GM has three trims for the 2024MY. 2025 models just went into production and it will have six trim levels. I personally think the LT3 model will be the sweet spot for many. Though you do loose the midgate.
Still have my CT reservation. Not sure why I have not canceled it yet. Ramcharger will be a much better option for me if RAM delivers on its promise. 690 mile range, so that's 345 when towing. 2600lb pay load and 14000lb towing. About 140 mile range battery only.
Wish people would stop the performance/0-60 times of what should be utility vehicles. It would be nice if GM would have an optional range extender in the fron-uck. "I guess you could say that the Cyber Truck is a full size electric pickup truck" .. ouch! 👀😂🤣
I think for me, if I were shopping for an EV truck, it would be a toss=up between this and the R1T. Given I already have a Silverado, I'd probably end up going with another one.
Impressive. But I’m still waiting for solid state batteries.
I wish I was rich enough to buy this truck. I like everything about it.
If you told me that was a Chevy avalanche ev I’d believe you
It is the go to truck if you are doing a lot of electric towing. If that is your bag get it.
In all other cases your generally better off without dragging around another 1000 lbs of battery that get you 100 miles more miles.
the 16 camera is so beautiful damn
No 1 from Africa
This is the first I'm hearing about an EV Silverado. Tesla started the EV trend but let's be real, we always knew a major car company would build the ultimate EV and completely blow Tesla out of the water. And sure enough, here it is.
Well, we still haven’t got anything comparable to the Model 3. Trucks SUVs are cool and all but a mainstream regular car haven’t been impacted as much.
Don't forget that all of Tesla's patents are open source and they encouraged others to make the brand useless. (Before IPO)
@@enginerunsable there are at least 6 cars comparable or better than the model 3 lmao. Elon is not your savior
It's been talked about for years and years by now. Likely, only reason you did not know of it is because you don't follow EV news, or, possibly, because you're European, where huge giant lumps like this one aren't even legal as regular passenger vehicles. ;)
And, "ultimate EV", there's no such thing. People have different needs and different desires.
@UDO23111 can you name them please, I don't care or follow Elon btw, I just don't see any cars that are regular sedans that are affordable like the model 3.
Good review Marques!!!
Frunk having cupholders really makes me think that they're expecting people to vibe under the hood if it starts to rain feks.
I’m really stoked to see the Ram Rev eventually.
Having owned a Rivian for a while now (Which I freaking love), the ram charger might be the way to go for me and a lot of people that tow. The silverado is nice, but that price....
@@hivetyrant7ah yeah the Ram Charger is actually what I meant. I forget the name every time. But hopefully the Rev ends up being good as well.
It's tough to use a truck for work when the payload is limited to just 1,000 pounds. In construction, you typically need a payload capacity of 1,500 to 2,500 pounds because materials are heavy.
Most people who buy trucks not only don't work in construction, they don't even use the bed of the truck lol
@@minch5537 but when you need to use it for construction stuff it should be a good option. It’s 100k dollar truck that has the same cargo weight capacity of lots of medium size suvs. That is just odd.
1000 pound payload capacity is pathetic. After it’s loaded with people it would leave legit nothing to put in the bed.
@@johnnyfive-bc beginning of the silverado EV's they're definitely not built for construction work yet, more experimental and for fun use now.
Trucks are used for work every day with 1000-1500 payload. My loaded F150 has maybe 1350 lb of range and I tow a 8500 lb trailer
8800 lbs!? That’s insane!
29 secs in to the video and this car looks fantastic
$100k+ 🤯🤯🤯 Where are the EVs for the average Joe's like me? 🤔
Much better and much more beautiful than a Tesla Uglytruck.
imagine the range if it wasn't shaped like a brick.
100g's? Son, I'm going back to horses. Ya'll can take a walk.
While Chevrolet makes terrible ICEs they having been making great EVs. As per Marques Brownlee. Chevy Silverado is the Number 1 EV truck! Also he said best deal for EV is the Chevy Bolt.
this is the EV I would buy if I could afford it.
This makes me excited for the electric Tahoe whenever that comes
Great! Another viable option that avoids putting a single dollar in Musk's pocket.
GMC Sierra EV has hit dealer lots already
Seems like a really capable vehicle. Too bad the price and the fact that it looks like an avalanche will probably hurt sales
The camera!!
GM has three trims for the 2024MY. 2025 models just went into production and it will have six trim levels. I personally think the LT3 model will be the sweet spot for many. It has the Mid sized 20 module pack (170KWh) with 390 miles of range. Will also have 12,500lbs towing and nearly 1900lbs payload and be priced a fair bit less than the RST.
The way Stellantis is going I would not want to buy their vehicles. Could end up an orphan.
Arrow = aerodynamic 🤲🏽
A part of my soul dies everytime I don't get metrics in the specs
Of all the words to describe that front end "aerodynamic" shouldn't be one of them.
Wish people would stop the performance/0-60 times of what should be utility vehicles. It would be nice if GM would have an optional range extender in the fron-uck. Really can’t wait for the new ram with that setup. Want to see a 1k mile range truck.
Also one the versions of the lucid air have been independently hwy range tested by out of spec reviews to 500mi
Review the Raptor R please. ik u have been focusing more on EV trucks but reviewing a car on the total opposite end of the spectrum would be quite intriguing to see, especially from ur prospective.
You don't want a 9,000 0-60 in under 3 seconds land missile out in the public.
please review volvo ex90 🙏
You should say random RUclipsrs intro phrases to mess with them, lol
Actual physical buttons!
I’m still thinking about the price of the Panels app 😂😮
16 pro looks neat ngl
This got to win ev of the year
@2:40 It looks like an old skool Chevy avalanche, in my opinion.
I would love to have one of these, but I doubt they'll come to New Zealand any time soon, plus price will be very high here. I do like the range over acceleration choice, I would prefer that over the alternative.
MKHB I'm an OG sub, just my 2 cents. You should try and review the pebble EV camper trailer. It's the only one on the market.
Woooooooow now its almost on par with a gas car 😱 such progress
Find a gas car that is on par with an EV?
Just depends on which side of the fence your on.
On par with gas cars? It's not even close. Name one that can go 440 miles on 6 gallons of gas. But, just to let you know, the Prius Prime, which is considered the most fuel efficient car on the road, won't break 400 miles. EVs exceeded gas cars a while ago.
Thanks!
