    In a country this size, it cracks me up that people think that these are too big. It’s not for you ? Fine, move along. City dwellers need to realise that this country is way bigger than your three nearest suburbs.

    Highway cruising for mine is around 10-11L/100km. I Actually got it into the 9s for a trip to Brisbane once. Around town its closer to 15 which is not bad for a truck this big.

    1500's aren't that big, short bed and single rear wheel. It's when you get to dual cab, long bed duallies that parking becomes tricky, but even then no big deal really you get used to it

    Enjoyed the video. I always find it funny when someone talks about how big these trucks are and how hard they are to drive and park. 'Merica! 🤣 It's just normal for us. However, the price never seems to be normal. These full size trucks are almost unattainable for us regular folks anymore. The ZR2 is a pure off road vehicle. If you want to haul/tow, but still need 4wd, buy the Z71 or Trailboss. Both have higher capacities than the ZR2. Anyway, good content. 😉

      95. I have used 91 (I am in NZ). It didn’t make a noticeable difference to be fair. I understand the diesel mentality, but after owning Nissan patrols, Landcruisers, Hilux Amarok and Ranger, I now have a Chev of towing and a Gladiator for off-roading. I think the vehicles we have traditionally used here like the hilux are pretty average to be honest. Not good on gas or tech and super short wheelbases that make them not that good on the road and terrible at towing.

    Anyone buying one of these, who lives in a Metro area, will be fully aware of its size limitations.
    Sales of these and Ram etc, are booming.
    They are a fantastic vehicle for overlanding, and towing.
    That’s where the bulk of them are being used.

  • @bbardy3924
    @bbardy3924 Год назад +1

    Well what is the point of this.
    It cant handle 4.5t Its like most utes overrated for actual towing. Its going to take up alot of area so why not buy a truck.
    For 120k plus im sure their are better options especially if you want to tow big heavy stuff.
    I think most of these utes will be people who have more money than sense. Most likely will be some boss that never gets his hands dirty but will tow something heavy once in a while. The real workers will be driving truck.The boss will show up in his brand new car brag about it then jump out and go sit in the office. Its like the ranger raptor it wont actually be used on site for work.

    • @rich7447

There’s acres of these US trucks in Brisbane, sitting in transport yards as factory LHD vehicles waiting to be shipped to interstate and QLD based converters. We have another Touareg, a V8; but boats grow in size and weight, so we also have a Tundra - Big and thirsty, and frankly, not that popular... A monster that can be scary driving across inner-city link roads - stopping when some thoughtless doofus brakes, the old heart can skip a beat!
