Poncho & Lefty was written & recorded by another Legend Townes Van Zandt. Townes gifted the song to them & also appears in the music video. Everything Townes wrote was genius. I live here in the Nashville area & grew up here. Townes lived down the road from me. One of the greatest writers of all time.

My Dad tried to turn me onto country music when I was a kid back in the 50's and 60's. But I was all Rock n Roll!! I moved to Texas in 1968 and started going to country dances!! I WAS HOOKED!! I don't care much for the new music, but give me Willie, Waylon and the boys (and girls!!!) and I'm in music heaven!! It's hard to believe Willie is 86 years young!! Go Willie!!

I met Willie Nelson at an event for the troops in DC and he talked to me for about 30 minutes and than went on stage did a few songs and his last song he sang was On The Road Again ,walked over to me and said " Here kid you can have it " and handed me his guitar pick and again talked to me for about 10 minutes and said he had to go and when I took a good look at that pick I noticed it was bright green and had his name on one side and a Marijuana leaf on the other. Gotta love Willie one of the greatest times in my life. Thank you Jordan learned a lot keep doing what you do and be safe out there

I didn't know Willie had a museum yet. I love Willie and this is just awesome. To see all the things from people that have played with him and some of the awards he's gotten over the years. I've had the pleasure of seeing Willie live once. It was an awesome show and he played until the early morning hours when the venue had to finally had to pull the plug on the show. The lights came back on and Willie said "Well, they pulled the plug. I think we went past the curfew. Thanks everyone for coming." He cared more about the people that came to the show than he did how much time he was on stage. I've loved Willie for a long time now. Thank you Jordan for this lovely vlog/tribute to Willie. I would have come out of the gift shop flat broke. It must have been hard to decide what to buy. I would have wanted everything. This is one of your best vlogs yet. Safe travels and take care.

Simply none better than Willie. His music sparked my love of country music and I’ve never looked back! I think one of the things I like most about Willie is how he evolved over the years and helped country music evolve, he’s brought so much to the music world.

Great vlog. I especially enjoyed the part about Porter Wagner. He was my 6th cousin on my mother's side. I've been told that in 1969, he came to visit my grandfather when he was very sick, and that he actually patted me and my younger brother on the head. Of course, at 9 years old I really had no idea who he was! Too bad he didn't stick with Dolly Parton - would have been super great to have her in the family also lol. And, Willie Nelson's grand children grew up in Austin, TX and went to school with my step children. The world really is a small place. Thanks for bringing it closer!

What turned me on to Willie was The Red Headed Stranger album. My brother brought it home and we sat there and listened to the whole thing. It was the first time I had ever heard a album tell a whole story. I still love that album. Everyone that is in there are all legends in their own right. But Patsy Cline, well, I've always loved her music. Being able to see her things is a huge treat.

Willie from what I have read myself comes across as a guy that just carried on through the rigors of life no matter what happens. Thank you Jordan for telling Willie's story I am sure the man himself would be chuffed to watch this vlog.

Oh Jordan, so many feels about this vlog. My dad loved Willie and all his friends. Willie has written so many great songs. We didn't appreciate them as much as teenagers, but without realizing it his music just became part of the family soundtrack. I smile when his music randomly comes on and I just start singing along. I think it is time to dig out my dad's LPs.

Was that Tommy Allsup at 24:34? He was the legendary guitar player of Buddy Holly's who narrowly missed being in the plane with Buddy. All came down to a coin toss. I couldn't exactly tell since it was a profile. Also did you happen to see anything on Roger Miller? I know they were really good friends. There was a museum dedicated to him here in Oklahoma and it closed at the end of 2017. His wife said that the items would be going all over Nashville in different places. This museum was supposed to be one of the places since there was stuff on Willie and Roger. At one point before you got to the Friends area I could hear part of Roger's song playing.

Fantastic, I love Willie Nelson, he is so down to earth. I laughed when I heard awhile ago that he smoked weed on the roof top at the White House when Jimmy Carter was president. Jimmy Carter's son confirmed that as did Willie himself. The song he sold for 50 dollars is called 'The Family Bible'. The song Willie wrote 'Roll Me Up And Smoke When I Die' was funny. That's good old Willie for you lol. Honeysuckle Rose is a good movie. To me Willie isn't fake and seems so down to earth. I adore him. Thank you Jordan I really enjoyed this vlog. You really rock. Love to you and Jah .... Nada

@marsoblivi.. what i heard was that when Willie learned of Townes being down on his luck that he offered to record P and L to help him out. Willie was grateful that it turned out to be a huge hit for them.

Loved the first Willie song I ever heard. Then I saw him, it was a shock. Long after his clean cut days. lol Great vlog Jordan. Enjoy your long- overdue time off.

EXCELLENT, as always! Not a huge fan of Ctry & W but what's not to LOVE about Willie?! Saw him in the 90's - what a flirt :) His standards on STARDUST are excellent (swoon). Also saw WAYLON & JESSIE late 90's (WOW!!). I agree they should have more of Willie's personal stuff - thanks, JORDAN

Hello Walls lol good song. Welcome to Tennessee Jordan! Another great Vlog. I hope you get to see Gatlinburg. I saw the vid where you felt bad that it burned, but they were back in business about two weeks later. Still rebuilding but they were ok. If you go to Asheville,N.C. you have to see Biltmore Estate. I don't know if they'll let you Vlog it or not. I know when we were there they wouldn't let us take pictures inside the "house". I don't know what they would say about videos. The outside alone would be a great vlog. Of course I was there over 20 years ago. They may let you take pictures now. I don't know.

I was wondering what happened to his famous telecaster, and read that Keith urban wanted it real bad in an auction, and got outbid.. Only for his wife to walk in the room and tell him she bought it. He said he literally started crying
