Adam Crapser: Adoption to Deportation to living in Mexico

- Опубликовано: 12 сен 2024
- Adam Crapser, a Korean adoptee, tells his story of migration, adoption, incarceration, deportation, and redemption. Having left Korea as a three year old and being ping-ponged from family to family, Adam had a tough start. He took advantage of what life gave him and survived whether it be on the streets, prison, or deported to a foreign land, he did what he had to do. Now he is thriving and trying to make sure that future generations don't have to go through what he did.
Adam, if you are watching this, I want you to know there are many ppl stand by you. You shouldn’t have been treated this way. What a broken system we have! I am so sorry for what you are going through. Stay strong ❤️🫡
Thank You Very Much for your words of encouragement, and care. 🫶🏻
@@adamshin1571I’m sure more people than you know are behind you. Where can we find updates? What can people do? Do petitions make a difference?? I’m sure you have a huge number of supporters you aren’t even aware of, me included! I don’t see how anyone can see your story and not support. The haters are sad and ignorant. These people complaining and criticizing have never been tested. They say virtue untested is no virtue at all. At least you know what you’re really made of.
Stay strong!!!! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼you are nothing short of amazing.
Adam plight is becoming a rallying call for forced migrants everywhere
Adam - there is Adoptee Citizenship Act of 2024, surely thanks to you and your experience paved way for others to not have to prove their place in the US as adoptees. Hope you are free to call home to a place you feel true belonging. 🙏🙏🙏
Thank You, my good friends the original architect’s of this important piece of legislation have worked tirelessly since i was first removed, to try and correct the previously flawed law called the child citizenship act, to close the erroneous loophole, not only for myself, but for the many other people similarly situated. @@adamshin1571hi Adam! This is off topic but the dogs in your profile pic are super cute.
Adam. I love your humbleness and honesty. I appreciate you sharing your story with us to learn how the system and your adopted parents failed you. Nevertheless, More power to you for staying positive and inspiring others. Also, thank you to the Mexican authorities for taking care of you. You are a wonderful addition to Mexico🙏🏼 It’s almost like Americans have lost their souls 😢
The United States 'of' America has been a corporatocracy for many years now/the proverbial neo-liberal model that has been the status quo since the late 70's/early 80's. Aside from that, the USA has always been a cut throat vicious nation that is reflected in many societal areas; starting from the pyramidal system at the top. A lot of good people as well despite all of the corruption.
He still feels American. He kept his white name when he could have gone back to his korean name. He looked for a home that was close to American culture. He doesn't want his korean identity. I am surprised that his choice of females was asian.
Lost their souls and replaced it for capitalism.
Thank You for your empathy, and understanding. Me moving to mexico is the same as if you chose to. The mexican authorities have nothing to do with my residency. As a korean, i have a clean record, and can visit/reside/immigrate the same as anyone else who meets the required criteria. 🙏🏼
Thank you for updating on Adam's story. It is upsetting to learn of what happened to him and other adoptees. The American government needs to do right by foreign adoptees.
he did also BnE his adoptive parents house// news flash they were helping him// then they got robbed
he could have tried getting a few jobs, instead of learning to steal cars off working people. he better not act like a gangster in Mexico or he will get dusted for sounding white! ole ole!
@@abbe1abbe156 and a lot of other things. Adam's story is just the tip of the iceberg.

It’s absolutely heartbreaking to hear all the injustices that were done to this intelligent and inspirational man since he’s been three years old. He is. I hope I can get another video of his business hustle. This guy is resourceful.
Even as a retired prison guard, this guy comes across as a pretty good guy!
FYI people! Not all inmates are bad people. Actually, a huge majority are not. At least not in the 5 different level prisons I worked in, from the county intake prison, to the female prison to maximum security/Death Row prisons. They are just like everyone else who, failed to keep their emotions in check and acted on them. 🤷♂️
And not all prison guards are bad people. There is really a thin line to getting into violent illicit activities and state sanctioned violence. In both cases, people are sacrificing their safety to survive and create an imagined community with morals and values of who is good and who is bad.
I'm glad you're OK Adam. I've been wondering about you ever since I first saw your story. I hope your wife, your kids and yourself a very long, happy, fulfilled, healthy and abundant life.

Adversity can either make you or break you. You know your worth and though you have made some choices that didn't work out, you kept at it to make your life better. I live here in Toronto Canada 🇨🇦 and it’s the same thing like the USA . They have kids that were adopted and when they grow up somehow they were became Canadian citizens, get into trouble and get deported back to the country that they were born. Some of them were babies when they came over here and now they’re being send back home to a home they don’t know, a language they don’t know and customs. I find it kind of cold and cruel just to dump people into a country that doesn’t care or want them back. Good luck hopefully you will find what you are looking for.

