    EVERY Country has immigration laws. You can’t just walk into any country you want and instantly be granted the same benefits as citizens and legal immigrants. It doesn’t work that way in Canada, USA or any other country for that matter.

      Go figure that Canadian immigration authorities are highly suspect of anyone who has a pending "deportation order" in the U.S. At any rate, no "non-violent alien" is going to get deported in Biden's America. These undocumented people in Canada may as well come to the U.S. and live in a city like Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, or Los Angeles. Very few non-violent aliens in these cities get deported back to their home countries.

When the country you are trying to get into legally speaks English, then you had better learn English. After fifteen years in the States, he still doesn't speak English. That is a very stupid move. Doing it illegally, and then not even learning the language of the Countries that he tries to sneak into, claiming asylum after living in the States for fifteen years. WTF. And being in Buffalo, what was he running from if he was in the States??? A very dishonest person in my opinion.

  • @VI5H

    I have zero issues with immigrants seeking a better life in another country, being one myself, but a few things about some immigrants baffle me always. How do people expect to be welcomed and accepted by the folks of another country when they don't even bother to learn the language. This guys been in the US for 15 years and can't speak any English? Its not the worse case , I've seen people live far longer 30 or 40 years in countries like the UK where I'm from and they cannot speak a word of English because they choose to live in a self imposed microcosm of the country they came from.
    They have to understand that it's very insulting to native people and citizens of a country that you want to be treated as a citizen yourself but won't make efforts to adapt to the language and cultures of the country you have chosen to live in, I cannot think of a better way to ostracize yourself than failing to learn the language.
    It would be far easier to have sympathy for your cause if you are able to show that you have integrated and intend to be a citizen of that country 100% and the easiest way is to be able to communicate your cause yourself.

    • @VI5H

      D Chase I don't want to minimize how difficult it is to learn a new language , I know a lot of native English people in the UK who can barely speak their first language let alone pass an English exam . Not to mention if illegals spend a lot of time working odd hours for very little money so finding time and the funds to take language lessons isn't easy either. However in this modern times there are free ways online to learn many things and I think there's far less excuses to not learn the host countrys language at the very least.
      Personally I've only worked in countries that speak English but if I had to go to a country where they speak a different language for work , I couldn't fathom not learning the language.

Trudeau was trying to make himself look like some great humanitarian and at the same time falsely paint Trump as a racist for banning immigration from 8 Muslim countries. When Trudeau invited the Muslims that the US rejected, the illegal latinos thought he was inviting them too, and there was also a story floating around that if immigrants went to Canada, Trudeau would give them 50 thousand dollars per year and a free home to live in.

      @@mexica8759 migration and immigration are not the same. Immigration is a form of migration where you move to another estabished nation. The nation is not the land, it's the group of people with a government they agreed on, and a territory they'd be willing to die for. Immigration would mean that you joined that group of people, whatever land they occupy is irrelevant. Whites migrated by conquering the land, not by joining others. Then the white settlers, with the help of the tribal indians, revolted and established their own country. If whites are immigrants just as you have stated then there would be no USA today and the whites would be running around the land yelling alululululululululu with feathers on their head. I'm not racist (hell, I come from two ethnic backgrounds) but if migrants from Arab states want to force me to Sharia so they can be happy, or Latinos forcing my white friends to speak Spanish because they feel offended of what they can't understand (it happens), or anything for that matter, I'm going to support fully the deportation of these people that want to bend the local folk to their will. No, we are an actual country with stricter immigration laws than the US. Yes, we love diversity. Yes, it is our strength. But that doesn’t mean everyone is fair game. I’m not even specifically referring to this man here. All so-called refugees who already had made it to the US. If you were a refugee in the US and then come to Canada, OF COURSE we’re not gonna automatically grant you refugee status. Jesus Christ.

    This man and his family were free of the treat of violence in El Salvador when they left and moved to Mexico. They could have reasonably applied for asylum there & then. Coming to the US and then Canada afterward is not about asylum as they were out of threat of El Salvador's violence in Mexico earlier on their journey. Leaving Mexico makes them mere economic migrants. They come this far north for $$$, a far less "noble" reason than fear of harm in the land they just left [Mexico] much as Syrian migrants were safe in Turkey but journeyed to Germany, Sweden, etc., solely for greater material gains. It's time to call a spade a shovel.

There's literally no point going this far, but obviously you'd want to go the furthest away from being hounded by the cartel. And, even when you do make it to a relatively "safe" Mexico, you never know when the guys can just barge in and end your family right on the spot. That's how cartels work. They're bloodhounds.

    Interesting that the would-be Canadians in this video did not appear to speak English or French with any level of fluency. If you were planning to leave your home and establish yourself in Central or South America, you'd learn Spanish or Portuguese to an intermediate level so that you could communicate/understand clearly, land and advance in a job, have the ability to navigate your geography and make informed decisions. (Are you comfortable that this gentleman as depicted in this video would accurately understand his choices should he be allowed to cast a ballot in the next election?). Several of my ESL scholars have learned enough to function very nicely on their own in less than 2 years. It is not an impossible task, but it is part of the deal with immigration and it is essential.

      What is wrong with all of you. Are you all really this uneducated and this self-absorbed and self-important. Central Americans are not all related to each other. It is full of individual countries, not states, or provinces. Most of those countries don't get along with each other at all. Yes, Central America has many lovely, civilized, safe places all of which you as a Canadian or I as an American could move around in to our hearts content. We have the luxury of settling anywhere we want, not because we made better decisions or worked harder for it. We have that luxury because we were born Canadian or American. He and his family do not have the ability to traipse around from country to country in Central America and I guarantee you they would NEVER be allowed to live in the places you are speaking of. Why? Because those places are carefully constructed fantasy lands made for Canadians and Americans to feel adventurous living in Central America while never having to actually see how most of Central America lives. They are brutal about making sure the fantasy is never tarnished by allowing poor locals to wander through the tropical paradise scene the rich white tourists pay so much money for. He is from El Salvador. The only place his family is allowed to return to is El Salvador. Mexico has empathy, and does everything they can to help a select number of the countries below them. El Salvador is not one of them. Mexico has less to give than our countries and still manages to give selflessly. However thanks to the gangs and violence in El Salvador which is exactly what this man is running from, Mexico will not help them. Canada and America have much more to give and could do so with much less risk than Mexico. For some reason though it seems the more wealthy and secure the people the less empathy and compassion. I realize I am ranting to a bunch of self-righteous conservatives who view empathy as a mental deficit, so I will leave you to continue congratulating each other on what successful, rational, and clearly superior people you are. All I ask is that you consider if you are serving any purpose at all by doing so in the comments section of a video about someone who has nothing. Are there not capitalist forums you could use for this purpose. That would be preferable than coming on here to kick dirt on the poor and tell them how much they screwed up. If you can't or won't help why are you commenting at all. He doesn't need all of your judgements, they serve no useful purpose.

      I think you simply didn't listen carefully. They talked about what qualifies one to become a refugee, saying that he'd not been in his country for a long time (he lived in the U.S. prior) and therefore it is hard to prove that he personally would be at risk if he returned to his home country.

    • @kaigung7846
      @kaigung7846 8 месяцев назад

      Ask any Immigration Officer/lawyer/consultant, and they will tell you that risk in a refugee case by definition is forward looking and personal. A ref claim fails if you can't prove that. And again, my point is (correct me if I'm wrong), they did not comment on why his claim was refused. Trudeau himself made a statement that many Mexican ref claims were not legit. That's says a lot. @@mary_puffin
