I have a 68 Fastback i'm putting back together. 2 years in almost done. The very little money thing worries me. I hope you come into some dough or it will turn into a conversation piece. I'm sure you will be cruzin soon. Good luck.
please dont give up on it, i have a 67 coupe in just a little better condition and i can only put so much money into it at a time and its going slow. Keep it up you deserve to enjoy it!!!
I am restoring my 1967 mustang. I am 40 and my mom bought this car new. I learned how to drive in this mustang starting at about 5-years old on my mom's lap. To restore a car like this, even if you do most of the work yourself will cost you about 25,000.00 dollars. If you don't have 25,000.00 to spend on a restore and years of spair time, I would stop right there and sell it to someone that can. "If the work isn't done perfect and in the right order you may as well burn the money."
I'm planning on restoring it.I just got it running and have to finish the brake lines so I can move it.I have very little money so I'm going very slow.
Hey, how far are you now? Wish you a lot of luck with that beauty... and drive it, let the car be what it's supposed to be, a fun machine. Don't let it just stand around and gather dust...
Pay no attention to the naysayers. I have a 67 fastback 6 cylinder I have owned for 33 years. It has 498000 miles on it with original block, carb and distributor. It is very solid but It looks like a piece of junk.but people try to buy it all the time. It makes the 100 mile round trip to the beach every week.Plus a 9 foot surfboard fits inside. One suggestion. Put disc brakes on the front and a V8 rear in also. The 9 inch drum brakes will get you killed.I drove mine for 30 years with drum brakes.
after working on my 67 for a couple years, i have to say....I have WAY rust then you. I heard michigan sucks for old cars but that SUUCKS sorry to see that. I assume your going to strip it down pretty far and rebuild almost everything, right? awesome video. hope to see more of them.
the only cars i would drive by ford would be the de tomaso pantera, any mustang made BEFORE1974,the gran torino, the ford gt,and ant 57,61,62,and 63 t-bird
Someone who has the deep pockets and knows what they're doing and how to do it needs to make you an offer you can't refuse. You're beyond a "preservation" This can needs a complete teardown and rebuild with fresh metal. Simply cutting rust and patching it on this car is a crime!
the best thing you can do is hang on to that car and just do a little at a time !! Very nice project. she will be a gem. Jeff
Good luck on tha resto. I should be picking up a 67 fastback project here soon too!
brings a tear to my eye

Potential
sorry to correct you but its not a v6 its called a straight 6 or I6 for inline 6
No I have a 67 coupe in worse condition than that and as long as you have the materials and supplies and skills you can get that thing perfect at 6k
It looks like shit but still is fucking awesome! Im getting my own 68 next week! Cant wait!
I'm pretty sure every company designs their vehicles to be driven to the ground, you wont buy a new one, or new parts, if they lasted forever...
WOW!!!! a 67 fast-back,6 cylinder !!! Do you realize-how RARE,,this car is!!???? 99.9 percent,of ALL 67 fastbacks,were V-8"s !!!!
you need a V8
