I quit my my job as a registered nurse last year ago after almost 9 years in the field. It was not an easy decision, but life is too short to dread going to work everyday. No amount of m oney can b uy real happiness Lol but friends I'm not asking you to resign from your job or abandon your business but be wise
@@theresamaddison1304 while I was still in service I planned towards early retirement, my first Income I do a normal 9-5, my second income I put it back to work to make more money because I'm not just after the money but the freedom to live on my terms Lol

yeah! I worked as a MA while I was in college. I scheduled my classes to 2 days per week so I can work for the rest of the week! thank you for the support 🥰
Hey Elise! Good luck with your new job! I lover your honesty and the way you speak. I think you will make a really great nurse, you speak so calm. I know that you are studying at Columbia NP school, do they still let you work full time while in program? I asked you this on other video but just wanted to make sure you read one of my comments haha. Columbia NP school is my dream school, but the fact that they don't allow students to be in a full time job is discouraging me. Would you answer me when you have time? Thank you a lot! Good day!
Hi hi! Yeah, Im currently in the Columbia fnp program and I work full time. It can be hard to balance both school and work but it’s definitely doable! Don’t let that discourage you, do apply!
I was surprised you didn’t do acute care np. Fnp.....is very tricky esp in today’s nursing world. Oncology sounds exciting and there’s constant learning! Happy for you!
I know 🥲I didn't realize what I wanted to do back then, I just wanted one with the most flexibility! But hopefully with a subspecialty, it'll be okay! 😅 thank you so much 💕hope you're doing well!! 😁✨
I completely relate to you.. I quit my first nursing job 5 months in because I was in a primary care setting as well and I dreaded my job so much. I'm applying for more acute inpatient positions. Primary setting and not having that nurse-patient relationship wasnt fun for me. I was so worried to feel like a "quitter" but I'm honestly so much happier outside of that primary care setting. Thank you for sharing that with us!
I’m the opposite! I am in the ICU (4.5 months in and new nurse) and I want to quit and go into primary care! I don’t find I get nurse-patient relationship in my area because most of the time the patients are sedated and intubated. I dead my job each day too😂 Just funny how we are all meant for a certain area and are all different.
If God will allow my family.. we will be migrating to New York..🥰 and I will be in 1st year in college I will get nursing too I hope I can see you there..
I've lived in NY my whole life. I completely understand what your going through. NY rent is insane. These apartments are amazing though. Good luck with everything!! Oh btw when you get a chance. I recently DM'd you on Instagram just asking a few questions. When you get a chance can you check it out.

I don’t like my job but I love what it provides for me and my family. This pandemic has people rethinking and working
You're right ma'am! Were you a bedside nurse and how did you plan yourself before quitting

@@svetlanalena3208 yeah and 9-5 cant give you the freedom you need. An extra income stream (passive Inc ome) is a great option keep it up
