    Slight correction tho- abs are NOT MADE in the kitchen. They’re REVEALED in the kitchen. They’re muscles and need to be worked like any other muscle! Absolutely love your enthusiasm and perspective, dead on!!🙌🏼🔥

      Yeees I absolutely agree and I don’t know if you watched till the part where I say exactly that 🥰❤️ Thank you so much for being here, I am sending you a massive hug filled with gratitude!!

      Not entirely correct…I’ve seen drug addicts living on the street with abs. Simply almost no fat. Think they do abs work? Still, largely correct I think and of course this is 2024 (or really the 2020”s); traps are the new abs and have been for a while.

      You don't need to build abs to show abs. Everyone has abs, they are just covered. Some of the best abs ever shown were never trained at all, not specifically. Abs are both genetic and diet, we all have abs , seeing them depends on if you have genetics for thin skin and less fat cells in that area or if you duet down and cut enough fluids to show them. Can you grow then and develop them to make them nore pronounced, yes , but seeing them and showing them has absolutely nothing to do with training them. That is a huge mistake in fitness in modern influences, training abs has nothing to do with showing abs. Having nore developed abs looks great and is healthy for the body as a whole, but anyone can diet down and have a six pack, because you dint build a six pack, your born with one.

    • @beentheredonethat5908
      @beentheredonethat5908 7 месяцев назад

      @@pernillasworldPlease don't enforce that, it's not true! Anyone who knows human anatomy and bodybuilding knows having abs is about genes , how many fat cells each person carries in that area, hiw thick your skin is, and what you eat, we all have abs. A six pack isn't built, it can be developed and made stronger, but we all have a six pack , its just if we can see it or not, it being strong or developed isn't a factor to much besides giving a greater support for bigger lifts and endurance at the core. Building large abs to make it easier is actually something bodybuilding learned NOT to do in the 90s when that was all the rage. Now it's made stronger, matured and having higher core stability.
      Should you train your abs, absolutely! Are they a ket staple to health and safety of a lifter well into older ages, YES. Does working your abs out give you a six pack , nope, if two people diet down and dehydrated, they would both have abs, how those abs look is about genetics not training, how abs look and how they function are two different issues altogether.
      Although I 100 percent push the importance of abs and core training , it's probably the most important training you can do, but we should all know the difference between seeing abs and working them out. Some of the best looking abs I've ever seen were on people who didn't workout at all, but had fast paced lives and great genes and some of the worst were on professional lifters who had poor genetics in that area and had to diet like crazy to get them visible.

    To get body fat below 23% is incredibly unhealthy for the body, and you need that in order to see the abdominal muscles so clearly. When I had that, I didn't get my period at all and I constantly felt sick. And I lost my breasts; they became so small from losing weight that I constantly thought about getting breast implants, something I had never thought about before. Fortunately, I eventually realized how bad all of this was for me.

      Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm want abs well, I'm down to about 28% body fat. From other videos on RUclips, it seems some women are lot more unhealthy at a lower body fat % than other women. Some lose their period at a higher body fat % than other women. Everyone is not meant to be as skinny. We all have different genetics

    I used to have flat, defined abs. I was in my late 30's as a mother of 2 kids and a professional aerial dancer. I would still have days where I couldn't see definition, especially in my lower abs, because of GI issues. I'm at a healthy weight and eat very healthy but it's a two-edged sword for me. If I eat a ton of veggies, I will bloat massively because I can't process them. Digestive enzymes help some, but I'm still bloated. If I eat chicken nuggets and french fries for a couple of days, my stomach goes completely flat. So I know it's bloat and not weight gain, but is still so frustrating. I also struggle to increase my protein since I can't have dairy and can't eat beef. I have so many food allergies and celiac and sensitivities that it gets pretty difficult to eat prepackaged protein bites or increase protein. I can't even eat legumes to help with protein intake. Super frustrating.
    The other thing is that I can't do aerial anymore, but I love to workout. I'm trying to gain some of my abs back that I used to have (now in my early 40's) but any floor based ab workouts tend to workout my neck muscles instead of my abs. I did a 30-minute weighted ab workout yesterday (only abs and nothing else except a cardio/mobility warm-up and stretching cool-down) and I checked during the exercises to make sure I was engaging my abs. Today, I only have a sore neck and massive headache. My abs don't hurt at all. I don't do classic crunches because of this long-time issue. I did mermaid v-ups, v-ups, variations of planks, reverse crunches, etc. and nothing. I don't know what I'm doing wrong if I can feel the engagement of my abs during these exercises but not feeling it the next day even if I worked out to failure. I don't know what else to do. I've always had abs from a young age due to the water sports I competed in that worked abs and created definition as a kid. I don't know how to push to failure to define them anymore. Any tips for my issue? I literally destroyed my shoulder and it never healed after surgery to pre-injury level so I'll never do aerial again, sadly. I just want my defined muscular body back in other ways. I love to workout but I'd like to see some improvement, also.

    A woman should not have defined abs. Instead she should have a firm, smooth but rounded abdomen with perhaps the slightest division down the middle, but she should have a nice, evenly distributed layer of fat at least a half inch thick all over, making her curvaceous, feminine and soft, not hard, chiseled and sinewy.
