I liked all the points u made, especially when living in a high population city but, As someone who doesn't own an electric scooter i truly don't get the reason for buying one.... Entry level ones under 900$ seemed to b complete garbage & ones that have a 2000$ + price tag just seem ridiculous to me when u compare them to Electric Skateboards, Bikes and even bike conversion kits; heck i've seen used motorcycles go for 3000$or less! So the only reliable paved road Electric commuting scooters r between 900-1500 and for anything off-road capable you're looking at 1600-3000$?!? You could buy a Nice New bicycle and electric conversion kit with battery for 1100-1500$ and be able to go offroading. Buying a electric scooter over 3000$ IS DUMB because ur competing with pretty good electric bike at that point
Of course you like scooters because this is what your channel is about lol. No sane person will spend several grand on a scooter over a motorbike. Heck even a NIU moped costs less than this shit.
@@CyberOrganic most people walk at 3-4mph. So his walk was about 4 miles. Scooter goes 30-40mph. If he averages 20-25mph on scooter going 4 miles, that would take him 10-15 min.
If they could crank up security and anti theft measures on scooters that aren’t portable enough to bring into certain areas, I can definitely see them being the perfect commuters for urban and maybe even remote environments.
can't agree more, I bought an electric scooter for less than 400 dollars, it works really well to commute me, I don't have enough for a car, i've been saving up with my job, I got an electric scooter since I didn't want to bother my mom or friends for rides for hangouts and for work. The range of my scooter is 20 miles and it gets me to work, hangouts, then back home. solid, no gas, cheap, and works well
@@BirdWhisperer46 Yup, mine is till day still working! Though i'm only using it as a backup since I have upgraded this summer for a high performance electric scooter, the varla eagle one.
@@illuminaughty7957where do you leave e scooters when you go somewhere? There's a lot of crime in my country I would like to have it with myself if possible.
I just bought my first electric scooter and it has been the best purchase I’ve done this year, it’s fun, practical and really enjoyable. Now I just can’t stop riding it almost every day.
My mom got me an electric scooter for Christmas and it's amazing. I use it at my university. Instead of paying $100 for parking, I just use my scooter instead. If there's no traffic, I can get there in less than 5 minutes. I never leave it outside, it's small enough for me to fold and carry to class, even in my professors tiny office for my private music lessons. I ride it all over town, even downtown. I love everything about it. I just need to buy an extra battery to improve the range. It only costed my mom $300. I see everyone else having to rent scooters, so I'm happy I got my own.
I love my jetson quest, now that I've had it for 6 months I've totally fallen in love with it! While it is only a 250 watt, it still gets me around. I'm about 6 foot and 200 lbs, I can still get around town. I live in a mountous area and it still works. I do plan on upgrading to something bigger, say 500watt or so. They are a great 2nd vehicle to have, and way more fun! Btw, I'm in my 50's with heath issues.
@@firelord4662 people like you really don't get it. This is how people would talk to eachother back in, idk I guess 1990 makes sense to a 15 year old like yourself since you werent born. Maybe listen to some people older than 25 some day. Idk whoever you are but this guy literally just shared his personal story, you spent more time scrolling the comments than he probably spent to make this seemingly long post.
My reason: Im a student, Im broke, so I need to keep reoccurring costs to an absolute minimum so maintaining a car isnt viable. Also I have a side job that which I leave from at like 3am at some times, which is when public transport isnt going anywhere anymore until after 5am. And also just avoiding public transport altogether is a blessing... I would have had to wait for the train that ive used to take before and just rode off.
My escooter GUARANTEE'S me a $20 an hour job and I'm the BOSS!! About 20 years ago it was a gas upright scooter and I had the same job at $10 an hour. My new scooter/escooter helps me out even better and it is totally quiet and it does not pollute and stink I can ride with music quietly on, and man life is good again! 😃
You won't sweat using an ebike because you can use the throttle instead of pedaling. Their are folding ebikes that can be brought into an office. Scooters and ebikes can provide transportation without taking public transportation or using a car. Great presentation.
