      Piet is a long way from being amazing. He sings very well, but he lacks vocal technique and also interpretation. It is not just about singing a song, you have to know how to interpret it. In a piece of the song it is heard as a scream and the correct thing was that a musical note was heard, not a scream. Dimash is a teacher and really amazing.

    Comparing Piet and Dimash is like comparing Michelangelo and Da Vinci, two amazing artists with their own very special gifts. Whom you like is based on personal taste nothing else. I love them both and I am grateful I live in a time when these singers are here to show us that we have not seen it all. Yet. Thank You to both Singing Artists.

      Dimash is more superior . This guy is very good, but he wouldn't last that long on stage, attempting to sing Dimash's songs. He is standing in a room and not moving. He would not have the stamina, that Dimash has. There is no way in hell, any one of these pretenders could pull off Adagio and Daybreak.

      @@marshayoung9387 Oh, please, don't make me laugh. I know how Dimash sounds without microphone, acapella, I also attend all his concerts. The man actually gives concerts, improvises, sings with the audience, removes his microphone. I have seen countless analyses of his vocals in spectral programs.
      I wonder when Piet will give a concert and actually sing anything live, let alone such a song as SOS.

    • @trishhill9476
      @trishhill9476 Месяц назад +2

      @Marshayoung9387, Dimash does not have a sound man, as you like to put it, to sound better. He doesn't need anybody to make him sound better. His vocals are superior. He is technically perfect. What he does with his voice is phenomenal. What you said is an insult to Dimash.

    • @trishhill9476
      @trishhill9476 Месяц назад +1

      Piet's voice is not more natural, than Dimash's. Piet has a very good voice, a very good falsetto, but his voice sounds quite weak and fragile. There is no way in hell, he could handle SOS, singing live, on stage. He certainly could not sing it the way, Dimash does on stage. Piet was standing in a small room, in a controlled environment. Piet couldn't get through the whole song, without struggling, on stage.

    I know Piet (peet) very well, we have been close friends for a long time. I have worked closely with him. He does in fact have that incredible voice. Fb2 - F7+
    He is very much a perfectionist when it comes to his vocals. I am a huge fan of Dimash but as far as him being the 1st to sing this way, you will find, on Piet’s channel that he posted his first video to RUclips about 9 years ago. I believe it was, “The Long And Winding Road” in which he does his full range, including whistle register. So, if there was a first then I believe this might be it.

      @@michelea9725 yes, things are going very well for Piet. He is busy finishing his first album. It is nearly done. The first single will be online everywhere in about 30 days, that is barring some unseen interruption. Last year was tough for everyone, it slowed us down considerably. The whole industry was affected big time. We are back on track and working feverishly to make up the last twelve months. One couldn’t access the recording studio until 6-8 weeks ago. We will be doing an offering on “Go Fund Me” soon. We need to raise the funds we need to produce physical CD’s and vinyl. May we count on you to check out our funding round one? We are also working on the script for the second album which is soon to be a full length film. He will also be performing live by the fall or early winter, based on the venues opening up and once again ‘live’ concerts will be back.

      Diese Version ist eine Studioversion, das ist keine Live Aufnahme. Was mich stört, einmal das er dieses Video so völlig im Dunkeln aufgenommen hat, somit kann man ihn kaum erkennen und das schwarze Bild wirkt einfach nicht auf mich ein. Diese Stimme war ein Glück der Natur und ich finde, da kommt für mich und viele Menschen die ich kenne einfach nichts rüber, es wirkt kalt, aufgesetzt und kann mich nicht überzeugen. Das klingt für mich nach einer billigen Kopie von Dimash. Aber an ihn wird er niemals herankommen, sieht man ja auch daran, das er kaum noch Covers veröffentlicht hat, seit 2018. Auch wenn der Mariah Carey verehrt, klingt das einfach zu gewollt, das wirkt einfach nicht ehrlich. Er versucht einfach zu viel und das ist auf Dauer nervig. Hier merkt man deutlich den Unterschied zwischen können und gekonnt, ich finde er hat eine gute Stimme, wird aber niemals das Potenzial für einen Superstar haben. Man merkt einfach das er bemüht ist, alles zu zeigen was er kann, ich finde es klingt einfach nicht ehrlich, da bleibt nichts zurück. Alleine das Gesicht vom Coach hier, der das Lied bewertet, zeigt den Unterschied zwischen Dimash und ihm, da kommt nichts rüber. Bei Dimash was das völlig anders. Außerdem blieb es bei diesem einen Song , also war kein Interesse mehr vorhanden. So ergeht es vielen. Und bei Dimash wartet man schon sehnsüchtig auf den nächsten Song, jeder ist von Anfang an fasziniert, hier erkennt man gar nichts davon. Außerdem ist die Kopfstimme auch Falsett genannt zu schwach , kling sehr nervig. Mich und viele konnte dieser Mann nicht überzeugen.

