I like the Big 10 style of marching, but the WMU band was far better musically.
I've always like there marching style there are definitely one of a kind.
At 1:14, why are the trombones holding their instruments by the bells instead of the normal way?
More stability for us that way
Meanwhile, the junior high school drum and bugle corps from Western MI retreats from the field in shear embarrassment.
Am I the only person who finds how they march odd?
TheSwedishParadox, It's just a different type of marching style called high-step. It does look a it odd but when they practice a lot and everyone does it the same, it looks really good!

It’s basically a much more physically demanding version of normal big ten style
