    Thanks for this larry, looks like the last method is the best on this vid. I tried method 2 but didn't have a catch around botany bay. What would you recommend?

    • @larryoutdoors
      @larryoutdoors  Год назад +1

      Thank you mate! I thought it would depend on the situation of the spot, normally all the methods should work, and also you could try all the techniques in one spot if you like. You didn't catch any fish at botany bay not because of the technique, just because it's not the right time, or right place you cast, fish not there. You are sure to catch fish if you are familiar with this spot, just try all the time, morning , afternoon, and evening, also, high tide, low tide. Someone could catch fish at there because they are familiar with this spot, or they are very lucky fishing there at the right time and right location. My Catching Fish = 80% Luck + 15%knowledge + 5% techniques . Gook Luck Next Time Mate! 👍👍👍

    • @larryoutdoors
      @larryoutdoors  2 месяца назад

      Hi Mate, to my opinion , it's a little hard inside of harbour when jigging in winter, except you find the school bait , and fish bust on topwater sometimes, so better go outside, or more deeper water, I got some today in Tailors bay and Clifton garden. you could try.💪💪💪💪

    very helpful. I''m new to jigging. I only have surf rods (pen prevail, daiwa crossfire) and ugly stick and a daiwa revros. Will anyone of those work?

    • @larryoutdoors
      @larryoutdoors  2 года назад +1

      Thank you Allan! 🙏 🙏 🙏 Surf rod is ok, but not easy just a little heavy, You could use it temporarily if you are strong enough. 😂 lure fishing always need casting and jigging. So better use jigging rods, you could go to some tackle shop inquire about the fishing gear, they should have more choices. I have 2 ugly stick rods, only using when kayak, toooo short if shore jigging, anyway, Good Luck mate! 🙏

    • @larryoutdoors
      @larryoutdoors  Год назад

      Yes Mate, you use shore jigging if the water is deep enough , deeper the water, heavier the jigs.

      Hi Josh, I would use sugar pen about 10g for the earlier morning and evening chasing tailor, salmon, even kingfish, and light soft plastic or soft VIB for other time for the bream and trevally.Good luck mate!

      @@larryoutdoors Thanks for your response!
      I'm just starting fishing, looking at your videos it looks like you're leading an amazing life in the outdoors. I want to replicate something like this too, exploring fishing camping - and eating some catches (sea bass, bream, bonito, mackeral).
      I had just decided to copy your exact set-up when I saw your response. May I ask, if you were going to buy a new Rod and Reel today, what would you pick?
      I was set on the Daiwa New Legalis 290 Cm 28-84 Gr, but its extra heavy - maybe too much.
      When I saw your video I decided to get a spinning rod instead since you have a lot of success, it looks like spinning rods can do fast and slow jigging. But if you buy a jigging rod it seems they are either fast or slow.
      Thanks in advance
      🙏

      @@seyahatt6843 Thank you mate! Actually I am not focus on the fishing rod and reel nowadays , cause I have enough fishing gear on hand, 😂 I like use spin rod when shore fishing, and bait caster rod when Kayak fishing, cause spin rod and reel could cast further and no any trouble. bait caster rod and reel could act quickly and precisely, anyway, you would come to be familiar with any of them if you use many times, all fine. May You Succeed!

    • @larryoutdoors
      @larryoutdoors  8 месяцев назад

      Yes you can, and jigs maybe around 5-20g, like a light shore jigging, but don't use them if there have many structures or big fish like kingfish around, otherwise , pretty hard to land the big fish.