Awesome video man! I love it! I just started my journey by getting a Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11(I needed something extreme and reliable. This checked all the boxes. Also, I am 230lb 6ft 2in - So finding a scooter for someone who is heavier and body builds and wont choke....this one does it.) - I use it daily to go to and from work, the gym and around town with a backpack full of items! Absolutely a blast and a time saver! I'm glad people like you are creating videos like this to get the information out there! A lot of the issues I have are with people asking... "Why not just get a cheap car? That scooter is expensive" "Why not just get a bike, it's so much cheaper?" Questions like that. Well, I've found that the reason I got my scooter is because of all of your points above. Also, cars require a lot more than just simply getting in it and going. (Maintainence, tires, check ups, insurance and meeting road requirements, registration...etc...) - not to mention, traffic and time. Biggest things. Physical footprint of being in a car is absurd. Why would I want to waste my time sitting in traffic, getting gas all the time and doing all these things? Silliness. Plus, I have two cars already. I have a 2019 Shelby GT350 - turning on my V8 in the morning is EXPENSIVE and costs money. The only time I'd pull the Shelby out is really to go to the track. Again, see points above as to the reason why I don't care to drive my car unless I'm purely having fun. My CX5 does better, but again I see no point in driving that either unless I'm going on a long trip or picking up a lot of items. Getting a bike requires a lot more physical exertion which is not feasible to show up to work smelling like a wet dog and I don't really care about riding one. Especially after a long day of work, I'd rather just get on my Scooter and have fun on the way from work. I think anyone's life can be improved by adding joy in the simple moments. I got a scooter for me and if someone wants to be condescending about my personal choice and how I choose to spend my time and money.... screw them. Lol! Also, where are you driving at in @2:30? Looks like Australia. :D
Very good comment and I agree with you 100%, but your wolf warrior. How is it holding up and what top speed do you get with your weight? I weigh the same and need a fast scooter. Thank you! And nice car taste you got😉
Thank you for your comment, pal! That was a pleasure to read your story! The author is living at Utah, and he driving around his place and in remote areas.
Hello Everyone, just an update! I've since upgraded to a Wolf King - the experience is still the same and I have had no issues at all! Stay safe out there and have fun!
My friends with motorcycles worry about theft all the time and put locks every time since thieves use bolt cutters and angle grinders to take whatever they want. Scooter is a better option but price is crazy. If I could find one that does 40 mph and under $1700 that would be more reasonable.
I just got my Eagle One yesterday. My first scooter. I've been motorcycling for more than ten years and nearly 100k miles, but this is a whole different animal. I got it for the portability, though the weight and size of it does make it a little ungainly. Still, the thing is awesome. Years ago I had a commute from hell. I had to take Caltrain from San Jose to San Francisco. Then I rode my bicycle from the Caltrain station into downtown. The scooter would have been great for this. Actually, with lane splitting being legal for motorcycles in California, a motorcycle would have been even better, but at that time I hadn't yet started riding.
😁😁Nice encouraging man. Electric Scooters and bicycle is the most popular transportation out there. I've purchased one and I make my own modified scooters. Kids love it.
Good articulate, I agree with all your points. I’ll add one of my own, and that is combining walking with scooters, I.e. when you encounter lots of pedestrians just hop off walk 100 meters and start riding again, same for crossing the road. I have found this help to alleviate a bit of stiffness in my ageing muscles.
I do this too! Even to just not be annoying to the other pedestrians or crossing the street on a scooter while it should be a pedestrian only crosswalk.
I did an 8 mile ride on my Segway ninebot max a couple days ago. It’s the middle of the summer in Arizona. It was hot but bearable. I definitely don’t think I’d like to go much further than that on a normal ride though. My legs and feet were tired after that, I was also sunburnt. But that’s AZ extreme summer weather for you. I can’t wait to try out more long ride when it cools down.
Thank you very much. I've been thinking to buy an electric sccoter for about two months now, but I never decided myself over it. Now I see my favorite scooter on Sale and I said that I would take the change to buy it, but first I asked the question to myself : "Why would I buy an electric scooter?" Well, your video has just helped me to take the decision to go ahead with it. I am buying it today. Good luck with your channel. Yo won another subscriber!
