Leeman changed a lot since this was 3 years ago. You can see by his face he was insecure full of doubts. Great for him that he found girlfriend and is happy with his life
+kadijaish He doesnt have that face because hes insecure and full of doubts lol, He has it cause he thinks of hes dead brother and fucked up shit. Still to this day he has a face like that when trying a pr.
David Gatica hmm maybe. That would make sense. Though I feel like it was a different one, somewhere in the middle of his video library. The title might be like a Q and A or "what I do to prepare for a lift" or something like that.
Wow awesome footage and editing of an awesome and epic meet. These dudes looked smoked by the time deadlifts came around. Was Stan's squat uploaded yet? I've been trying to keep up with these videos and haven't seen him yet.
he still technically is. He pulled 909 raw and 907 for 4 lol. He also pulled 1005 for 2 deadstop from blocks. George is by far one of the strongest people in history besides thor, eddie, shaw.etc
+Troy Obillo He injured his knee when he was younger and never had surgery. He does bench press and sometimes squat variations (box squats, hack squats). But George mostly focuses on deadlift and does deadlift only
The importance of this video is the date of production. 2012. Not much public knowledge about lifting outside of the typical bro split. So basically these lifters are miracle workers. You just witnessed someone pull 800 lbs with overhand grip. Even someone with common sense would know the impossibility for a person to do that. Even 315 starts to slip with an overhand grip after a few reps. 405 with overhand grip would be an accomplishment. My point is that they either have gall or they don't even notice their own ridiculousness. Someone pulls 800lbs with an overhand grip you should ask them to walk on water next.
He was using hook grip which is a method in which your thumb its placed under your fingers. Olympic lifters have been using it for decades. Tbh I don't know if there is anyone who can double overhand 800. I've seen 5 and 600 overhand but 800 I don't think has been done
@@johnrobinson1762 I've done 405 but I need a bar with really sharp knurling like a quality power bar or deadlift bar to dig into my skin. Do you watch Brian Alsruhe? He does between 315-405 double overhand with rows! It's insane
word, guy Technique>form Technique = the way you maximize your leverages to put lbs on the bar. This could include sinking the hips lower, getting the hips higher, rounding the upper back, rounding the lower back, straightening the back etc etc. It is different for every individual. Text book perfect form is not powerlifting technique.
Lucas Valdez yah but yanking on the bar is not good form or technique. and a completely rounded lower and upper back and he seems to not be tight at all.
Why the fuck didnt george get the 393? That was a lockout for sure, Im not sure about many of the others i saw.. many wasnt even close lockout still they got it? wtf
+Steven Barrett wtf? Vince had a pull right after wich he dropped without command. just that he slowed it down at the bottom, but theres no rules about that. They held it in lockout about the same time both, kinda dumb
What a bunch of bullshit, George is like 10+ years younger than everyone and he was THE strongest, So fucking annoying that hes grip couldnt hold 903, Cause he got it up to easy. What a beast
joe nolan Pretty sure george didnt stop taking gear, Hes just not in america atm, Hes in thailand or where the fk it is, and they dont have enough weights to help him progress, ive talked with him and its hes own words, havent asked if he stoped taking gear tho
joe nolan Dont think its possible keeping that size and strength if you stop taking gear lol, you cant just take gear and get up to 350 and stop taking it and continue for the rest of your life staying at 350 imo
joe nolan Wow what the fuck is wrong with you, are you jelly? No i actually have him on facebook, he helps me with training and im also the one that makes hes intros on youtube, so guess im pretty special you ignorant fuck.
Eric Lilliebridge, Pete Rubish and George Leeman all look like children compared to what they look like now haha
Leeman looks so young here
Juhmick M steroids is one hell of a drug

Legendary meet
Ernie SR is awesome and a encouraging guy you can tell
This is a high quality video that captures the thrue spirit of powerlifting meets and shows perfectly the intense emotions of the athletes. Thank you!
Leeman changed a lot since this was 3 years ago. You can see by his face he was insecure full of doubts. Great for him that he found girlfriend and is happy with his life
+kadijaish Not anymore :(
his girfriend left him
+kadijaish he had the girlfriend here that guy vince urbank is her brother
+kadijaish He doesnt have that face because hes insecure and full of doubts lol, He has it cause he thinks of hes dead brother and fucked up shit. Still to this day he has a face like that when trying a pr.
*passed away
I miss this powerlifting meets and this lifters, it was way more interesting than all the IG lifters of today
Man, Lilly's 3rd deadlift was effortless. So awesome.
11:56 so much pain in Leemans face.
Jedd Harris I heard he was thinking about his siblings that passed away and that he used to do that for each deadlift.
tfranc347 Ah rough, got the video on this?
Jedd Harris Not at the ready, no. I know he's talked about it on his channel in his archives. I forget what the name of the video is.. sorry.
tfranc347 906lbs deadlidt for my dad??
David Gatica hmm maybe. That would make sense. Though I feel like it was a different one, somewhere in the middle of his video library. The title might be like a Q and A or "what I do to prepare for a lift" or something like that.
this is great, everyones rooting for each other
This might have been the best roster of any powerlifting meet
On the short list for sure
08:01 that kid in the background is going HAM on the biceps curls
10:55 dan green was about to hit that 800lbs bench lol
George Leeman, omfg, stronk!
Come back Leeman.
I'm more impressed you got a low key lifter like Leeman than I am over the whole lillibridge family being there lol
Dan BOSS Green as always laid back personality but a beast in liftin heavy ass weights
8:14 in the background. That's how I feel looking this guys.
The speed on Brandon Lily is just fucking amazing
8:15 Gainzz
That kid will be breaking records in no time.

