That's why he brought in Von Miller, which made a huge impact until he went down. Miller made the guys around him better, and if it weren't for the fact that the Bills entire defense and backup defense were injured, I think that this season would have turned out very differently. Hell, the defense kept the offense in half the games they lost despite the injuries!
I seriously hope that Bobby Babich, who has been successful as the line backers coach, along with Von Miller farther removed from the injury, can help tighten things up in that regard!

@@minuano08 Looking back, I wish we had just forfeited the Jacksonville game. It was a complete disaster, injuring several players due to atrocious field conditions just because the NFL wants to get even richer by expanding the market overseas. I would love to see the NFL go international, but not at the expense of player health and safety. They were playing on concrete with a thin astroturf layer, which could have potentially ruined Matt Milano's career, alongside other players. I sincerely hope that teams boycott playing under those conditions in the future, as it cost this team its season. If literally one of the Bills starting linebackers or cornerbacks were available for that Kansas City game, we win hands down. Hell, we only lost due to missed field goals, despite our duct taped together defense.
The example I like to point to of how good the Bills defense was is the Miami game in week four. Coming off of a 70 point game, the Dolphins threw their best at the Bills, who stopped them four times on fourth down conversions, and on a couple of two point tries. That was outstanding, and probably the second best all around game I have seen the Bills play, with the first being the wildcard round game against the Patriots a couple years back!

They're nothing alike as players. Gabe just got over hyped because of that playoff game. He never really got better or worse as a player. He's just extremely limited in the role they asked him to fill in buffalo's offense. Shakir can play inside or out, but will probably see the majority of his snaps in the slot, where he'll be covered by nickel CBs or LBs. He won't be the main guy commanding attention from defenses. Kincaid is going to be the focal point of the offense. Shakir won't likely even break 100 targets. He'll be completely fine.😊

And then their fanbase would be absolutely ripping them apart for doubling a dude like him in the first place, etc, so no, whatever extra effort teams put in, they'd pay elsewhere. Shakir is gonna eat no matter what now.
So is Samuel, Kincaid, Knox, Cook, Hollins hell, possibly even Claypool. Everyone, pretty much. Josh finally has a real legitimate blend of size/speed/talent/versatility/numbers for once, that call me optimistic, ...but this team is going to be a true menace this year. Oh yeah. With man coverage, there should be no receiver that is designated to get the ball first as assigned or designed by the play… Man coverage should allow the quarterback at the line of scrimmage to be able to read the DB and the coverage scheme, and at that point, select a first choice receiver… the problem was Diggs .. plays were designed for digs in men coverage and he didn’t perform well enough….. in other words, in man coverage, any receiver could be designated as first read……. And that’s all on Allen… 100% on Allen…. my question is, does he have the brains for it?….. with poor first read stats in the past, shows, he does not necessarily have the brains for it…..
It should be so much easier for the quarterback to throw to a receiver in man coverage than in zone.. The QB can see the matchup with each receiver. He knows the DB talents, he sees his positioning… he can readily see whether or not that route by his WR, will have the best opportunity for success. what makes the quarterback a GOAT, is the ability to read that very thing.. Montana Brady Mahomes, all have that great read defense ability….. along with accuracy. At this point in time ,I don’t see it in Allen, and is not up to par with them.. and actually , a great bit of separation. Being smart separates the Greats from the pack…