    Wow I see so many negative and hateful comments here, it’s honestly sad. Piet never said he was better than Dimash, he actually said that Dimash is his idol and he looks up to him. All singers use auto tune and other effects to make their voices sound cleaner, even when they perform ‘live’ they often have prerecorded sections. All that being said, the fact that Piet can even hit those notes is incredibly impressive. All the auto tune and post recording fine tuning in the world can’t make those notes materialize out of thin air. He has to already be able hit those notes. He is an amazing singer, and this was an incredible cover of an incredible song. Please just try to be nice, it’s not difficult to keep your hate to yourself and appreciate something beautiful.

    Thank you for sharing your first reaction to Piet Arion’s performance of S.O.S, and if I’m not mistaken, I believe that you mentioned that this is your first time hearing Piet. I hope that there will be many more to come. I enjoyed your thoughtful and as it appeared to me, pleasantly surprised reaction.
    Because you asked, His name is pronounced Peet Air-E-on, he is from a Vienna, Austria.
    If you visit Piet’s RUclips channel, you will find that he posted his first video, about 12 years ago, and like we just experienced from his performance of S.O.S., this is how masterfully he was singing, even back then, (Dimash was around 13 years old at that time).
    Piet’s range, I’m pretty sure, is Eb 2 - F 7. He has xlnt command of his voice, in all registers.
    I believe this first posted song is “The Long and Winding Road”, by Lennon - McCartney. In his rendition, He takes us all the way down into the basement (as Richard Carpenter referred to it when describing his sister Karen’s voice), the ‘second’ octave - lifts us well up into the ‘seventh’ and soars beyond, as we experience in his strong, seemingly effortless Whistle register.
    He has demonstrated these strengths, time and time again, through his many performances over the past decade, like in the more recent cover, of Billie Elishe’s, “No Time to Die” from the 2020 release of the latest film in the James Bond ‘007’ franchise.
    While both Piet and Dimash’s voices are unique, they are distinctly individual and quite different.
    The one thing that I find most worthwhile in drawing comparisons between Piet and Dimash, is rooted in their character. Each of them are generous, authentic and bighearted which makes them ‘both’ endearing to their well deserved fans.
    Regards from a new subscriber... Dana Allen, President of Obelisk Records which is soon to release, the first single, “In My Daydream” from Piet’s up and coming album, “Young and Free”.

I feel they both are FANTASTIC singers. I love listening to both on their own merits. I WILL say Piet seems resistant to belt with his Tenor chest voice and will switch to head too soon sometimes. So far, no one has sung this song as well and evenly as Dimash.
    The Piet does not have that consistency, regardless of the fact that it performs very well on the demanding sections.
    So far, there is still no one who performs demanding parts in different songs as uniformly as Dimash does.
    Of course, people will always find comparisons, but Dimash is in a category of his own.

    I love both Piet and Dimash, but to compare them would be like comparing apples and oranges. Dimash is a showman with incredible talent and elaborate stage productions. You can go back 12 years on Piet as far as his videos when he was young and it's obvious that he has a natural talent... Check out his version of Run To You. Since, Piet seems to have evolved into an artist with a rare talent who has star quality with excellent stage presence. He comes across with more sensitivity in interpretation - and with stunning surprises with his technique, stamina and incredible range that seems to come so seamlessly and easily resulting in a remarkable performance. His mixed voice and whistle notes are sublime... Both Piet and Dimash so unique and gifted in their own ways. After seeing Piet's video of his version of Morissett's Akin Da Na Lang I would love to see Piet in a duet with Morissette... Now that would be magic. I hope that someday someone will notice him give him the advantages that some of the other artists like Dimash have had. He deserves it and I wish the best for him!

    There is a "dispute" between Piet and Dimash on the internet over these whistles. But I already say that to believe in this higher note from Piet I want to see a live performance of him. Because all the ones I see of him are made in the studio, and obviously easily edited.