You are a well spoken young man. I am one, favour for e-scooter. Love your presentation. You video should be shared to those who make policies on PEV in the city to see the benefits. Environmental friendly, reduced traffic and pollution.
I'd say if you charge them off a renewable (solar, wind, etc) they are environmentally friendly, but most people use grid power aka coal and gas. Less emissions than a car no doubt to your point, although I don't agree with most of the climate change presupposition anyway.
Nice one... I went from riding a 2013 ML350 Mercedes Benz to getting two e-scooters. Though I still have the car but I drive it now two times every month.... Riding the scooters has improved my lifestyle. Since I did, I will NEVER trade having a scooter to anything else. I've been able to go to places in my city and next cities... places I don't even know exist... riding scooter have not only made going around much easier for me, it has also IMPROVE my relationship with my girlfriend. How? We spend more time riding and going places that we would never have gone driving... .... I got one and I got here one. We take off every Saturday and ride until the batteries run down... toooo much fun. My first scooter I bought 6 months ago was Ninebot MAX... This is a fantastic scooter. Then 3 weeks ago, I bought Dualtron Ultra 2... Oh My God..... this is heaven. It's over 3k.... so when you said in the video that if you have 3k you will get a scooter... I totally agree 100%... They are the future transportation.....
Phenomenal video! When you were doing the math to help ascertain if owning a scooter outright is more practical, you forgot to factor in that when you rent them, you have to FIND them. And you don't always find one nearby. Whenever I'm scootering with my friends and they have to rent one, a fair amount of the day (depending on how big is your group) is wasted finding the scooters!
I bought a Mantis as well, base version for 1,500 US. My first electric scooter. I tried lime scooter and it felt fast but after getting used to the speed it felt slow at the end. I'm glad I bought a 40mph scooter as my first as I plan on keeping it for a long time. Can't wait to joy ride it every day. Should be shipping out tomorrow and arriving with in 3-5 days. I have watch a couple of your videos you get me even more hyped. Awesome riding, be safe.

I don't have a car but I bought electric scooter as well. Its super fun! I started with Segway ES4, now I have 8000w scooter with 80ah battery which is enough to go ANYWERE I want and get back with some battery charge still left. The value of these machines is amazing. And honestly I don't need a car anymore.
I started with a Ninebot MAX 3 months ago. About a week ago just picked up a Dualtron Thunder. Unexpected fun and well worth the price. I great up in motorcycle gear which people have made fun of me for but rather be safe than sorry. I generally never go much over 35 MPH but have give 47 in bursts
I hired a scooter on a trip to Valencia last summer, and had waaay more fun than someone my age (68) should be entitled to. Looked into getting one on my return to the UK, only to come up against a brick wall... the Law! I've moved to Spain permanently now, and while there are limitations (25kmph legal top speed), I can pretty much go anywhere I want legally. Ordered a Smartgyro Xtreme Speedway V 2.0, which will be here in a couple of days. 800W motor with a range up to 45Km. Speed is auto limited to the 25kmph legal, but it's software applied and easy to override up to 45kmph. This is going to be such a major boost to my quality of life as I live in a town with little public transport options (I don't drive). So many quiet, natural beaches within easy reach of the scooter, and the nearest train station which is 10Km away, for trips up to Valencia, where I can use it to get around. At 530 euros, it was a no-brainer, given its power and range. Buzzin' at the prospect
I rode sports bikes for a decade, some that were 215hp+. Sold the last one in 2018 for crypto, and just bought a 2000w apollo ghost with an upgraded, 32mah LG battery, so should be good for 75 miles in eco mode or 40 or so at around 30mph on flat. They seem tons of fun, can't wait to get it.
I bought an electric scooter because I work until late at night, 3 / 4 am The first bus home is at 5am My commute is 7.5 miles. On average I now get home at 3:30am instead of 5:45am I have saved more money not using the bus than my scooter cost now so its paid for itself.
I've had my zero 10x for almost two months now, I use it for pretty much everything now edit - it's the 52volt 23ah LG battery with zoom hydraulic brakes. upgrades include rugged stem clamp, DNM 36rc air shock and Kwheels steering damper. wear full gear and be safe everyone
I bought my scooter to commute to and from the library where I do online school. But, I find myself looking for any reason to get on my scooter now. I seriously love it. It is surprisingly fun. I thought Phoenix was too spread out but my scooter is a 40 mile range and I haven’t once experienced range anxiety. With 40 mile range, I know that if I forget to charge it over night, I’m safe at least for the next day.
