    I would like choices to matter more. In the Civil War quest for Skyrim, you’re basically just deciding a few NPC lines of dialogue and the color the guards wear.

    Bring back the ability to make your own spells. Also, maybe bring back a locked in class system.

    I would love to see all of these in the next Elder Scrolls game

    A major flaw with building in Fallout 4 was that the building locations came at the cost of handcrafted settlements/towns with unique NPCs and quests. I fully expect TES 6 to include this mechanic, but I truly truly don't want to be come at the cost of Villages in the game. Considering the lack of handcrafted locations in Starfield, it's not looking great...

    • @JunkandCraft
      @JunkandCraft  9 дней назад +1

      I didn't even think about that. I love all the locations in Skyrim. It would suck if the next game is full of crappy one shack villages that you need to build up to look good.

    A proper survival mechanic like fallout 4 would be awesome. They really need to upgrade the combat, besides that im sure it will be fun to play.
    I hope they add variations on heights with npcs i always feel like that adds to immersion.

    I 100% agree with everything you said.
    Just to expand on the combat portion a bit, I think Bethesda really should add more weapon variety. It's a medieval world, and yet there are no spears. There's so much they could do with different weapon types.
    The very few weapon types in Skyrim all feel very similar, and their animations are more or less the same. I'm not saying they should add exhaustive weapon categories and animations. Just a few different weapon types, like 10 for example would already be really amazing if they all actually felt different to play with.

    I think they need to add tower shields and spears. Give a different dynamic to the Civil War pitched mechanics.
    It would also be nice to craft the asthetic of an Imperial sword, but in Ebony.

      Polearm weapons were everywhere in fantasy/medieval times, it would be nice to see some in the next game

    Rly good video, i liked the settlement mechanic (currently doing a minuteman playthrough) but dont think it would transition too well from fallout to elder scrolls. I think the problem is everything just looks like a shack, even if its big it looks like a giant shack. But i think i highly altered version where buildings look actually buildings (maybe more prefab based) and the scrapping mechanic doesn't rly work as much imo. Makes more sense to set up like contracts w/ quarrys and logging places. Would be cool to have different types of settlements too, like some would be forts/ castles, then you have villages that focus on crops or trade. Sry for long ass message im just riffing, bethesda better hire me before they come out w/ mid again 😄

  • @AzureFailure

    100% agreed, better melee combat is a must - and I'm sad to see they didn't really improve it in Starfield compared to FO4. I also love the base building and as you said it would be awesome to defend it from bandit raids (or enemy armies as some leaks have suggested).
    Starfield's story, character and quest design has caused me to lost nearly all hope for a good Elder Scrolls sequel but if they expand upon the ship building mechanic and outpost system, ESVI may become the perfect city builder RPG (not that I know of any city builder RPGs, lol).

      I don't have a ton of faith in Bethesda right now, but I feel like they know they need the next Elder Scrolls game to be best or people will start to turn on them.

    They need to make it so your titles mean something and carry authority. Im a thane yet no one knows it and they still talk crap to me. Or figure shops would want to get on your good side so they offer discounts. Make it so other holds know who you are. Since your reputation should follow you. and they should know of you for all the things you've done. I'm the College master, Leader of the Companions, Leader of the thieves guild. The Listener for the Dark Brotherhood. Champion of all the Dadric Princes. Brother to the Orcs. There is no want some Yarls don't know who you are or guards. or shop keeps.

    Focus on making a good game before giving us base building. Making your own house in skyrim from predetermined blueprints was super cool. It would have been nice to be able to upgrade fort dawnguard and some other places

    • @JunkandCraft
      @JunkandCraft  10 дней назад

      That sounds like the best thing to do. The Hearthfire houses looked very nice, it would be hard to recreate that with a build mode like fallout 4

  • @thisismyyoutubecommentacco6302
    @thisismyyoutubecommentacco6302 10 дней назад +1

    Agreed with most except your last suggestion.
    1) Enemy variety would be nice, also enemy variety shouldn't consist of re-skinned other enemies (such as Lurkers having the same move set as giants, and seekers' moving suspiciously similar to Dragon Priests). Skyrim was an improvement on Oblivion where trolls only had one flavor and were just green blobs most of the time but still.
    2) As a PC master race player I didn't even know paid creation club was a thing most of the time, but yes, Todd should stop exploiting the PC slave class to actually finish his fucking game.
    3) I will give Skyrim some credit on this, Skyrim's combat is an improvement on both Morrowind and Oblivion, the problem is with the mods that have been produced you can tell that for not much more effort the game could have easily had combat closer to something like dark souls or other action RPG's rather than the stiff combat we see in the game. I do concede that part of the issue is the commitment to both first person and third person perspective makes it difficult, so maybe committing to one or the other would be the better way to go.
    4) Honestly the easiest way to fix this is with de-leveled worlds. This is why Requiem is probably the most popular overhaul mod base. You should have to start with easier areas and work your way up to Dwemer Ruins and Dragons. The idea of "freedom" in Bethesda games removes challenge often because the game has to cater to the player. Modpacks like DNGG, Arkay's Commandment, 3BTweaks, and Wildlander prove people are hungry for a world they can build themselves up to and conquer, rather than a world that has to be 100% accessible right away.
    5) No, the last thing I want in Elder scrolls is another knock off minecraft.

    • @JunkandCraft
      @JunkandCraft  10 дней назад

      I appreciate the detailed response! I'll check out Requiem. I wonder what % of fallout 4 players actually liked the building lol

    -Levitation and teleportation
    -Throwing knives, spears, claymores, nunchucks, rapiers
    -Bring back acrobatics and backflips or whatever. In skyrim all characters have near identical movement speed
    -More life simulator stuff (like taking out loans from Daggerfall)
    -Needs to stop overreliance on dungeons. Play the entire series and it for the most part feels like a one trick pony with dungeon crawling over and over. Skyrim is especially bad in this regard, the thiefs guild final mission is a dungeon instead of a mansion or something thief-like.
    -More content that is specifically only meant for max-level characters. The series is terrible in this regard, maybe skyrim has the Ebony warrior. Its annoying most of the games content is over when your chatacter is finally at their most powerful.
    -Add board/card games in inns!!!!! The series doesnt have cool minigames!!!
    -Speech craft actually does something. Skyrims main quest doesn't have any real speech checks once!!!
    -Actually add the other dimensions and make them explorable. Like Oblivion has Oblivion in it. Like how cool would it be if you could build an oblivion portal following steps you found in a book and go there?? Thats where they could add end game content.
    -Make it so followers can actually sneak. They didn't even fix this in Starfield!!! There was a mission where I had to sneak into that lab and I had to keep reloading the save cause the follower didn't know how to follow me into the floor vents!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    -Add bounty hunters that will actually try and hunt you down!!!
    -Add nudity!!! I'm not joking!!! Skyrim has all this disturbing stuff like cannibals and so do all the other games. And in the lore look at what Molag Ball did to Serena, its even said in the game! I don't understand how the games are so PG-13, like they are just not mature enough IMO. Look at Aurora from Starfield, its super weird how the games all have mature themes but are really PG-13 in the onscreen portrayal. It's a bizzare contradiction. There are like 3 swear words in the whole Skyrim script but the game starts with brutal medieval beheadings, has torture and all these dark themes but... Yeah I've made my point!!!
    There is literally no point writing anything else because the game is never coming out lol!! Starfield is not good enough, I want Elder Scrolls !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • @JunkandCraft

      We have to wait for a random Indie dev to make a game like that now. IMO I feel like that will happen sooner than later with the current state of the game industry.
