I got to meet JD briefly as a kid, The Stamps were taking a break , and I was waiting my turn in the rest room, JD, walked out and I looked up at him.in amazement, he smiled and patted me on the head,
I met J.D. before E and afterwards. The first time as I was waiting in line for him, my bass eventually turned into a nervous tenor. I asked him if we could have a well-off. I got a funny reply.
The Lighthouse is one of my favorite gospel songs. The first time I heard it was when Brother Maness sang it in Southern California. Thank you for the gift of this song today.Thank you for posting this hickoryrose1.May you have a blessed day!
Quatro espíritos enviados a Terra. O encontro de vcs é magnífico. Como foi especial vcs se reunirem com um outro eleito Elvis Presley. Grande a conexão! Isto é espiritual, somente os espirituais percebem
Maybe Ed was not available, remember that JD Sumner and The stamps quartet members changed over the years, some name were almost unheard of but these 4 were quite prominent during Elvis shows or recording, Donny Sumner actually quit in 1974 to seek help for drug addiction, .. After Elvis passed and they had Elvis in Concert world tour they did rotate group members, Richard Sterban who also quit to joined The Oak Ridge Boys, making appearance during the 30th Anniversary in Memphis, I was surprised he was there, so... I hope that helps.
I met Donnie Summer at a concert in West Palm Beach FL. & he came off stage & shook my hand. What a great voice.

Great from a historical viewpoint, but just a shadow of what was. Ravages of old age gets us all.