I have the same scooter in the pro model. I use it a lot more than I thought I would. I can’t commute in it due to highway travel, but quick trips to the store are great.
I've thought about getting one of these for commuting if I end up with a job downtown. I see it as the perfect first/last mile (or even 4 miles) companion to the light rail/commuter trains, a reasonably fast and convenient vehicle I can easily bring with me. Bicycle is suitable in terms of speed, but dragging that onto the train is a hassle, something I can just bring to my seat is a lot easier. I would think of that as probably the biggest advantage of these, surprised it wasn't mentioned here.
2000 bucks can get you a scooter with a solid 40 miles total range, with average speed of 30 to 35mhp . You get your money worth within the first 6 to 7 months Just gotta do your research and pick the best at that price range
@@audemars_piguet13 To me that sounds like a hell of a lot more than I'd be willing to spend. And more capability, I'd be looking for just a few miles on either end of a train journey with less hassle than dragging my bicycle with me. Plus that one with 40 miles range would surely have a lot of batteries and thus be rather heavy, not well suited to what I have in mind. If I want to go that far or fast, I'll just ride my motorcycle (which I bought for far less than that). I'm sure there's something in a lower price range with maybe 10 miles range and 15mph top speed, and easily portable, that would be more suitable for what I'm thinking of.
My 7 mile commute to work is about 20-25min on my Segway-Ninebot Max (from Astoria Queens (NYC) to downtown Manhattan and I also have the Apollo Explore for fun best thing I ever did was get into Escooters save money on transportation gas and parking
That last reddit post was bonkers but this video is 100%. Its two years later now and scooters are just getting better and better and more and more people are switching to them for their commutes while keeping their cars because it's just so much fun. I love driving and going to track days and I have a LOT of fun with my cars but like the video says: There is nothing like riding a few inches off the ground going 40mph and I can't wait to not only ride my scooter home, but unwind from my day with a nice ride after work. I do hope that security features will improve as that is really the only issue I worry about.
As someone whose license gets suspended quite often (I’m not that bright I know), I find these better and more practical than a 50cc scooter (you don’t need a license to drive a 50cc on the road in texas). They go about just as fast, not as far, but i can get literally all the way across Fort Worth on my ninebot max and I’m allowed to take bike trails or ride the trinity river trails with it (can’t do that with a 50cc). So I can match speed of a 50, pay less for something that doesn’t require an oil change (or maintenance for that matter) and cost me about 2$ a year to charge.. kinda makes gas powered 50s obsolete in my opinion… I mean unless I’m grocery shopping then I pull out the Tao Tao (or take the car shhhhh)
I live about 1.5 miles from work, so it doesn’t make sense to drive my truck. Especially since I have to pay 120 a month for parking. Also, living in LA, gas is stupid expensive. By using my scooter I save almost 500 a month. It even that, I live right down the street, but due to traffic it takes 25 minutes just to get home which is ridiculous. Now it just takes about 5-10 minutes. Honestly considering selling my truck. It is nice to have when I need it though
Best reason we have found to have escooters is FUN! We have had electric bikes for some time but they just aren't as much fun as scooters. We are hardly the average scooter users as we are in our 60s but we love them!
I bought a RAZOR 300 about a year ago. The batteries were sealed lead acid and they lasted about 15 rides. I then bought 2 Lithium Ion batteries to replace the lead acid, tweaked the control board, put a more powerful motor on board and it goes like stink now as well as has good range. It gives me the latitude to go for minor grocery buys and just get around without burning gasoline. These things are a hoot. Here in Calgary, Alberta Canada you can ride them on the sidewalks as well as take them in the stores with you. It's a hoot.
