In other words ; I value having time to myself(alone time). It can actually be quite a liberating experience once you adjust to it. No one to nag you, no one always telling you what to do, no drama, no obnoxiousness, and no dealing with people's bullshit. Total peace of mind ; and living on your own terms. I could go on and on. I don't mind having small company around ; so long as that company is someone who's genuinely close to me, and is someone I genuinely care about. Friends come and go throughout life ; so I think the best anyone can do is learn to enjoy themselves and their own company first and foremost. I fully acknowledge that this won't sound appealing to everyone(especially extroverts) ; but it works for me. :)
I´m in the exact same situation. I´m a writer. I´m super introverted and I don´t like going out so its a choice. But people dont understand what Im going through, how I have NO LIFE and NO FRIENDS, they think im depressed or something but actually I am fine.
Thank you so much for making this video. People need to stop putting a negative connotation behind the word "loner". We all need to take care of ourselves first 😘💖💯💯
Yooooo This video is EVERYTHING! Exactly my situation a few months ago.... And they couldn't accept me working on my craft... "I'm not around enough" anymore. SMH
Kevin Chinn I noticed once you start focusing on yourself and working on your craft others will start gravitating towards you that will end up helping you in someway or another.
Trent Legge I agree with what you are saying. Casual Friends can be like a quick fix. True Friends, the ones you can have that emotional bonding with and have your best interests at heart are so hard to find. I have no friends but it is probably better to be a loner trying to better yourself than to be around casual friends who just want to hang out and who aren't interested in your help inner feelings and struggles.
FBI You’re not alone, I myself feel like dying every other week. I am starting to understand that it’s not worth taking your life because it’s something you can’t undo. I try a lot of new things to feel alive. Like surfing, starting a random conversation with a stranger, anything that takes me out of the comfort zone. We are all going to die one day, so let’s not be in a rush to get there since it’s happening no matter what.
Rather being a loner than hanging out with fake friends
That's how I feel.
