Good to see more videos helping people with their ABPA certs/recerts. There are only 10 issues the proctor can create on all 4 assemblies combined, and 5 of them are on the DC. There are only 2 possible problems they will simulate on an RP. A leaking #2 check and a leaking #2 shutoff. The other 3 possible failures are covered in this video on the PVB. If you're a new cert, memorize your procedures and then practice identifying these 10 possible problems, and you're good to go. Remember, the proctor will only give a maximum of 1 problem per assembly. The SVB is a basic process without any problems being simulated as of March 2024. I think they might change this soon though.
On the test there are no extra steps, but you may have to open high bleed a little more since the water coming past the shutoff might be more than is coming out of the high bleed, but no extra steps on the exam. There is a thing where if there is way too much of a leak you can open test cock 1 also
Besides noting that the Shut off valve leaks, would you mark PASS or FAIL when having a shut-off valve leak after obtaining your Air Inlet & Check Valve readings?
I made these videos mostly as a way to review after taking a class, it’s not like my main thing, some people have teams and nice cameras, I literally did these during lunch break at a class I was doing with no script .. but yeah just a basic overview wasn’t meant to be the main body of study material. Maybe the instructors don’t go over it in your classes but we try to explain exactly why each thing fails and how they simulate it just for a basic understanding of how they proctor the tests so you can be prepared when taking an exam. Thank you both for the snarky comments
@@thebackflowbro6864 I am so sorry for what I said. I can’t believe what I wrote. Definitely discussed with myself and I really appreciate your knowledge and efforts. I learned a valuable lesson and so sorry for the offensive remark
Testing today, videos helped great with troubleshooting

Does the leaky #1 shutoff scenario affect the air inlet opening point part of the test?

@@thebackflowbro6864 thank you i have my recert in a few hrs 🙏🙏🙏

Pass .. shutoff valve leaks are marked but for USC 10th the valve test passes as long as you can complete the test with the diagnostic steps
You didnt do the air vacuum test with a leaking inlet shutoff valve! What is procedure?
Where can I get a copy of thee exam?
Decent presentation, just a little fast. Your explaining for yourself not the student.
Are you not entertained ( or explained ) ?? Just kidding
@@thebackflowbro6864 Really? Smart ass remark? Now im not impressed.