Discovering this channel has been a godsend. Been doing some deep diving on these videos as i look into making my first scooter purchase. I need it for both work commuting and recreational use but I also don't wanna break the bank so it's been dope combing through the videos you've done testing various scooters and giving the pros and cons to each. Recently got a bike that I've been using as exercise on weekends but I figured a scooter may actually be the good middle ground that i need for the work days when j don't really wanna have to break a sweat to get to work
My car recently broke down (for like the 5th time but this time it really was in a bad condition) and I didn’t feel like paying 560$ to get it fixed so I decided to buy an electric scooter and wow, it is so much better! I’m so glad that I purchased one! I also save lots of money on gas!
I just ordered one. I already have an ebike I use for commuting but I don't like riding home in the afternoons in the winter with icy conditions, darkness and heavy traffic. The mornings are fine because I go so early there is no traffic. I plan to use the scooter through the winter, ride to work and fold it up to take the bus home. There is no transit when I go to work, it's an hour walk or a $22 cab ride so the scooter will pay for itself in what I'll save. There are only a few days each winter I wouldn't be able to ride it, basically just snow storms.
Just got my first scoot its a NIU 300w. Friggin love it! Can take it on the bus or skytrain here in Vancouver and go nearly anywhere. Get 50km on a charge
Great video! I went crazy and bought 3 scooters in 3 weeks. I live in NYC and am very proud to part of the E-Scooter and E-Bike community. I commute 24 miles round trip to/from work and it's great! Anything to stay off of the NYC subway. 🛴🛴🛴😃
Bro NYC ~ NOPE! No problem at all with the NYPD. I’ve been riding an electric bike for 10 years and have never been stopped or stared at. They never bother me on my scooters either. They don’t care! They’re legal. Buy your scooter, stay safe and have fun 🛴😎
@@NoProGoPronto Apollo Explore. I wound up going with Apollo based a lot on what I've read on the internet. They seemed to have a really good rep. Two days is hardly enough time to review it, but man what a step up from my first. Absolutely no comparison.
I just got mine on monday, went to work with it today for the first time. Same commute time as with the car, but way more fun and not a cent in gas, and zero pollution (lets say very negligible over the lifespan of the battery)
Team [SCOOTIGAN]. I’ve got Inokim OXO in New Zealand and find it very practical to use instead of the car. Even enough room on the deck to double my 10 year old son. I wouldn’t take him on the roads but we have a massive river path in our city which so good to take him on a cruise. Both wearing helmets and keeping the speed down fairly low, it’s great. Let me see you do that on a mountain bike
I bought my second scooter for the very same reasons you bought yours. It's a $1300 scooter with a 25mph and can travel 76 miles a day before needing any charging. I usually only need to charge it once a week on my days off work. Takes longer to charge the battery but it's well worth it.
The kind you obviously don't have and clearly if you did your research you wouldn't be asking these questions but I'll tell ya. First of all there are no such things as monsters. Lol no worries you'll learn this truth once you are 5 or 6 years old. It's a scooter that does exactly as I described in my first comment. Way better than my previous scooter that is on the same caliber as the one in the video and had a small battery. So they require daily charging if you use it daily.
My dad is thinking to buy one and i hope i can get one! Because they are so fun to ride and a joyride for sure! And i need it it because i buy groceries alone walking and it takes 15 minutes so i really need one so i am hoping i can get one!
I just found you from reddit. Keep going! If you continue your youtube career you are going to be HUUUGE. I don't know how you don't have atleast 1 million subs. I dont know what scooter to buy. It should be around 400-500 $
You'll want a scooter that has plenty of headroom in power cause later on you will be glad to use it. Rion RE60 costs around $4500 (with tax and shipping). That'll get you plenty of horsepower and you can whoop many cars on the street. When you buy it ask the seller to have holes pre-drilled so you can mount a seat... You can then later hook up a trailer to the seatpost of your scooter to haul big and heavy stuff. This almost totally eliminates the need for cars and you'll save $$$ for not paying gas and insurance.
Been watching your videos while I was waiting for my Mantis Pro to arrive. Your videos really inspire riding just for the fun of it and being a practical commuter vehicle. Just recieved yesterday, there was a mistake with the order so it only came with the base battery, getting a partial refund. Can't wait to ride to work and going for a scenic ride.
