In this wood carving video I show how I carved this life sized Brookie out a piece of Box Elder wood and painted it using a combination of hand painting and airbrush. I also show you a little bit about my day to day life and the wildlife in my yard.

I popped this video on and quickly went to the other room to grab a drink. On my way back, I heard the music and a man's deep voice saying "I like having the wild critters around, so I try to keep some bird seed in the feeder for 'em" and could have sworn I was hearing the great Bob Ross! 😂 I'm so glad this comment exists and it wasn't just me.

Absolutely beautiful. I’m a woodcarver as well, it’s really nice to see someone else’s work being done. I tend to just see what I do and the guy that taught me. We mostly do six to eight foot redwood sculptures of people and make big dining tables. When you do the same type of thing for to long you forget what else is out there.

Hi Mike you surely do things my, I 2 am a carver of many years I actually started back in 7th grade they had wood shop and I fell in love with it. I go to the woods to find my sticks I mainly carve madrona maple and willows. Mahogany and bass wood when I do a guitar or a rolling pin . You sir are a master painter you make them carvings come to life.

Beautiful Rainbow Trout. Looks real. You captured every nuance. They are the most beautiful fresh water fish. Seeing them in crystal clear mountain streams is quite an experience but wading into the water and having them swim around your legs gives you a new outlook on conservation.

Wow! This is beautifully done. As I'm getting older, I have been thinking about getting into wood carving, trout carving to be exact. I'm a avid fly fisherman, caught and released many beautiful trout in my life time. I would like to bring them back to life by carving them. Thank you for uploading a great video.
