The BBC's News at One, which is broadcast on BBC One and BBC News becomes the first BBC national news bulletin to move to MediaCity Salford, just outside Manchester.
MediaCity already has the BBC's Breakfast programme broadcasting from the North West of England to a nationwide audience.
Phil McCann reports from Salford.