@@jeffreyschmidt3997 except over 2 months wait and they had shipped the base battery instead of the Pro battery. They ended up giving me a partial refund for the price difference but essentially i have a Mantis Pro with a base battery, which is essentially a Mantis Elite. @@justdeal the trade-off of buying from China, right. Do you feel like you still got a better deal than ordering from say fluid free ride? What will you do if you need service or warranty claim?
I use my eScooter a lot (I call it the Hoppabout/Shopabout) - it's great BUT on day 1 I took three tumbles. Realised it was because I was trying to stop as if I was on a bike - it is NOT the same, so practice, practice, practice and away you (safely) go. Happy travels.
Hello mate, I’m thinking of buying an Electric Scooter for commuting and yours at the start of the video looks perfect. Could you tell me what one it is please? I want one with a bit more speed than the standard 15mph?
I cannot agree more with your views on electric scooters. I purchased my first one nine months ago, the great Zero 9. And there months later I could not resist and I got a 3200 Watts Maike Kk4s. The reason for me was my daily commute, which on car was one hour to 90 minutes and with the electric scooter changed to 25 minutes. But the other benefits are just as fantastic as the time difference, like having fun on your ride, making some exercise, and relaxing. I can suggest you one little mod that will surely improve your ride, security and comfort for your hand. I found a twist throttle handle, on AliExpress, or eBay, I figured out how to connect it to the original trigger throttle, and it it just changed everything for me. It's by far the best improvement I can think of for an electric scooter. I just took off the internal Hall sensor from the display trigger throttle, and connected the wires of the twist throttle (which has the same Hall sensor inside) and that was all. The original trigger is not necessary any more.
I used to ride the Glion dolly which didn't go above 16mph and I still beat the time it took me to get to work by bus everyday. Now I have the Apollo Ghost... It's the most fun I ever had. I used to ride my ebike but it's much harder to store at work, and on the train. It's lighter if I get a flat and have to put it in the back of an Uber or if the elevators out and have to use the stairs.
At $395 for a 15.5 mph hold up to 330 lbs I'm 225 lbs only going a few miles and back to work I'm happy with my electric scooter max 30 miles is more than I need.. but later I want one that can go up to 25 mph or better later down the road
I bought the mini falcon, a Kickstarter scooter. Yeah it kind of sucks I'll admit it is not the best. But it's still very useful. These days I drive to a Walmart or similar parking lot, then break my scooter out to go where I need to. Sometimes it's hard to find parking for a car and it's good to have quick and easy mobility
Well you’ve convinced me, I searched for a scooter 🛴 while watching your vid so thank you 🙏. Epic advice. I’m disabled and can’t walk far, so it’s going to be ideal. A GUNAI 3200W scooter £1499 or Kugoo M4 £499 both on amazon. 💋
My recommendations are get the biggest wheels you can and the most range you can get. Big wheels iron out small bumps better, and greater range means less charges therefore longer battery life.
I've been riding my scooter to work for over 2 years now, I use my car on weekends to take the family out and thanks to that I use 1 tank every 3 months 🙃 💪
I got mine to commute and to be a secondary vehicle in case my truck breaks down like it is now. Also I got one because in Oregon you don't need to register, or insure it, or have a motorcycle license if it has less than 1000W motor and can only reach either 24 or 26 MPH. I ended up with getting a Hiboy S2 Pro because the roads here aren't great and those solid tires I think in the end would be better. I enjoy vehicles with 2 wheels, having an electric scooter just makes sense for everyone. Yet when I ride my scooter I do get questions sometimes about it and how it works. I tell em to not get one with only an Electric brake and to wear a helmet. I had a bad crash bout 3 weeks ago and messed my scooter up bad and I was wearing a helmet and it protected my head, not my nose though. I would recommend anyone get one.
Very well put never thought of breaking it down from renter's but the way you put it 👍 is so true and towards the end it inexperienced that think it's easy-to-use again Very well put. And if you have mobility issues such as I it's a great way to get around
I now use my scooter more for commuting to work and back. I use my car once a week (groceries and such). I get to work totally pumped and when going home, its always the long way home. Unless I have to beat a thunderstorm. Amazingly fun rides. And.... no gas.
