Thanks for video, nice to see different approaches of organizing the tools.
    I am electrician, installer, Sweden.
I haven't yet figured out the optimal way.
For now my go to, and the only one tool box is the RAACO COMPACT 47.
It's an amazing box, will drawer boxes for the screws etc. It works as a work bench to cut smth, and one can sit or stay on it.
All my hand tools are in this box .
The small things, such a pencils, non-contact probe are in the trousers pockets.
The most common way to organize work in Sweden is the way when one brings all once tools on the place (tote, bag, box, depends on taste). And then one puts the tools one needs in the pockets of once trousers. I mean pockets which are kind of extra hanging pockets in addition to the standard once.
Now I am considering about to test pouches. Because of trousers often becomes too heavy getting damaged from the sharp tools. And I want to separate tools a bit in different bags (maybe backpack + pouches) because my RAACO box Is too heavy.

Highly recommend the toughbuilt system. Can use a combination of padded belts/shoulder strap etc. very easy to clip on and off too for versatility

The tough built system has looked great. Good price for those as. How has it lasted?

Haven’t had an issue. I work with a lot of solar so they’ve definitely been put through their paces. Can try any combination of tool set ups you like.
I like the journeyman pouch for carrying most things (including m12 driver) and the small electrician pouch for small jobs.

Over the shoulder Milwaukee electrician pouch, keep my meter in the front pocket, use the Milwaukee Magnetic Flood light aswell as the Milwaukee rechargeable head lamp

Use the same two pouches. Mp1 on my hip when running calls and the 3 for installation work. Keep the weight down on hip by using combination tools and 3 get all my insulated tools.

I’m a plumber/gas tech I carry a veto tech mct because I need a lot of handtools and different types of meters at every job.
It’s actually a bit too small but I really don’t want to tote around a tech LC even though I’d love owning one

    • @AddictedtoTools
      @AddictedtoTools  3 года назад

That’s the hardest part. Choosing the amount of tools and how to carry them. I always overload my bags. Then they get to heavy.
I’ve just moved to a Milwaukee tote to see if I like using a tote.
      It’s been great so far.

Thanks for the tip of the shoulder strap. Always didnt like tool belts cos I end up putting to much in them and they end up pulling your pants down. I have gone over to a tool bag, But might try the combo of a tool bag and a tool belt on a shoulder strap. Problem with a tool bag is you start yo yo ing when you are on a ladder. Also if you stuff to much in your tool belt when you take tools out you can drop others. I have found storing your pliers handles down helps this and is faster once you are use to it.

I have this bag and from watching your video I didn’t know you can fit all that in there😁
I guess I have to just play with it

FYI Milwaukee and a Klein both have Sheetrock saws that fold now. They’re awesome and you change the blade to whatever you like. Look that up you won’t need that sleeve anymore over your blade.

Do you always keep your pouch on your belt/shoulder or do you sometimes put it down when you enter a room etc? Do you ever pick tools based on the weight of them in order to keep you comfortable

    • @AddictedtoTools
