I shot Hoyt since I was 19 and nothing but Hoyt. I’m 47 now and I just switched to Mathew’s. I will just say this I will finish out my hunting career with a Mathew’s. In my opinion it’s day and night difference between the two. I only buy a new bow every 3 years but when the price of the bare bow starts getting close to $2,000 it’s time to shop around.
Great shoot off. It seems the mathews grip is their downfall on shots past 50 yards. I prefer Hoyt myself, which is faster at the shorter draw length settings 28 inch and down.
You guys made a fun video here for sure. Kinda hard to have a duel of bows in a dang hurricane. IMO, one of the most important criteria is a smooth even no dump draw. Sure, probably a little slower but speed is very seldom the tiebreaker. 👍👍
Am I the only one that thinks the opposite about the draw cycles? My RX7 at 72 pounds feels like 60, but when I shoot 70 with Mathews i feel like im trying to pull down a brick wall.
it's interesting how draw cycles can vary for different bows and poundages. Everyone's experience can be unique based on their preferences and the specific bow they're using. Do what feels most comfortable for you and suits your shooting style! 🏹
Ya it’s just you! Mathews is the smoothest bow on the market hands down. My Mathews at 70lb is smoother than my Hoyt bow and my 60lb elite all day long
The Hoyt was quieter by far. It looked a little harder to draw but there's a 5lb difference. Also that's going to vary on the shooter. The side view slow mo towards the end. Gave a good visual for why the Mathews was louder.
Not a good idea to base your purchase on the sound from someone's bow on a video. Shoot a couple of new ones side by side without the quivers and I guarantee you'll be surprised.
That 80lb looks way too heavy for you to draw
Some times it can be a lot to handle lol
Oooo! A secret course! How mysterious…
What’s the name of your bow again
Hoyt VTM 31
@@RAX-OUTDOORS ya but didn’t you name it something?
@hunterstud6991 judging by the way hes drawing that bow back....Helga lol.
If California surfer dudes shot bows... It'd be you two.
Haha thanks I think haha
Josh taking Hoyt over Mathews🥹 you dawg! Wonderful video
Thanks brother!!
That bows draw weight is way to heavy on the Hoyt for that guy. You are going to hurt yourself.
Yeah I might turn it down we will see

Freaking entertaining as always 💯

Very true I like your comment
Feels so good to be so good lol 80 lbs draw looks good. Sweet video dudes.
Thanks 🙏

Nope I have a VTM and its smooth like butter

I got lift 29.5 and my buddy got rx8 hands down the Hoyt is smoother draw just my opinion
My VXR 31.5 is at 76lbs and pushes my 480gr arrow at 303fps
Nice
Good video, still going mathews though!
Thanks brother I appreciate it
What this video does prove is that Marsupial makes the best binocular pack. Those who've tried them agree!
They do make a good pack
Seems that either way it’s a good decision!
Personal preference
I will stick to 70lbs thanks 485 grain gold tip kinetic.
Nice
I'm biased so I choose Hoyt. My RX-7 Ultra build: 82lbs, 31.5 inch draw, 552 grain arrow (15%FOC) shoots 290fps.
Nice brother
Your that guy that lives in your moms basement
Haha no I have my own place

Yeah when I was editing this I could hear the difference! And the Hoyt was way quieter
@@RAX-OUTDOORS definitely appreciate the video. Thanks to you I know what bow I'm going with.
That Phase 4 needs the string stop adjusted. You should be able to fit a playing card between the string & stop.

@@MatthewC137 I 100 percent agree with you!
