  • Could 2024 Spell The End For Realtors? Technology is significantly transforming the real estate industry by streamlining many tasks that realtors traditionally handle. However, it is not expected to replace real estate agents entirely. Here are some key points:
Efficiency and Support: Technology can automate routine tasks, such as scheduling, data management, and initial client interactions, allowing realtors to focus more on personal interactions and negotiations with clients.
Enhanced Services: Tools like AI and big data analytics can provide agents with valuable insights and data, improving their ability to serve clients better. This enhances the quality of service but does not replace the human element agents provide.
Human Element: The real estate process often involves complex negotiations, emotional decisions, and personalized service, which technology alone cannot fully replicate. The human touch remains crucial in building trust and understanding clients' unique needs.
Complementary Role: Instead of replacing realtors, technology serves as a complementary tool that enhances their capabilities and efficiency, allowing them to provide a higher level of service.
In conclusion, while technology is reshaping the real estate industry, real estate agents will continue to play a vital role due to the irreplaceable human element they bring to the table.

Wait! if they go away who will get paid 45k to open a lock box and tell me it has 3 and 2....

Professional real estate agents will never go away. The professional realtor ( not the door opener or order takers) will always figure it out, they will adapt to the change and thrive, while the rest will simply disappear.

I believe what needs to change is the % model versus the flat fee or fee for each service. Pay a rate for the service and experience. I dont see why the same transaction pays out $3000 each realtor for a $100k transaction versus $15,000 each for a $500k property. The process is mostly the same. This is the transparency....not moving the % from MLS to concession.

That kind of sounds like a good idea. Thank you for commenting.
