OMG, you must have some balls to take on something that looks like it's got a one way ticket to the big scrap yard in the sky, you fucking genius! You've done a master class project.
People who can use a torch and do metal work are doing amazing things with these old rusted out mustang remnants. Bet NOBODY in Ford Headquarters back in 1965 dreamed that in 2020 people would be pulling these things out of junkyards, barns and such and rebuilding them as good as new! And people doing this are ending up with, essentially, a brand new "old" mustang. And all of the jobs that have been created for "new parts" for these old mustangs! A win-win.
You are one heck of a fabricator. Basically u built that tang from the ground up. Can't hardly believe my eyes. God bless people like u that save these old gems from extinction...A labor of love for sure.
This is incredible. Something that so many would (and clearly did) ignore as too far gone, too hard and not worth bothering with. There is immense honour in bringing a all but dead classic back to life and you should feel very proud!! 49 people are not true believers. Thanks for the inspiration you have given me to get back to my neglected projects.
Please please I need to watch the whole video process and steps even if it will take me 26 months to watch it.. Seeing a rescue car process is my bread and butter. I admire you piece of art extremely higher than anything I've seen so far. I am ready to work for you for free just for the sake to enjoy looking at your magic! Yes magic what you did. Bless your heart. Respect all the way Sir.
It's guys like you that keep the spirit of these classics alive. Makes you wonder how the many cars you see end up in a field, forest, or lake got there to begin with.
I don't think anything has made me grin so much as watching the progression of you taking a classic car rotting away to nothing and making it as good as the day it rolled out of the factory. Great work, man- really good stuff.
What is amazing is that these american restorers beguin from a car picket up from the garbage, this is their biggest value as restorers, my sincere compliments for these collagues. Where I live one can find old cars that are very well preserved so the job of restoration is very much easier. You are real artists!
Thank you so very much for saving this American classic from becoming just a memory. It's people like you with the love for the past cars and the total dedication to sink so much money to make it happen that has gotten me into cars. Long live the car restoration business, whether its any nationality's classic it doesn't matter. The chance to bring back history is quite amazing.
when I first saw the pic of the mustang I said ''ain't no way no way did he do this car back'' boy did you prove me wrong. wish I can do my 70 charger and 71 satellite like this one day. tell me how much money did you spend on the restore? and you did a darn good job restoring it too sir. this mustang is a show stunner.
im glad to see somebody tackle a project like this, it may have cost a lot but in the end that car was saved and can be enjoyed if taken care of for a lot of more years!
Yor are my hero! I've had several late model mustangs (fox bodt and up) but finally bought a 65 coupe last summer, then another just for parts ($500 for a 4 speed top load, plus another good chassis...) a month ago. I'm almost done gutting the first one, but sit back looking at what I've still got ahead of me gets a little overwelming at times... Seeing what people like you can do at home gives me hope that I too may actually have a worth while treasure when all is done, some day... Thank you
I don't know what it is but I'm 13 and I loved a 1965 mustang fastback ever since I can remember u my friend are a hero for keeping this car away from the junkyard it's just... Beautiful
hey man, love that u did this. its nice to see ppl taking old cars being neglected and giving them a new home and fixing them up. i might be getting a car to work on like this(not same car but a project car in general) in the spring with my dad. i was wondering if u can give me some pointers on what to do and what to expect. im only 15 and cant legally drive but i know my way around cars and i think it would be awesome to do, thanks for any future input
Thank god for people like you ,I am not a ford guy but I do know how much work goes in to this kind of job .i am redoing a 1966 nova that was in about in the same shape, great job on your car!
Great job! The fastback is my dream car. I hope I will be able to afford and gather the skills and patience for such a project at one point in my life. Thanks for sharing this with us.
This is a miracal of reatoration. just a shell most tuner guys would walk right past. But it's easy to see it was a labor of love! beautifull job from the ground up. Major props, man!
Outstanding job for a one car garage and no rotisserrie. You definitely have metal skills. When it was the gorgeous shell I was seeing heidt's IRS rear/SLA front=low stance. Then a roush 351/punched to 427, 6 speed,17" tires/rims with Baer 6 piston 14" front/13" rears...and that amazing smooth job of engine compartment, so nice and hidden behind clothesline of hanging wires!!! At least hide the wiring to show your beautiful work and effort. But love the orange/ghost stripe combo.
I plan on doing a porsche 944 restoration that is in similar condition to what this car used to be in, and i really love what you did. Thank you for putting up a video of this wonderful process!
