UPDATE Easy PVC Guide Poles for Your Boat Trailer

  • I previously made a video about how to mount DIY guide poles to your boat trailer using PVC pipe and u-bolts. A year later, I have a bit of an update and a slight modification.
    I love the u-bolt mout, but I should have used longer pipe and not wasted time or money on the caps.

    So after watching the boat guy’s video and yours here’s what I came up with ,I’m lucky enough to have a trailer parts store close to the house , bought two galvanized L brackets bolted them to the frame and used a 10’ piece cut in half with caps , I wanted taller posts because I can’t see the boat backing up and needed to see the poles and I wanted to get the lights and plate out of the water , 👍🏼

      Found them at Lowe's. Size will all depend on your trailer frame. Measure accordingly