So I just bought an apartment and now I've a 6km trip to take from home to the train station and another 6km trip into work so needless to say I bought an escooter today fingers crossed my commute goes well 😂
My reason - I'm handicapped and recently cycling has become too hard for me (I can still cycle around 2-5km, but it becomes increasingly difficult after 1,5km) and when I get off a bicycle, I can hardly walk for a while. Getting off bike is hard too, sometimes I have to put it on ground completely and then almost crawl over it on all four. So I got myself an e-scooter with a seat. Besides if I use it for commuting, it will save me around 100 Euros per month on fuel. Until now I carried a kick-scooter with me in a car as a lifeboat - if I stop and have to walk somewhere for more than 500 metres, now I'll replace it with an e-scooter, as using kick-scooter also has become too hard recently, especially on uneven ground, cracks and slopes.
Electric scooters are a great solution if you trust the mentality of drivers you're sharing the road with. In Europe, drivers are impatient and reckless and would have no problem makeing a right turn right in front of you. It's this "I am bigger than you" mindset.
Also, when people make turns right in front of you, giving you absolutely no time to react, and it happens almost every day I ride, how is this entitlement? God! I wish I had video to show you what I've been through. How could you contol a driver making a left turn in front of you, causing you to grind the pavement or crash into the idiot driver. You can't!
I love gas powerd vehicles but after buying a escooter i loved it would bs more fun but also commute to stores to work also its realy that fun i started off with a 350 watt scooter and shifted to a 1000 watt and its so fun just the torque and speed quiete makes it nore different feeling
I recently picked up an electric scooter. My wife is an over the road truck driver, and I thought it might work for her to keep in her truck, and let her avoid paying $100 to visit Walmart by Uber. The thing's too heavy to reasonably be lifted up into, and taken down from, the inside of her truck, however. As a result, it became a new toy for me. I took it on about a 13 mile round trip to the beach the other day.
Great vid. Why scooters though? Other forms of electric PEVs share the same benefits you mentioned. What do scooters have over something like an ebike, euc, skate? I went for an esk8 for almost the exact reasons you mentioned (low maintenance, saves money and time on commutes, fun). I definitely would love to try an e-scooter at some point though.
In a city, a scooter might be easier for people to store, or for people going to and from work it might be easier to store and not worry about theft. A bike might be hard to bring around if a big apartment complex unless they offer storage for residents to store bikes. Scooter can just be folded and brought around everywhere so its easy to bring up to your apartment and store it, and at work you could just fold it and store it.

WHY NOT SPEND THE SAME CASH ON AN EBIKE?
I liked all the points u made, especially when living in a high population city but,
As someone who doesn't own an electric scooter i truly don't get the reason for buying one....
Changed my commute in NYC from a roughly 1 hour sweaty walk to a 15 min joy ride.
1 hour to 15 minutes, how? You would have to be on a highway going at top speed.

can't agree more, I bought an electric scooter for less than 400 dollars, it works really well to commute me, I don't have enough for a car, i've been saving up with my job, I got an electric scooter since I didn't want to bother my mom or friends for rides for hangouts and for work. The range of my scooter is 20 miles and it gets me to work, hangouts, then back home. solid, no gas, cheap, and works well

I had a go on my friend's shitty aovo pro m365 a couple weeks ago. I instantly fell in love and am getting my mantis tomorrow

My reason: Im a student, Im broke, so I need to keep reoccurring costs to an absolute minimum so maintaining a car isnt viable. Also I have a side job that which I leave from at like 3am at some times, which is when public transport isnt going anywhere anymore until after 5am.
That scooter is expensive"
"Why not just get a bike, it's so much cheaper?"
Questions like that.

I'm sending you a virtual hug. Thanks!
Agree with everything you said, e-scooters are a transport evolution game changer. I purchased a Dualtron Storm lives up to the hype and loving it.
Beast of a scooter you have there. Enjoy it
😁😁Nice encouraging man.
The 2000w scooters weigh 60 to 80lbs though, not sure I want to carry that even 100m

I bought an electric scooter because I work until late at night, 3 / 4 am
The first bus home is at 5am
My commute is 7.5 miles.
On average I now get home at 3:30am instead of 5:45am
I have saved more money not using the bus than my scooter cost now so its paid for itself.