Beautiful work man luv it I love people who take cars like this and take there time into creating something so messed up to a beautiful piece of old art
Watching people taking the time and effort not to mention the level of frustration just puts a smile on my face. giving life back to these legendary unicorns that we all grew up to cherish admire and love instead of leaving them to rott and disappear
Great job. Looks like you used alot of new panels. That must've made your job a hell of alot easier. Cars like this are a great inspiration for those of us that like to tinker in the shed.
hey man i respect you alot for bring back this beautiful back to life..not alot of morpar are givin a scound chance...i wish there more people like you could bring them back
Years ago I was doing a restoration on a 1971 Mach 1 and I had a relative ask me why I was putting so much effort and money into an old car. "You'll never get your money back" he said. Well, if you're going to keep it forever then the cost doesn't mean anything and you might as well install the good stuff. It appears to me that you, sir, have installed the good stuff. Beautiful car! Well done!
it's amazing....some people just don't get why it is worth the work and money. This video restored my hope for my 70 cougar.....awesome job man........fantastic stang.
Would you say, from rust to riches??? NAAAA!!! The finished photos look like the Mustang is smiling, and says thank you for rescuing me!!!!!!!! Beautiful!
Its like one of those heartwarming stories of a horse being rescued from neglect and abuse, nursed back to health and loved so much she can trust again.
Great job on the mustang :), Always love to see classic vehicles getting the love they deserve. Over this past year, me and my dad restored a 95 pontiac trans am. Put a 454 V8 big block with a fuel injection system, 5 speed manual transmission. A sexy full Exhaust system. Cut off the top and put in a tan convertible top to match the dark green metallic paint. With the addition of tan interior and rocking sound system. Nice 20" chrome rims with street performance tires and electric disc brakes.
I salute you my friend. You have the patients of Job,,,You tha man. Thanks for shareing this,I'm sure you've inspired others not to give up on their dream cars.
much respect brother, not many people would be really interested in restoring a car that was in that bad a shape....brought one more back from the dead good job! :)
Good Job! That is how I started in this business. It was a hobby that I turned into a business. Be careful. If people start asking if you will do their car, it is a slippery slope. Before you realize it, you will be hiring help and looking for a bigger shop.
IT'S People like you that Deserve to make & restore such Finds , I would rather give my car to Somebody that has the passion & heart , than any man thats got the Cash & thinks mostly of the profits Points of restoring , Great video, Great work
Wow, great job! I don't know of many who would attempt to restore a car as rough as you found it. You must've put 30 grand into it. Again job well done, General
Yes, he did an outstanding job being his first restoration project. This car now resides in Spokane, Washington and has had even more tender loving care that includes Wilwood brakes, Street & Track lowering control arms, Shelby drop. '67 Shelby hood, new Bilstein shocks on all four corners, and recently in April of 2016 - new Corbeau highback seats and finalized the interior with Pony style door panels. KEEP HER CRUISING!
OMG, you must have some balls to take on something that looks like it's got a one way ticket to the big scrap yard in the sky, you fucking genius! You've done a master class project.
Seeing somebody restoring this beast brings back my faith in humanity! That's just beautiful! Awesome job!
One of the most unbelievable transformations I've ever seen. She's beautiful.
Hats off to you on this restoration, it takes a huge amount of hard work and dedication and $$ to do something like this.
holy crap. I saw it on the trailer in the beginning. there was no way of fixing that. then you did. congratulations dudes.
People who can use a torch and do metal work are doing amazing things with these old rusted out mustang remnants. You certainly didn't pick an easy project. Fab looking car.
This really takes an amazing person to complete such a task. We need more people like you! Excellent work.

I don't think anything has made me grin so much as watching the progression of you taking a classic car rotting away to nothing and making it as good as the day it rolled out of the factory. Great work, man- really good stuff.

Assim deveria ser feito a todos os carros antigos para preservação da história automotiva.

I cant believe what I just saw. Its really like a second coming.
I don't think we can talk about restoration, but a reconstruction, yes.
Great Work.
Un Grand bravo from France.
Are you for real? You are a craftsman my friend! Congratulations on an excellent job. Look beautiful.

It wouldn't hurt it to lower it a couple of inches.
+iEvo No, lowering it an inch or two isn't stancing it. Stop going with this ugly-ass movement please.
iEvo You're too sensitive if you take any offense to what I said.
He needs to lower it
Lower it any more and it's going to hit the body.
No it wouldn't.
I don't know what it is but I'm 13 and I loved a 1965 mustang fastback ever since I can remember u my friend are a hero for keeping this car away from the junkyard it's just... Beautiful
