Fun fact: in the actual legend Shuten dōji was slain by Minamoto no Yorimitsu by beheading him, the Oni tried to bite him but he stacked helmets on his head to protect himself.
Are the monsters and gameplay all some sort of stop motion? The visible framerate slow and the way some moster moves during gameplay segments feels like stop motion, but the cutscenes are extra smooth tho.
Shuten-Doji is such a good character to me because to boil it down, he is a supreme overlord who is all powerful but due to one exception, that being Takeshi, he is a coward.
Interesting animation style choice, the cutscenes are smooth, but the gameplay is stop-motion. Unfortunately in some areas I notice the foreground actually covers the play area. Will see if they address this, for now I'm wishlisting it
Yes it does and it was very annoying when you are trying to watch out for enemies or where your character is and it ends up getting you killed. There were also a lot of places where I couldnt see platforms I had to jump to because they were covered by the foreground
It looks great, thanks for this upload 🙂 The bosses and enemy variety are a let down unfortunately. Only a few types of enemies and the bosses only use a few skills. That giant monster near the end was so bad, i'm surprised they even left it into their game. The art style was great to watch though!
The bosses was such a let down as you said, they only do a few moves that are very easy to dodge. When the final boss died, I was so surprised that was it. But the artstyle and the whole aesthetic of the game kept me going

6:42 The cat looks so unamussed 😂
"Hooman, you're late"

Yes they are ^^
@CaleoGaming Oh, that's neat.
Good video bro
Artistically it's gorgeous. Not sure though about graphically dying cat...
Wish there was an option in settings where there’s no cutscene and the screen goes dark then restarts you back too the start of wherever you were

The audio design is so bad I was expecting too much from this game
Be great if it was in the Playstation store.