My story. Both my grandfathers were illegal aliens but I was born and raised in the United States. My grandmother was full blooded Native. So, I don't like the white bs either. My people were marched on the Trail of Tears and forced on to reservations even though this is our land. On the other side of my family, my great grandmother was Roma. @@Rick68976 I know this. My grandmother was full blooded Native American. My father taught me the history of the Native people and he worked as an environmentalist knowing the Native way of living in harmony with nature. I now know that the colonizers went around the world conquering and subduing everyone they could. I also know that they destroyed the world with their evil natures. They lie, steal and cheat. We are coming into the sixth mass extinction because of them. Yet, they still lie about climate catastrophe. Their greed and selfishness has murdered many people. I can even tell you that I am writing a book about this. I have discovered that they are all people with personality disorders--narcisscistic, sociopathic or psychopathic. Serial killers are psychopaths. So, are many CEOs, politicians and religious leaders who manipulate others for their own gain. I have difficulty sleeping because I am completely aware of all of this. They got in trouble then were deported to a foreign land where they didn't know the language, had no family, and no affiliation. It blows me away that our gvt does this to people. Where in Mexico is he living?
I don’t understand why he
Never got citizenship?
He was adopted as a child and brought to the USA, therefore he should have been granted citizenship upon arrival in the country or few days afterwards
His foster parents never filled out the paper work.
Pleaz read about the adoptee citizen act- we have been trying to get this passed since i forst got deported. @lost.seoulz
Look up the adoptee citizen act- my friends have tried to pass this piece of legislation for many years. After 1996 alot of immigration policy changed. You would be surprised as to who fits the criteria for removal these dayz. Even naturalized citizens are being deported. Google🫡
He's not alone. A lot of adoptive parents fail to follow through and apply for the child's citizenship, and take them through the process. They're flakes, and shouldn't have been allowed to adopt.

Crossing could result in hard prison time. Adam was lucky to have the support to wait out his deportation. Most deportees don't have those resources. Crossing unauthorized into the US has more to with desperation than being "law abiding".

You missed the part where i have a ten year ban. Comprehension is not your strong suit. Do not care what you think. You are a question mark within this conversation. He said gangsta- ha you wouldn’t last a day little boi🤫
This guy is warrior
Such a broken system.
Heard his story years ago…. Dang still not in a good place
He is in a good place.
He good bro. He in Mexico way closer to the US than Korea. And easier to pass back n forth. Spanish easier to learn and people speak way more English in Mexico. And depending on where he is tons of Americans live in Mexico too.
@@bmoneyy Korea is way better than those places. This dude still wants to live the thug life 🤣
@@bmoneyyPassing is not like you used to see in the movies and tv shows. If you get caught without trying to pay a catel you will be disappeared. Nobody is allowed to cross freely anymore.
What happened to the sister?
Mexico is becoming more "rich", and most people who are crossing into the U S. Illegally are from Central & S. America and everywhere esle.. as they are being deported into Mexico, these people are staying there instead.
Where my grandma is from it’s always been rich, it really depends what part of Mexico but I agree that Mexico is getting better financially all over!
True, Mexico is becoming a receiving country and more migrants are deciding to stay in Mexico. We still have a lot of people escaping violence from certain states.
Adam write your biography and a movie. All that failed you should be sued 😢
Thank You for your empathy, and understanding. It is in the workz😊
can't wait
this is tragic
He has no idea why he was deported?
Many people are deported for low level offences. In the case of Adam, he did not realize that his preteen charges would result in future deportation as an adult. The crimmigration system in the US is difficult to understand for academics and lawyers. Most people take issues such as nationality for granted. Adam grew up in the U.S. and was raised an American. He assumed he was American and not deportable.
Another one that lacks basic comprehension, maybe clean out your ears friend. Have a good one🫡
Where in Mexico?
He was in Querétaro when I interviewed him
I live 45 minutes away in celaya I'm also deported would like to meet him
Korea is a way better place then the US now, I wish I could live in Korea.
He's not the type to fit in Korea...Korea is great if you're clean cut
Really? So go, just go! You can do it...unless you are just a couch troll.
South Korea is very strict. With his felonies I doubt that they would take him back.
Korea is nice to visit, but it’s hard to be a citizen and live there.
@@midlifecrisis7888 Low crime, very clean, super cheap but advanced medical care, great transportation system, fast internet
The only barriers are cultural.
20:07 that’s what la raza is about, your raza vato
There are a lot of stories of people finding happiness here in Mexico after striving for economic success in the U.S. and feeling empty and miserable. There is something magical about Latin America.
Muchisimo gracias compa🫡🇲🇽