    • @danafreddy
      @danafreddy 3 года назад +4

      That is not true at all!
      Piet wasn’t looking for publicity, he was singing the song because he wanted too sing it.
      There is no rule, that says fans of Dimash get to behave in this very judgmental, better than thou, hateful way, toward anyone, especially other singers.
      Anyone can sing what they wish to.
      You people with your fact lacking accusations, allow me to enlighten you:
      Number
      1; Piet does not have an X manager
      2; piet has a 6.5 octave range and a well controlled and big Whistle Register
      3; Piet Has been posting songs to RUclips since Dimash was thirteen and you would not hear of Dimash for another 9 years.
      4; one of Piet’s first songs is “The Long And Winding Road” by Lennon, McCartney. Piet reaches down to about F2 and then climbs into the stratosphere (many years ago)
      5; Piet is a big hearted gentleman; he does not give people recording or writer credits and pay tribute to them for any reason other than out of respect and from the heart.
      6; Piet doesn’t lie - which is what you accuse.
      Why do you feel that it is alright for you to slander and bully other people who are simply living their life as they choose, they are not slandering or bullying.
      It just So happens, that in this case, you are slandering and bullying a beautiful young man with a one in a million voice who, I might add, shares these great covers and some originals with everyone, you included, for free.
      So let me get this straight, you come here to check out ‘who’ dares to sing a song that Dimash covered; yes it’s a cover, and what you find when you get here is a singer who is truly remarkable and you feel threatened, why? Because it is sung brilliantly and you fear that Dimash will no longer be the only one who can do these feats of the voice.
      Well, if I may point out, Piet and Dimash can hit some pretty unbelievable notes and they both have wonderful voices but the most comparable thing they both have is a big heart. You are falsely putting Dimash on a pedestal, a place that he doesn’t wish to be placed and at the same time your being hurtful to Piet with no regard to his humble musical endeavors or his feelings.
      Piet can be as big an artist as he sets out to be, he has all the goods. When you hear his new original songs, you will see for yourselves that he is really good but not at all like Dimash. They are two great voices, let’s just enjoy their journeys and you stop wasting your time by putting a damper on our ‘good times’.
      We are blessed to get to hear many xlnt singers none of which are competing to be better that one another, they are doing their best at developing their own uniqueness.
      Both of these young me have wonderful and unique talents but their voices are completely different. The are both champions. Leave them to enjoy what they do...

    read the comments, I was not surprised by anything, nowadays you like singers singing with autotones more than real talent. I have to admit that some of your registers are very good, but some of them seemed unnatural, it would be good if you sing live. Below I will write some information about Dimash, for those pathetic creatures who have not even heard Dimash's song and write nonsense 👇Dimash Kudabergen, living legend, genius singer, one in a million, no, one in a billion. With 23 years of classical training, he has become a unique vocalist. He has an amazing musical education, all the technical details he sings and uses, he knows how it works. He is musical perfection. There is no technical detail that he doesn't have, no one has ever had such talent and skills, he can be bass, baritone, tenor, counter tenor, alto, mezzo soprano, soprano and so on, he sings in 15 languages, he has the biggest range . He sings many genres, opera, pop, rap and so on. In addition to the talent that God gave, the work that he did is amazing. From the age of 5, he dedicated his life to music, did everything to develop it (swimming in the pool, breathing control, range, healthy lifestyle)He is an amazingly humble, warm simple man, apart from his musical excellence, as a person he is an amazing person. His songs are exceptionally complex both technically and emotionally, he is able to properly develop emotion in music both vocally and artistry.Dimash has fans (called dears) from 150 countries around the world. I'd say his fans are special because we don't love Dimash because he has good looks (well, he's very attractive and cute) or because his performances are fun (unlike other pretend singers who are more performers than singers and vocalists). We love him because of the talent he has, because of the work he has done almost all his life. He deserves everything. There is no other singer who can be compared to him, he is at the apogee of development.He plays 7 instruments, loves the culture of his country and wants to introduce it to the world. As I already wrote, he is very educated, he is still studying. he has 2 degrees in classical and contemporary, and on the way to a doctorate in musicology.Dimash has an incredible range that no one has ever had, full range 7.7 octaves, from G0 to D8. ( D8 whistle note , off the piano) Has very good details, staccato, distinctive vibrato, rifs, melizens, vocal acrobatic, glissando, crescendo, dominoendo, long notes, breath control, correct tesitura, Able to develop emotion properly, fit roles well . Uses professional technique, Italian Bell Canto technique. In his song it feels like he is a professional even without high notes.Unfortunately, as always, geniuses are appreciated late, this guy deserves much, much more recognition, I hope the time will come and he will be properly appreciated. I also want to mention that Dimash is like a drug. I have been listening to him for the third year, I can't imagine a day without listening to him, he is the best, not because he sings high notes and has a great range, but because he enters the soul with his song and you feel something you have never felt before. .But if we consider it from a technical point of view, in this case too
    Dimash is the best. As vocal teachers and professionals say, his singing is technical perfection.Dimash's parents are singers, his mother is a soprano, his father is a singer and also a producer, as far as I know, Dimash's grandparents are singers, so from a musical point of view, Dimash has good genetics, he has a natural innate talent, which he developed after 23 years of work, and we have a unique singer in front of us. I could probably write a lot more, but I'll stop now, I want more people to know about him, believe me, you won't regret it. I hope I conveyed what I wanted to say correctly.