Awesome vid man
Wow awesome footage and editing of an awesome and epic meet. These dudes looked smoked by the time deadlifts came around.
Was Stan's squat uploaded yet? I've been trying to keep up with these videos and haven't seen him yet.
How tall is Vince Urbanak? He is a freak of nature.
Wow they all look so young
Vince Urbank has sloth-like arms haha
Man, some of these guys are freakin tall
Vice Urbank sounds like a plane taking off when he exhales
The 804.5 lb pull looked sketchy. They're supposed to be a green plate on the end.
is it just me or is mark bells left arm like significantly bigger than his other? 2:22-2:25
+GummyyBearrrr yeah lol
Thanks!
The lift is gooooood ! :'D
The lift is good 😂😂
Bet she had fun saying that
This bitxh fr😂
Hickson has such a weird setup
Is there a bench flight with all these monsters from this day?
it looks like leeman is the youngest and the strongest
ur real dad not the strongest anymore
he still technically is. He pulled 909 raw and 907 for 4 lol. He also pulled 1005 for 2 deadstop from blocks. George is by far one of the strongest people in history besides thor, eddie, shaw.etc
Scary to think Bene could do more than 60kg more than anyone there. Great video btw.
Dan Green's triceps are massive!
+Jim Mcdonald Hey Jim, does George Leeman only specialize in deadlifts and only compete in that category or does he do the other 2 competition lifts?
+Troy Obillo He injured his knee when he was younger and never had surgery. He does bench press and sometimes squat variations (box squats, hack squats). But George mostly focuses on deadlift and does deadlift only
Ah okay, thank you
anyone know what shoes dan green and george leeman are wearing?

Let's go Ernie, with a name like that you should be deadlifting 1,400 pounds. Hahahahahaha 🤣😂
What happened to Stan Efferding?
someone tell her there are other words than "Looking GOOD!"
She is saying "Lift is good" not "Looking good" lol.
zay lifts hahaha so she is. still annoying
clynt purcell lol
You're kidding......
that chris hickson has such a ugly deadlift
word, guy like he is super strong but did someone just not teach him to deadlift

George leman is talk af... then Vince urbank comes out at 8 foot 5 damn it. Never seen anything from him after this meet, wonder why
@@Banned_and_Redacted not George lmao
@@Banned_and_Redacted I was tracking the George stuff. Screw it I’m bored I could use another rabbit hole like that to delve into 😂😂😂😂
@@Banned_and_Redacted I heard a bit but not near as much about Vince
Pound for pound, nobody beats Dan Green except for Jeremy Hamilton
Alex Hamilton yeah but why is he using that bullshit form
whats the song in the intro?
These guys are like the justice league to me.
"Dan Green" is Thor's Earth name.
was urbank using double-overhand or hook?
hook grip!
magnet grip
Pete looks so young here!
Is that chris hickson or chris hitchson? come on... eh eh? No? okay I'm done
Lift is gooooood.
yea buddy... wooo
Definitely the record for the most mentally unstable lifters in a single meet.
What's up with Dan Green doing the sumo deadlifts?
Dan always pulls sumo
and he eats butt
Yeah dude no shit, this is like way better than tv now. Jim McD and supertraining for the MFin win
Damn Vince Urbank looks just like Leeman and has the same pulling style. So wierd.....
HARDCORE DL BIATCHEZ !
You/re welcome.

@8:25 , kid doing bro-curls in the back...nice.

F U C K
Why the fuck didnt george get the 393? That was a lockout for sure, Im not sure about many of the others i saw.. many wasnt even close lockout still they got it? wtf
He dropped the bar because of his grip. In a meet, you need to wait for the down command and then set it down.
+Steven Barrett wtf? Vince had a pull right after wich he dropped without command. just that he slowed it down at the bottom, but theres no rules about that. They held it in lockout about the same time both, kinda dumb
+ruben scott I mean dropped as in let go completely.
Balla music in the background
i dont get why georges first attempt was no good
it was, his second was no good cause he dropped it.
"the lift is good"
George Leeman is a strange dude.
What a bunch of bullshit, George is like 10+ years younger than everyone and he was THE strongest, So fucking annoying that hes grip couldnt hold 903, Cause he got it up to easy. What a beast
joe nolan My bad, ye 865. And what thee fuck do you mean with hes cheating, Cause hes on gear? al of these mofos is on gear.
joe nolan Pretty sure george didnt stop taking gear, Hes just not in america atm, Hes in thailand or where the fk it is, and they dont have enough weights to help him progress, ive talked with him and its hes own words, havent asked if he stoped taking gear tho
joe nolan Dont think its possible keeping that size and strength if you stop taking gear lol, you cant just take gear and get up to 350 and stop taking it and continue for the rest of your life staying at 350 imo
joe nolan Lol no hes like 320... I talked with him for like a week ago lol
