Absolutely, don’t know if you’ve been up to Catterick but there’s loads of de-mobbed Gurkhas up there still, always impeccably dressed (regimental ties etc), always impeccably polite, and nobody gives them any trouble whatsoever because of their (well deserved) reputation
They’ve stopped barroom punch-ups between other units before by just standing up in the middle of a drunken ruckus going on (think Drederick Tatum’s prison scene in the Simpsons if you’ve seen that 😂😂) I’m glad they’re recognised. And Ayo Gorkhali to you too ❤

Top notch soldiers. Lived for a couple of years as a youngster in Kluang garrison surround by Gurkha soldiers and families and went to school with some of their kids. Didn't realize then I would have the opportunity to serve alongside them later in life. Good soldiers, good human beings and all round great blokes.

It would be nice to see these march in London, along with the veterans in full uniform at the September protest. The police would back off. Love the Ghurkhas'

in the Falklands war, the Argentinians were terrified of having to meet the Gurkha regiment (who were there), they knew about the weapon they call .. . 'KUKRI' and it's legend that if it is drawn it has to be used. the Argies surrendered before the Gurkhas were to findthem in the hills...sensible lads.
