I actually thought about putting him on here. but I hated him tbh. It was so painful to play against when he got his dragon. I might make a part two 🤷🏾♂️🙈
I don’t think it was a weird meta pick. His rework was intended to be played at bot lane. Riot wanted to experiment with melee carriers on bot.
AP yi, tank victor/ekko, Smite AP Ezreal mid, all of those on the other hand were not intended to be played like that at all.
Everyone knows about it, no need to do another video about it, i liked what was in that one
I think you forgot to mention the other massive reason that tank viktor top was strong, he abused the at the time busted, SHIELD BASH. As his q would give him a shield, then he'd sheen proc shield bash you for crazy dmg with tank stats.
@@SekiYuriFFXIV yeahhh, shield bash was super strong at the time. I completely forgot. Prob cause we still have it in the game. Whoopsies 🙈
@@Sitback Yeah no worries, also surprised that while you mentioned Alex Ich you didn't mention the pick that he was known for that was also a weird meta pick. With that being Kha'zix mid lane.
@@SekiYuriFFXIV I didn't put him on the list because I don't feel like kha zix mid is weird to me cause kha zix was a solo laner for the first season of his release. That was just the meta 🤷🏾♂️
Shield bash didn’t exist until the end of season 8. It was added only at patch 8.23
@laersonverissimo1715 Yeah, it was added in early November, and tank viktor top started to take off in late October, so they aligned and were strong together.
lmao i was hoping jungle ezreal would get into this, i recall q popping so many people in lane as jungle ezreal it was such a unique meta.
Back in the day I lived with my parents and we had a terrible internet. (As soon someone watched something on RUclips my Ping went to 200ish)
That's when my boy ap yi came in handy. Farm until 1-2 items and then go for your easy kills with Q and W to heal up
@@MrFufor I know man, the one thing about AP master yi unlike any other carry. If you got one kill, everyone else is going to die 😭
The main reason why tank Viktor was a thing was because his Q shield had a mana ratio, the pick was truly killed when that was removed and building manatank items (FroHeart, Abyssal) didn’t also make your shield fatter
real Gigachads played old GP mid with Runeglaive. it wasnt nearly as much of a strong and serious pick as Ezreal but it was fun as fuck. i miss the goofy shit from back then

Blue Ezreal was my go to build. also miss Ap Yi. i remember seeing it for the first time and i was very confused but i soon realized me and my friends made a mistake letting him get fed because we got absolutely obliterated in every team fight with him around lol God the good old days of Flawed but fun league times

IBG Viktor and On-hit Neeko was a fun time to play top. Would have been even better if my jungles hadn't thought I was trolling half the time because they couldn't keep up with the meta for shit.
