Tim "Shmee" Burton ( / shmee150 ) didn't buy a McLaren Senna to sit and look at it. He wanted to use it as it was intended. That meant taking it to the Nurburgring. But could make it the fastest Senna ever around the track?

Sir, I didn't get a chance to respond to your video yesterday, so I want to say that you were always humble and respectful of the record you held. Now that someone has surpassed it, you are still all that and gracious in accepting the new record. Qualities like these are to be admired by all and should be the standard that we all should aspire to be. I believe you have lived up to the vision of what Brock Yates had in mind for what the "Fraternity of Lunatics" is meant to be.
I'm sure it gives you the fuel to get back at it, and take back the title. Knowing you, you probably already have a plan. Good luck.

@@chris681975 Better than nothing. Besides he's not a professional race driver. And also considering that it's his car, obviously he would be be cautious and a bit nervous pushing it too hard. And yeah like the comment above, there are a number of Sennas which have caught fire but I think that's still slightly on the lower end of his. I think the main reason is that he's just too nervous to push it too hard.

Probably not. It's used a lot for non car events. Popular bike course. Supposedly horribly tough due to the altitude differences.

I read senna as Sentra and I thought this was going to be much funnier.
I don't watch many of the bigger channels, but Shmee is by far one of the loyal ones I follow; simply because he's quite interactive with his audience, and quite willing it appears to me to provide helpful advice to anyone. I dig that he's a regular guy, at least as it appears.
Yeah I met him just after he crashed his senna, but he was really friendly and willing to chat about it and seems like just a cool guy

@@EdBolian would you ever decide to rerun it, there is a cheat code for internal combustion engine efficiency, its called absorption intercooling, you get significantly more power and torque, rev higher, less emissions and with less fuel, the patent is under review for a couple OEMs but i could send you a sample "for test and review", in its most reliable forms the system has no moving parts, no electronics, nothing, you don't even need a tune unless you want to optimize it, the charge air is cooled to less than ambiant temp increasing every measurable parameter, its like running with -20 intake temp in 80 degrees weather

Tim is probably the most likeable personality on the automotive side of RUclips, I also have huge respect that he actually uses his cars and shares it with us! Keep up the great content!
Likeable? I would call him cringy. No offense to the guy, he just seems a bit too awkward for me to watch, especially around other people. Look at Mr. JWW, for example. He just oozes confidence and is always so relaxed when interacting with guests in his videos. He is also a much much better driver than Shmee.
Nothing against him but he just rubs me the wrong way. Makes me cringe when he says Shmee and he wears douchetastic pink shorts. But hey more power to him for getting famous and driving cars we all wish we had.

Well it's easy to have this sort of outlook when you have that kind of money. A lot of stress from day to day life come from financial issues in a way or another.

Props to Tim for the balls to race a 2 M car on the Nordschleife! I think the Senna is the only "hyper car" (for its cost) to really being capable on the circuit, unfortunately not everybody wants the responsibility
to full send a something that pricey and probably we will never see a professional driving it but I'm glad someone tried it!

It happens with almost every channel that gets big. A good portion of the comment section is devoted to wondering and guessing where Tim got his money. It's none of their damn business. I thought this was about cars. When I was a kid it was considered a major social misstep to talk about other people's money. Now people feel entitled to anything and very thing.

On Touristenfahrten-Days, the Nürburgring is considered a public road, and as such, passing is only allowed on the left. Not too big a deal much of the time, but as Schmee mentions, there are often all kinds of people on the track from semi-professional race car drivers in all out track day cars to families with mom, pop, grandma and granddad and 3 kids in the family mini-van. If it's crowded (Easter weekend, omg!) I'd stick to driving semi-sedately, enjoying the scenery, and passing on the left. Doing major damage to a Senna is a disturbing thought. You can make that thought much worse by adding three deaths in a mini-van.

He was right in saying that all of his cars surviving unscathed was the biggest win. The Nurburgring eats cars alive. BMW,Porsche, and other car makers smile at that track as job security.

I'll say that shmee's youtube videos annoy me a decent bit cuz he seemed to inflate his personality a bit much for my liking, but here hes really damn interesting just as everyone else who comes on is. He foesnt have any fake excitement, just a guy telling a story. Good stuff!

Julian Castineira I have a 2016 Yamaha r1m track bike. Which is fun around the track. I’ve tracked that bike a lot. Know matter what you drive, is all that’s why we are here with viniwiki. No need to be a pretentious asshole.

@@richboy900 Very hard to be sure- i've just not seen good data for the Caparo T1 but I doubt it. Ultima Evolution is technically a road car so perhaps...
Sorry to impede your expectations of what a supercar is Tim..........but a Lotus would of taken you on any bend or corner.............never take anything for granted :-)
