Love my Snap-on ratcheting drivers!
Obviously, I do too. Thanks for watching! 😁
Great video! It's funny how people's tool choice varies..I am in Telecoms in the UK, and I can't ever remember using a set of pliers like yours, or linesman's pliers either in the last 35 years. As the conductor's in the cables became smaller I don't think there was a need..
As far as pliers went, the three go-to tools were diagonal cutters, needlenose pliers, and adjustable end type strippers, a completely different style to the type popular in the US.
All these pliers were 6".
We would also possibly have crimpers (the company issued several different types over the years) and one or more insertion tools, plus a small selection of screwdrivers and that would round out a basic domestic service tool kit, barring testers, butt phones ect..
During the first couple of years I was out on installations, we did not even have electric drills, but rather a hammer driven No 14 Rawplug tool plus a couple of sizes of hand augers for going through wooden door or window frames! How the times have changed!!!
😄 Well stated! I use a lot of 18awg cables with beans, so my "crimpers" are still my go to for cutting and crimping. Plus they are large enough to double as a hammer! haha! On occasion, depending on what I'm doing, I will swap them out for some diag. cutters. :)
Yes the crimper is good stuff always in my bag
😊 You can't make quality connections without the correct tools.
lovely set up , love my knipex 150 grips , I carry 2x pairs at all times !
I wish I'd started using the years ago, I was late to that party! 😏
knipex 8" diagonal cutters, klein needle nose, klein 11 in 1 , and a folding razor
I've had my eyes on the knipex diagonal cutters. I don't cut enough things to warrant them in my EDC Veto TP3B though, but definitely in my "I need" collection. Other are good choices, depending on your trade. :) Thanks for the follow and comment! :)
