I experienced this when I was 8 years old watching my dad who was a painter and decorator cutting wall paper. I am now 53 and have just found out what it was I was feeling. Amazed that it is so wide spread. Thank you for the very informative video.

he's one of the few who puts so much care into what he is doing, the audio levels are near perfect. also he always listens to his own sounds he's creating, leaning in. this level of care alone is giving me asmr..

I didn't even know this was a thing, but as soon as I saw a "Did You Know" post on Facebook describing ASMR, I knew immediately what it was because I get it from old, crinkly bible pages...you know those really thin pages in old bibles...I used to open mine up and not read, but just turn the pages because I just LOVED the way sound made me feel...it's cool to know there's a name for what I was feeling :) I really liked the tapping, crinkling, and scratching sounds on here.

Dimitri is the humblest, best ASMR guy and youtube video guy! One of the only youtubers that doesn't ask for likes and subscribes. He doesn't ask for subscribes, he doesn't need to..let the asmr speak for itself and he did.. And look half a million subscribers! That's the way to do it man! Awesome job!

Dmitri, your "unintentional" videos are the best. Like the ones you talk about your trips, your IT work, cleaning your camera, etc. That's the best ASMR I get. And I get ASMR from all of your work.
Another camera cleaning video would be beautiful!

So crazy how easy things trigger me. I remember i had my first ASMR trigger in 5th grade when the teacher had us fold paper to make name tags out of them and told everyone to whisper if they wanted to talk. I stood there and just saw people folding paper and whispering but it made me feel so tingly and relaxed. 10 years later here I am subscribed to so many ASMR artists. Thank you!!

Cosmic/Bio Energy Therapy/Healing, Hypnosis on others, Water Spraying, and Haircut/Scissor Sounds were among my original ASMR triggers. Because of you Dmitri, I now like some scratching and tapping sounds along with ASMR role-playing as well.
I always knew I felt tingles from having my dad scratch my cheek with a credit card when I was a kid, massages I have received, and thinking about certain exciting/happy things. However, I noticed I felt relaxed from watching someone draw particularly and focusing on detail, which I thought it was weird at first. Because of this, I began watching relaxing videos and stumbled across ASMR and thus you.
Thank you for what you do. You help me get relaxed to get to sleep.

Okay I got inspired to make this list. These are my top 10 favorite asmr trigger sounds. The lower numbers are my top top favorites, but other than that they are in no particular order. My favorite videos are ones with a combination of soft speaking or whispering with crinkling/tapping/etc. That's why Dimitri is one of my favorites. The sound quality of his videos is also particularly excellent compared to others. Also, his voice is relaxing and in my opinion he has the best tapping skills.
    1. Ear to ear whispering.
    2. Crinkling plastic
    3. Wood tapping
    4. Spray bottles
    5. Breathy sounds (especially inhaling)
    6. Water sounds
    7. Beer fizzing
    8. Buzzing sounds (like a hair trimmer)
    9. Leather sounds
    10. Mouth sounds

I remember my first asmr trigger. I was quite young, and I was watching elmos world. And there was a segment that would come on once and a while where this little black girl would draw with crayons on thick craft paper, so those sounds, mixed with her breathing and quiet talking caused me to have a lot of tingles. But I was maybe 6 at the time, I didn't know what it was lol

My first asmr experience (way before I knew what it was) but I still remember it to this day. I was around 4 and a friend of mine (female) who was 5 was helping me count some pennies that I had in my piggy bank. Well she started counting in a whispered voice and all of a sudden I got these tingles. I remember asking her to count them again. Lol but that was it. I'm 48 years old and still get triggers mostly from soft sounding voices. I can also get triggers without sound. I have been putting gas in my car and the person in front of me will start washing the windows on their car using the squeegee thingy. Well I can't hear anything but just watching them can bring on tingles. Or someone explaining a recipe to me works too.

You, Whispered_Stories , and thatASMRchick are the best at the barely audible whispering. Love it.

2:14 Me personally, I clapped when I watched this video. It's exactly what I expected to see, but in a completely original and subversive way. Very cool.

I love this series, its relaxing to listen to and its informal too. Hope there is more to come.

ASMR Radio, brought to you by Relaxation, the makers of "...Aaah."
But seriously, great video. I got the tingles just listening to you talk.

My unintentional asmr moment is everytime around christmas. I go shopping and after the cashing there is a gift wrapping and while i watch someine wrapping up those presents im all tingly and sort of sleepy in the head and i could keep watching that looong time. Also sometimes when someone do arts and crafts i get thse asmr moments, it's nice but happends sadly not so usually. :)
