I have this boiler basiclly the rad had loads of rust on the front and it caused pin hole leak and the rad had loads of cold spots, We left the rad off and spoke with landlord and he said "leave it off while I try contact the gas man I dont want leaks " skip ahead 3 months later because he couldn't get the right size rad, He finnaly managed to get a new radiator and he got a man to come put today to fit it ! The guy fitted it amazingly well and even filled and painted the wall behind it for us! Ge filled the rads back up to just over 1 and he leaked them also, after that we waited at least 45mins to an hour for it heat up and not 1 of the heaters was heating up! Bare in mind the flame kept going out and I told the landlord months before the rust came that when we leaked the rads the water was black and dark brown I don't know much about boilers but I have been researching because I'm 100% sure hes not getting professionals out to the jobs as they seem to cut corners and get it fixed within the click of a switch! Which to then more problems occurred! First was just the pilot flame then the rads were all turning on and heating at different rates then the boiler made weird noises then we noticed the black water when we leaked them to get them running smoothly again ! The previous tenant painted the rads and it was hard to see underneath and I didnt redecorate for a year so the rust started to show through and when I put my finger over it the whole rad felt rusty and I picked back the paint and water came trickling out , I told the landlord months ago the whole system has sludge and if its left too long the whole system will require a flush aswell as probably a new valve as I think that's what has happened during summer him making us keep it off (we normally at least have it on for half hour a week during summer just so we knew it ran smoothly but because he couldn't get right rad and we had to wait 3 months it got way way worse ) i did tell him it would corrode the inside of boiler too when it spreads around system ! Am I right in thinking because we have got hot water but no heating that the pipe to the heating valve it blocked which has caused the heating valve switch to erode and break and not switch over 🤔. How much on average do you think he will get the problem sorted for im sick of bodge gas man coming and doing temp fixes we been without heat for months and can only wash and bath! Its now winter i live in walsall so im not far from you ! I have same boiler as the one in this video thanks and sorry for very long comment 🙏 😢 just getting me proper angry because I'm sure I knew the problem from day 1 and I called it the fact that it would erode the whole system if he didn't fix it sooner rather than later !
