I'm moving out next year. As an immigrat I like the diversity of a city but its just a shit show right now. I have to learn Punjab to live here in the future. All the restaurants are becoming Indian restaurants. What a fuck is going on here.
I grew up in Brampton in the 80s and 90s. The furthest main road on the North end was Bovaird and South was Steeles, West was McLaughlin, and east was Airport. It has grown insanely in the past 20 years. The traffic became horrendous, and insurance rates were intolerable. I finally escaped in 2019 and don't miss Brampton one tiny little bit.
I grew up in Brampton also since 1969 (kindergarten), the 80s and 90s were definitely Brampton's best years. Brampton still wasn't too big but it had a big city feel to it in places, the party scene was great because Brampton was loaded with bars back then and there was never any trouble beyond the odd drunk picking a fight and getting thrown out, unlike now where it's not unusual to hear about someone getting shot or stabbed. I also escaped about the same time you did and don't miss it either.
I’m with you. Have been living here for four years so the kids could be close to family and also I made a promise to my spouse of taking care of my elderly in-laws. But once they’re gone, no more reason to stay. Family can hop on a car or plane to see us if they feel like and vice-versa. We’ll be much better off financially elsewhere.
I lived in Brampton from 1970 until 1992 and wanted out then. I can’t imagine what it looks and feels like now. Best wishes from beautiful (and spacious) Vancouver Island.👋🏻🙂
The driving! The insurance. Drivers are crazy crazy crazy. Scary driving. I won't ride my bike on roads. Worry about my kids. Yes it is hectic. Great video. 👍
Leaving brampton soon after 12 years, yes car insurance never gone down even though my drive to work is just 5 mins. Crazy insurance. Moving to Orillia. yay!!
Crazey East Indian descended young men, full of testrone driving - car racing- that is the main reason car insurance is extremely expensive in Brampton.
I moved up north after 25 years of Brampton (mid 90s) and our car insurance more than halved. I wonder why.... :P It wasn't terrible, but dear Lord, driving there is a circus at best.
Because you want move to a country. Scarborough is in the city. Next time make it Oranges vs Oranges. You compare Scarborough with North York Etobikoke or Sauga, not country like Stouffville.
As an Indian myself, I agree. Not just Indians but south Asians in general. Indians, Pakistanis, Sri Lankans, Bangladeshi and other countries in south Asia. People wanna move forward here for a better life but they don't wanna change themselves. Not Indians are like that. I'm from south and I don't like this small mindset of many folks especially from regions like Punjab, haryana and Gujarat.
I got the impression that Brampton was maybe becoming the Sikh capital of the GTA; Not that there's anything wrong with that, most people like their own to hang out with ?
@@rscott2247 Maybe it is the Sikh capital of gta. I found out in 2006-2008 people from Jane & Finch were moving to Brampton because stupid susan Fennell gave them discounts of up to 50k to move down here, why I didn't get that discount because I'm SIKH, I worked hard paid full price for my property which I purchased in 201_.
My reasons for leaving Brampton are expensive housing and car insurance rates. Other places are much better than Brampton anyway. I enjoyed your video!
Brampton is over populated, getting worse by the minute. Driving is nuts, insurance is ridiculous high. Car accidents every 2 mins, tow truck drivers sit at every intersection, cause they know drivers suck at Driving
Brampton property taxes are the same as Mississauga and when you are paying 1.5 Million for a house people are too busy working and do not have the time to talk or get to know each other.
Best regards on move. GTA including Brampton is not for weak hearted. Take care of your kid and stay safe. Jobs moving towards high Internet speed based.

the punjabi fights lmao
I think Mississauga is more preferable for Pakistanis like you. Brampton is preferred by Sikhs. You won't fit in Stouffville with a name like Jamal.

reason 1: Indians

reason 2: unaffordable.1.7 Million for a house that cost 500k in 2010 price appreciation is most out of GTA
