    ABOUT:
    In this video we will creatively explore the concept of DOUBLE EXPOSURE in CAPTURE ONE PRO 20. You can not add into the edited photo elements from another image inside CAPTURE ONE. Typically this sort of photo editing work would be done in Photoshop. My aim was to find a way of introducing objects, or "overlay" from another image to the photo I was editing but WITHOUT LEAVING CAPTURE ONE. Watch the video to find out the creative technique I introduced into my editing workflow to get two images interact in one single frame. All inside CAPTURE ONE.
    This tutorial has a background music, some people found it annoying, so if you prefer to watch the tutorial with NO MUSIC - check the link here instead: • Creative DOUBLE EXPOSU...

    A very unusual way of creating the effect. Thank you :) Will try it sooner than later!!

      I love experimenting this way. It is a hit or miss, since you can’t rotate nor scale the mask, but still fun !

    Great video. I am curious, could you not rotate the image of the texture file before placing it on the portrait to get the "rotation" of the mask?

    • @KasiaZmokla
      @KasiaZmokla  4 года назад

      Thanks Dan! Regarding the mask rotation - I would like to have possibility of aligning the mask directly over the base image, to work on composition. Rotating it beforehand is sort of a "blind guess" - not much fun. I did tests though - if you rotate the image from which you take the mask, and then copy the adjustments, this will include: adjustments for the "Layers" tool and rotation. So you will apply the mask plus rotation and your portrait will be rotated too. If you remove the rotation adjustment in the Adjustments Clipboard, before applying it to the portrait - the mask will be applied straight.
      Despite all the limitations I still love the unpredictability of this technique and painterly results.

    I find the music distracting and could be left out of the video.

      Thanks for your feedback Dane. The music sounds differently on my stationery machine, laptop and mobile :D I agree it is too loud in certain parts of the vid. I'll keep that in mind in my next tutorial.

    Whoever told you that a soundtrack would enhance your tutorial videos was lying to you. It is distracting, it is louder than your voice and you will never find music that appeals to everyone. I had to stop watching this tutorial because the soundtrack was competing with you and was winning. Please don’t make your tutorials in this way. Your information is valuable and your content is good. Why ruin it with dreadful music?

      Alan thank you for taking time and sharing your impressions. I guess you are right about finding an universal soundtrack that will please everyone. I'm experimenting with different formats of my tutorials and really appreciate your thoughts. Skipping the music simplifies the vid creation process for me, if it helps the content to sink in, then probably I'll get back to silence :)

      Kasia Zmokla, Trust me when I say that voice alone is more than enough to capture the viewer’s attention. You have a beautiful timbre and quite melodic speaking voice that I could listen to all day. And your command of English as a second language for you is far greater than my pathetic attempts at Polish will ever be :-) Keep it simple. Also, if you choose to have a short introductory piece of music at the beginning of your videos then keep them short to no more than 15 seconds and change them every couple of lessons. I find it frustrating if I am binge watching a number of tutorial videos to have the same, repetitive and quite unnecessary music padding out the start of each lesson that I just want to get on and watch. You are not producing a blockbuster movie but doing what you do best in delivering a first-class training product to educate and enlighten. You alone are enough. You do not need the bells and whistles. So far I am enjoying your paid for course on Capture One 2020 . If I have any criticism it is a small one. I would appreciate you delivering your explanations a little more slowly when demonstrating what you are doing on the screen so I have time to follow along with you, making notes as I go. Otherwise I have to keep stopping and starting the video which makes the whole learning process more cumbersome than it needs be. Other than that I am pleased I have found you and look forward to learning everything I can about using Capture One as my prime RAW editor.

      @@alanwheetman6435 thank you so much! I'm very happy that you value my content enough to provide such a detailed feedback, after just being annoyed with some "dreadful" music :D I have uploaded the tutorial in a "music-free" version, you can watch it here: ruclips.net/video/VvPxSf9DT1I/видео.html
      Thanks for complementing my voice, I find it quite amusing hahaha! I've read something a while ago on the difference how we perceive our own voice versus how it is heard from the "outside" of our bodies. Basically what the voice owner hears is his voice plus some internal bone-structure vibration (I don't remember exactly right now the exact term). Most of the people hearing themselves recorded are surprised how flat they sound, I include myself into that majority. Hearing it "all day long" would drive me crazy very fast ;)
      I'm glad you are enjoying my course on Capture One 20, the pace of teaching was always tricky subject. Sort of the same as with music - it is almost impossible to meet everyones taste/needs. If you had any questions - please don't even think twice and reach out, I'm happy to help. You can start a discussion inside the course, as other students did, so that way everyone can benefit. Otherwise you can drop me an email. Thanks and greetings from Poland 🇵🇱

      @@KasiaZmokla you are very welcome and the tutorial is so better without the background music. Thank you for responding so efficiently to my observation.