I've had my zero 10x for almost two months now, I use it for pretty much everything now

How much is your whip for 40 miles?
I liked how you explained different factors involved in making a decision to buy a scooter. not boring at all. well done
I have the same scooter in the pro model. I use it a lot more than I thought I would. I can’t commute in it due to highway travel, but quick trips to the store are great.
Electric scooters has become so popular the last couple of years. The only problem is that there’s aren’t too many scooter repair shop shop yet.
Sounds like a business idea
You get your money worth within the first 6 to 7 months
Just gotta do your research and pick the best at that price range
I get my first e-scooter 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love it! My Kaabo mantis 10 pro and already done it 450 miles 😁😁😁😁

I commute every day on an Apollo Ghost. Best decision I have ever made. The joy it brings me to drive it has also improved my quality of life.

Do you mean a E300?

Good job buddy. I'm in the process of getting one myself - lots of research to do first.
Was just in Geneva and now in Florence and everyone uses scooters, I so wish NY could be this way.
What kind is it
what kind of monster it would be, 76 mil/day, 5 day of work, 380 mil per charge? lol
I just ordered a 60V 36ah 5600w dual motor scooter this may be too much power for a first time rider but it should be exciting.
It's more than you'll ever need lol, but it's a lot of fun.

@@rockefelleragent1357 That's terrible advice, for someone that wants to buy a 500 dollar scooter.. lol
@@NRGZ28 For $5500 more you can get a quad motor powered 14,000w electric scooter that has quad brakes and beefier shocks and will go 70- 75 mph
I was humming and hawing, but you helped me decide to buy! Thank you!
Where did you buy your Mantis?
@@jake90770 bought from AliExpress. Here's the link, it took 2 months to arrive

@@justdeal any problems with buying from them?
@@jeffreyschmidt3997 except over 2 months wait and they had shipped the base battery instead of the Pro battery. They ended up giving me a partial refund for the price difference but essentially i have a Mantis Pro with a base battery, which is essentially a Mantis Elite. I'd of course prefer the larger battery but wasn't going to wait another 2 months
I'm gonna do it I am buying a scooter for commuting I'm researching
Hello mate, I’m thinking of buying an Electric Scooter for commuting and yours at the start of the video looks perfect. Could you tell me what one it is please? I want one with a bit more speed than the standard 15mph?
How long have you been riding scooters?
Thanks!
I got my electric scooters because it’s the quickest transportation and it’s like a breather to get the fresh breeze when riding 👌🏼
Thanks for the feedback and recommendation!
I def think relieving stress and being able to ride wherever cars can't gain access, I have the 2020 emove cruiser.
Admin is true. It is not e-scooter fault. The wrong thing is people. Respect and ride safely.
At $395 for a 15.5 mph hold up to 330 lbs I'm 225 lbs only going a few miles and back to work I'm happy with my electric scooter max 30 miles is more than I need.. but later I want one that can go up to 25 mph or better later down the road
Well done! A great introduction to what e-scooters are all about...
Well done. You covered many areas that someone who is undecided (not me i got mine) could use to make up their minds. To those people I say buy one.
What a Review !! BRAVO & thanks :)
Your video is interesting and fun because you use logic! Thank you and always have a good drive!
very cool video I was just wondering what scooter you where using for most of the background clips
Very well explained, thanks. Just bought and Laotie ti30, and sold the car. Since a live in a city, i took the risk.
And.... no gas.
Waaw what a video you honestly impressed me and made me learn so much in like 8 minutes. Thank you so much
Just bought my 1s from Xiaomi. Super happy, Will squeze all of it's Juice and move to a better One.
@Jordan You obviously don't live where I live, but you're entitled to your own opinion.
You can't!
I have no problems with a fast scooter because it’s safer to ride in the lane with the cars.
I love gas powerd vehicles but after buying a escooter i loved it would bs more fun but also commute to stores to work also its realy that fun i started off with a 350 watt scooter and shifted to a 1000 watt and its so fun just the torque and speed quiete makes it nore different feeling
I use my electric mountain bike in heavy snow i plan to use my scooter for summer
And there sick😎
